Definitely “x” rated content at times, very disturbing also. However, it was compelling enough to want to keep reading.
I enjoyed the book and Was not ready for it to end! The only complaint I have is the terrible proof-reading. It was very distracting.
You never know who a person truly is and this series proves this over and over. Twists and turns which are unexpected, the author crafts characters with light and dark sides. I wish the boxed set was available when I was reading the series… I patiently waited for each new volume!
Lots of drama in this book. I have never read anything with so many spelling and punctuation errors
Okay I enjoy it yes but it’s sad. Had me thinking about life and love different. Thank God my mother was somewhat normal lol. Also very protective
This is definitely not a happily ever after read. The resilience of this woman is an inspiration to all.
This is a very good book, having said that it was strange. It took me to many places I never had thought to go or even knew might be a consideration of where I would want to go. The turns it took and revelations it produced were very thought provoking. It showed that you never know someone, truly know them until you walk in their shoes. I truly loved this book.
Despite MANY spelling errors throughout (which would normally make me stop reading), I was drawn in by the complexities of Jack smith’s life and legacy. I binge read the set in a week before I realized there are 19 books in the series. I tried to move on to other books, but I cannot. I am drawn in and must know what is going on with everyone! Well worth the read. While Jack’s escapades are not most people’s norms, Jenkins does a great job portraying the ways those we are close to contribute to how we are in the world.
I couldn’t give zero stars. I should have known not to finish reading this, but I thought it would surely turn a corner out of the dark. But ho a wrong I was.
Loved every single book. Great characters and storyline
It seemed like a roman à clef.
A soap opera in the classical sense. Excellent way to be able to step into and out of a long, long saga.
I did not find this engaging. Self centered character with poor potrail of the real trial of gays and bisexual characters. Had to stop reading due to this.
Very good, ease to keep up with
Liked it
I THOUROUGLY ENJOYED THE BOOK.
I couldn’t even finish the book before I had to delete it. I did not like “he/she will find out later that…” I also didn’t like how much sex with either sex one of the main characters had. It was just gross. I would not recommend this book.
This is hard book to put down.
I just don’t know about this book. I was very interested throughout the book wanting to know more but, I found it hard to follow at times. It is suppose to be 5 books in one, but there is no separation so it’s impossible to know. There are many more books in the series. I’m curious about later developments, but like I already said….I just don’t know about this book.
Poorly written
