Four years ago, Pam’s divorce devastated her. The cruelty of her ex husband crushed her spirit. After battling personal demons, she’s finally made a life for herself. Now remarried, raising her kids, working at a job she loves, the scars of Alan Archer’s emotional abuse are beginning to fade. Her newfound happiness turns to bitterness when Alan returns to Garfield. Confronted with a wall of pain … pain she thought she’d buried, Pam must learn that secrets and carefully cultivated indifference do not equal forgiveness.
Alan Archer has returned to Garfield with a new wife, a fresh commitment to God, and a terminal heart condition. His mission? To leave a Christian legacy for his children and to gain Pam’s forgiveness for the sins of his past.
Two hearts hang in the balance waiting for the delicate touch of God’s healing hands.

A great story held my interest all the way through and of course I cried at the last few chapters, but I highly recommend it
It was worthless in my opibion.
This book was too emotional for me; I only read a couple of chapters. I’m sure it is true to life, bit I read for pleasure -and it wasn’t too tense (I guess that makes it well-written!),
I was not very happy with the lead character. She was too unforgiving and needy. I think she went overboard with her dislike or hate for her ex-husband even after 4 years.
Really gives a person something to think about when searching for answers when someone has been hurt. Forgiveness can be extremely difficult.
Very good. Liked the problem with forgiveness
I’ve enjoyed Sharon’s books for their insight to difficult situation that one might face as a Christian themselves or others in the family of God to be able to minister to them.
I found it very hard to put this book down! Pam, a woman devastated by her husband. The main theme being unforgiveness or forgiveness. And her walk through each.
I love that it is clean……no bad words or sex details in the story. It is my kind of good reading.
Pam is an emotional wreck! I found her irritating at times.
It was real to life and one could easily relate to it.
I had not read Sharon Scrocks writing before but I will now. Good character development and story line.
Loved the characters- even the Ex!
Very real situations! Kept me reading. Was able to relate to characters
This book has a lot of forgiveness, learning, sadness, willingness to change and become more…….. in other words. real life!
It kept me reading. There wasn’t a lot of character development, but somehow it worked anyway.
I have read three in the series and I have enjoyed them very much.
They are realistic and inspiring
This is a good book that deals with forgiveness. It shows how difficult it can be to truly forgive.
Hard to put down. One of my favorite authors.
Excellent Read
