She was my best friend. The person I told my deepest secrets to. But when my world came crashing down, it was all because of her family. From that moment, I realized I’d been wrong to trust her. Her big caring eyes and sweet face were nothing but an act as she’d watched on while I tried to keep my head above water. That was our past. Now, I’ve largely put Camila behind me and moved on with my … Camila behind me and moved on with my life. Though it doesn’t explain why she’s always there: taunting me, tempting me, showing me the life I could have been living.
I should have been laughing when her own world turned upside down. Karma always wins out in the end. But suddenly we’re forced together once again and I have no choice but to remember the girl I’ve tried so hard to forget.
Dear Reader,
PAINE is the highly anticipated follow up to my high school bully romance, THORN. Are you ready to discover the truth about what happened between Camila and Mason? This enemies to lover romance is full of angst, drama, emotions and of course steam. It is an upper YA romance and not intended for readers under 17. I hope you enjoy. xo

Best friends….enemies….lovers… oh yeah this read has it all. It’s exactly what I love about bully romances.
Growing up as best friends Mason and Camila were inseparable until tragedy happens and ruins their friendship. Four long years he torches her until finally she needs him again.
Y’all this is a fantastic read. I thought I loved the first book in this series and I do but Payne really grabbed my heart. I really enjoyed it and once I dug in I couldn’t stop until the end. This is a definite must read and I can’t see where the author takes us next.

Really good book! Paine is the second in the Rosewood High series, and you definitely need to read Thorn before you read this one. This is not a quick read. This is not a book for the feint of heart. It is full of surprisingly adult situations, emotions, and actions. But if you like drama, angst, bad boys facing their demons, and sweet girls who love their men heart and soul, then this is the book for you. Looking forward to reading the next in the series!

Camila and Mason are not your typical enemies to lovers. They have a history of being best friends and that connection just doesn’t go away.
Camila is living her life. She is happy. She has a boyfriend who she trusts, and parents who would do anything for her. On the outside she seems like she has it all, but deep down she feels like she is missing something.
Mason harbors a ton of resentment. His life is secretly falling apart, and he is the only one trying to pick up the pieces.
These two had to endure a lot of heartbreak and struggles. I was honestly holding my breath because the twist kept on coming.
Even though this is Camila’s and Mason’s story, it includes several scenes with past characters. These scenes will have you falling even harder for them, and the ending will leave you speechless. I honestly need the next book now.

Tracy had me falling for Jake Thorn’s charm with the previous book in this series but with Paine she managed to completely steal my heart. Mason was everything I had expected and more. There were so many faces to this loving boy who was despicable to only one person… his old best friend and love, Cami.
We knew from Thorn that these two had been bestfriends when they were little and then some unknown thing happened and they became public enemies. In Paine, we get all the answers to our burning questions and wow the pain and heartache that surrounds that one event totally hit me.
Mason lost so much in one day and I felt so much of his pain and the heavy responsibility he carried since that day onwards, not because he was guilty but because he suddenly became responsible for keeping his family above water and that took such a toll on him and his dreams. Everything regarding Mason’s situation really made me so sad and mad for him. Even more so later on when Tracy managed to break my heart, I might have teared up a lot in some of those chapters.
Even with all the BS he dealt with and responsibility he had to carry, all his hate towards Cami was unwarranted. Cami carried no blame for what had happened but that 13 yo boy who lost so much in one day prefered to lose his bestfriend at his own choice than lose her later at hers. Guys my heart couldn’t take it. The hateful actions towards Cami… you could see that he actually was trying to help her, she just didn’t want to see it because she too was clouded by his hate towards her.
When Mason’s living situation goes from bad to worst, the unthinkable happens.. they move in next door and gosh watching these two live together trying to hate each other but actually just wanting to jump each other’s bones… it was entertaining. They loved being complete jerks to each other and when that passion burned in closed corners it became another energy all together. I loved watching them give in, talking it all out and being honest about their real feelings.
To be honest, I just really loved these two. Their story was complex, emotional and super angsty. It was an enemies to lovers that had has much heart as hatred. Cami and Mason will hit you right in the feels at times. It was also really nice to see Jake and Amelie again and see how happy and in love they were. And GOSH Ethan man… he was breaking my heart in this one too… I cannot wait for his book… specially after the bomb Tracy dropped at the end of this book!
If you loved Thorn than you gotta read this one because I’m 99,9% sure you’ll love Paine so much more. I know I did! And if you haven’t picked up this series, you have to (!!), specially if you enjoy bully, enemies or friends to lovers.
The story of Mason and Cam is full of surprises, heat and heart. I am glad to have had the chance to read this story.

An emotional roller coaster of a read about Mason and Cami and their once solid friendship breaking down after her parents caused his dad to leave town , he’s tormented her for 4 years even though he loves her , until one night she gives herself to him , enjoyed this book immensely and recommend to other readers

*Spoiler Alert*
Childhood friends Camila (FMC) and Mason end up enemies at the beginning of this book. Mainly because Mason blames Camila and her family for the break up of his family. As well as all the troubles they have had because of it. I struggled to not like Mason because i believed that at his heart he was actually a decent guy who was just lashing out from being hurt (not that i wouldnt happily have slapped him for some of the ways he treated Camila). Still some parts of this book were truly sad to read and the relationship between both characters were genuinely sweet when they got over their grievances. Such a damn fine read
Hands down – an amazing book and cast of characters! I loved the story of Camila and mason so much. The ups and downs and ultimately their hea! Great job!
It was great read this book. Highly recommended. Look forward for next book from you soon. No spoilers here.
This is the 2nd book in this awesome series. Mason and Camila used to be best friends until something happened, and he blamed her. This is a well written flawless emotional roller coaster, with angst, drama, secrets, twists, and is an intense and steamy enemies / lovers’ story. I was totally hooked and intrigued throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more in this phenomenal series. I highly recommend for all as a must read!!
Whoa! I had a hard time putting this down and if I did it was because I fell asleep. I had a couple long nights with this one. Mason’s story didn’t go the way I thought it did and it took me by surprise. Some of the revelations had me gasping and with my mouth wide open. But let’s not forget that the chemistry between Mason and Camila that we sort of glimpsed in Thorn is here and even more explosive. There’s no way I couldn’t root for them and I kept screaming at them to get their sh*t together already. Now I’m left waiting for Savage and I can’t wait to see what Tracy has in store for him. I can already tell I may need a drink, or ten, with him.
Terrific!
This is book 2 in the series and is Mason and Camila’s story. Cam and Mason were destined to be together. Their parents had always thought they’d end up married. But four years ago Mason’s life changed and he blamed Cami and her parents for every bad thing in his life. As much as he loved her, he heated her. Now it’s all coming to a head. Will Mason and Cami work it all out or will it all go to hell just when it starts to get better? I can’t wait for book 3!

I love Mason and Camila’s story. These two were best friends when they were younger and just when they seemed to take the next step a tragic event happens and now Mason has it out for Camila and who worst to have as an enemy than your former best friend who knows everything about you. Even though he claims to have her when things happen he still shows that he would always protect her. This is a best friend turn enemies turn lovers story mixed with family drama, angst and steam. I couldn’t out it down.
Can’t wait to read more from this series!
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
PAINE is book number 2 in the Rosewood High series. Camila and Mason used to be best friends until that trust was betrayed by Camila when she turned her back on Mason. When Camila’s world is turned upside down the only person that she can turn to is Mason and they are forced together again weather they like it or not. Can these two former best friends finally realize that they are better together than apart and can they put there past behind them for good. Will these two get there second chance at a happily ever after you will have to read this book to find out.

The second book to the Rosewood High series brings an interesting enemies to lovers romance with strong, well developed characters. The author does a great job developing the story line and bringing tons of emotions throughout. The chemistry is still there and I enjoyed watching them come together.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
So before writing this review, I’ve just re-read my review for ‘Thorn’, and I ended it saying I thought that this book would be better and I was really looking forward to it. I also said I hadn’t warmed to Jake and didn’t like him at all.
Well, I can certainly say I did prefer this book as a whole, but I’m not sure I preferred Mason as a character in the end. I did, however, think Jake softened a little in this book. He didn’t seem so thug-like. This made him much more relatable and likeable.
Mason, however, I wasn’t sure what there was to like. I’m not sure if it was the book cover that wasn’t helping me as he just isn’t my type (sorry real model bloke!). I’m not into floppy-haired guys and certainly not scowlful ones. Mason was just so angry at the whole world. I know we find out why, but it was hard to get on board with him at first as we don’t initially know what has happened to make him like this. We are drip-fed the reasons, so it takes time to discover the fuel for his anger. Even when we do know I’m not sure this really excuses his treatment of Camila over the past four years.
Camilla is a breath of fresh air in comparison to Mason; she doesn’t let things get to her as much, but she does still have the right amount of teenage angst. In fact, I think Tracy manages to write the characters perfectly hormonally. You never forget that they are only eighteen. Everything they have to deal with (Mason’s family issues aside) is all very well written and are in keeping with their ages.
So much happens in the book that you are gripped the entire way through and are left guessing as to what could happen at every turn. You are also given small tidbits and teasers into what is coming next for Ethan Savage! He is currently a complete mess and definitely needs a good woman to sort him out!
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book, and I loved how the book developed, and the characters evolved throughout the story. The story as a whole made more sense than the first book which is why I enjoyed it so much more, and it was great that all of the characters are still playing a role so you could see how Jake and Amalie are getting on. A fantastic, gritty and slightly dark love story.

Tracy did it again; I’m not sure if to love or hate it! I didn’t not want to put this down! I did everything I could to slow down and not read this book so fast but I want to know what happened! Cami and Mase were incredible! The chemistry these two had and the way they fought it was amazing. I loved that we still got to see Jake and Amalie and how we got some answers from the first book. The lead up to book number 3 has me not so patiently waiting! I highly recommend this book!

Mason Payne sees things that others don’t see, and hides all the things he doesn’t want known. Camilla’ family destroyed his happiness at a young age. Camilla never figured out why their relationship went bad.
Speed up four years later where Mason has to do everything in his power to make sure no one really knows what life is like at home. He keeps things running, and makes sacrifices no one knows about………until Camilla stumbles upon some things. Suddenly all his anger, hurt, and snide remarks makes sense. The boy she loved is still there. Together these two navigate through the what could have been, the present, and what do we want.
Tracy delivers a other wonderful heart felt story that gives the reader all the feelings that leave us wanting more!
The book is a good romance read. The story is the second book in the Rosewood High series but can be read as a standalone read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable enemies to lovers romance read.

Divided by the past, but never forgotten.
He’s always there in the background watching over her whether she knows it or not.
His hatred of her is evident in all that he does and all that he is.
Will he ever return to the boy she once adored?
Back to Rosewood we go for the second book in this series of enemies to lovers/bully romance reads.
The spotlight now shines down upon Camilla and Mason.
She’s the girl who doesn’t want to admit the truth, not even to herself.
Whilst he’s the boy who destroyed their friendship because hatred grew in his heart.
I found myself drawn to him and his protective ways, but there was something magical missing from this book which I cant quite put my finger on.
The story was engaging and kept me entertained but I didn’t devour this book I read it in segments which speaks volumes.
I wasnt hooked, desperate for more, but at the same time there was nothing wrong with this. It was good and enjoyable just for me personally missing the wow factor.
So for the above reasons I’m giving this four stars.
