She was my best friend. The person I told my deepest secrets to. But when my world came crashing down, it was all because of her family. From that moment, I realized I’d been wrong to trust her. Her big caring eyes and sweet face were nothing but an act as she’d watched on while I tried to keep my head above water. That was our past. Now, I’ve largely put Camila behind me and moved on with my … Camila behind me and moved on with my life. Though it doesn’t explain why she’s always there: taunting me, tempting me, showing me the life I could have been living.
I should have been laughing when her own world turned upside down. Karma always wins out in the end. But suddenly we’re forced together once again and I have no choice but to remember the girl I’ve tried so hard to forget.

Hold onto your hearts people! Mason and Camila’s story will blow you away. These two have been friends for a very long time, until something happens between their families, and Mason swears to never trust Camila again. Camila has been in love with Mason for so long, so it was so hurtful when he stopped being her friend and became her enemy. The love-hate relationship between these two is perfectly depicted as we all know that feeling from high school. As they try to stay away from each other, circumstances change and now they are completely in each others face all the time. How do they handle that??? The way this author writes, you can feel their emotions, their struggles, and their unbelievable chemistry too! These two characters are perfect for each other, and you can only hope that they discover that they are sooner than later. I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to more books in this incredible series!
Paine is a YA bully romance between Mason and Cami who were best friends growing up. Their story takes us on a crazy ride filled with drama, angst, steam and an ending that left me ready for the next book in this series.
This book has my head spinning and my thoughts jumbled. I will most likely re-read my review and update it in a few days after I get my thoughts straightened out but I had to share my raw review cause the book was amazing!
Paine is the second book in the Rosewood Series by Tracy Lorraine and it picks up right where Thorn ended. If there is one thing I love about the way Tracy Lorraine tells a story, its how she puts you in the story and makes you feel the way her characters feel! This book will seriously send you on a roller coaster of emotions with lots of highs and lows and possibly even a few tears shed along the way. I loved Mason & Camila in Thorn so I am excited that they got their own book and that we finally get to know their back story!!
Mason and Camila used to be best friends and even shared a kiss but the very next day Mason’s life fell apart and he blamed Camila’s family for the events that happened. These once best friends and now enemies that rarely associate with each other but they are about to be forced back together. As these two are forced to lived under the same roof together they are also forced to deal with the feelings that had in the past that never really went away.
Mason was an amazing character, he sacrificed so much for his family, especially his younger brothers. He worked hard to support his family and try to keep them afloat while still balancing work and football and dealing with his mom’s issues. His inner turmoil when it comes to his feelings about Camila is both frustrating to watch and slightly swoon worthy, like he can’t help but made snide comments yet he will beat her boyfriend up for cheating on her. Camila was a feisty, incredibly loyal, and sweet character that never fully understood why Mason stopped being her friend. She had so much spunk and even after Mason was a jerk to her she still wanted to protect him in subtle ways like not telling others about his job. When she is finally willing to give into her feelings her chemistry with Mason is off the charts!
I am obsessed with this series and I love that we got to catch up with the other supporting characters like Ethan, Jake, Amalie & even Shane! Seeing them all now makes me swoon even more for Jake then I did in the first book but I think Mason my be my new favorite leading man. I highly recommend reading this book after reading Thorn.

Camila and Mason.
While the bully genre isn’t my thing (at all) I do like Tracy Lorraine, so I gave it a go. It’s better than most and well written, but I’m still not on board with the bully genre.
Definitely a 5 star read!!!
Paine by Tracy Lorraine , it’s a full ride into an emotional rollercoaster that it’s full of angst, steamy and sexy moments, hot football players, friendship and a hard headed alpha you can’t help but fall in love with because underneath all his hard exterior there it’s a sweet and caring guy. Totally swoon by Mason.
This is a best friends to enemies to lovers story that has Mason( hot football player) and Camila ( sweet and innocent girl next door) as main characters.
It’s been four years since their friendship ended and Mason’s life turn upside down. In those four years Mason’s goal has become ruin Camila’s life making her pay for what her family did to his. Deeply he never stop caring for Camila and when he finds out Camila’s boyfriend Noah is been unfaithful and her life is crumbling down he is there.
Camila in the other hand doesn’t believe in nothing that comes from Mason’s mouth, but things change when they find each other living under the same roof, things get very intense and sparks fly, they can’t fight their chemistry. Towards the end of the book something happens that put everything into a test, it literally took me by surprise putting this book as one of my favorites to read.
This is book two in the Rosewood High series. This is Camila and Mason’s story. These two have a past, present but do they have a future? Fate and Karma can be cruel and heartless things that seem to have a hold on these two at one point I the story or another. This was a great story to read. It is full details and emotions sure to keep you flipping the pages to the end. Enjoy!

Paine the newest release in an explosive romance takes high school to a new level. Camille and Mason’s hate/love relationship will give you whiplash but when they love the love hard. I loved the drama, the heat and the emotions that run through them as they navigate such an explosive journey. I enjoyed how the author brings her character life by giving them such characteristics that you can help but cheer for their HEA. This was an awesome addition to the series and I can’t wait for Ethan’s story.
LOVING THIS SERIES! Paine is book two in the Rosewood series. This high school, enemies-to-lover’s romance is jam packed with feels, angst, drama and steamy hot goodness. The story-line was gripping, intense and explosively emotional. I literally could not inhale the words fast enough. I absolutely loved it! Add in the delicious, drive-you-insane slow burn that fires to life between Mason and Camila, and it is simply EVERYTHING. Five stars all the way around.
I really enjoyed this book and I thought it was an overall excellent entry into this intense, emotional series. If you’ve read book one, (Jake and Amelie’s story) there is no doubt in my mind that you have been eager to find out more about Cami and Mason and this book truly delivered everything you could have asked for. You best be prepared to for one epic roller coaster ride of feels that this YA, enemies to lovers, bully romance sends you on. Even though Mason chose to act like a colossal jerk, I must be honest and admit my heart hurt for both these two as the traveled a very rocky road littered with raw emotions, drama, angst and steam. I loved it and am eagerly looking forward to the next entry in this enticing series.
The characters are outstanding in this story. Mason and Camila both show so much strength of character despite, or maybe because of, what each has gone through. It’s an emotional ride for the reader watching their story play out and how they try to deal with everything that comes their way. Lots of angst to frustrate the reader, while the sizzling hot chemistry between them burns up the pages!
Grab your copy and experience this amazing story, amazing because of the way it grabs the reader and won’t let go. Despite Mason’s misdirected blame, he is still right there for Camila when things go badly for her – and that little shred of hope gets us through their story with hope for a good outcome. Definitely pick up this book and share their story! You won’t want to miss that experience!
5 STARS
Tracy Lorraine blew me away with this book. She’s a new to me author and I will definitely be reading more of her work. Mason and Camilla have a long history, but due to events beyond their control, their friendship suffers. I loved the angst and drama between the two and their chemistry was off the charts.
If you enjoy bully romances and my favorite trope, enemies to lovers, then you’ll definitely want to read this. This is the second book in the Rosewood Series, but can be read as a standalone. PAINE by Tracy Lorraine is an EPIC read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
I LOVED this book ! I’m new to Tracy Lorraine , Thorn having been my first and I absolutely LOVE this series! Paine is a angsty drama filled enemies to lovers bully romance with a lot of steam ! I Freaking Love Mason and Cami-Bear!! These two best friends to enemies to lovers book captured my attention when I first read about them in Thorn. After Mason’s life got turned upside down by his parents he pointed all of his rage, hurt and blame onto his bestie for destroying his life. For four years Mason bullied Camila anytime he could. Camila missed hated Mason and didn’t have time to waste or think about him. She was enjoying her senior year with her best friend Amalie and boyfriend Noah. Mason and Camila’s relationship is pure fire. Their chemistry is through the roof and even though they swear they hate each other you can cut the sexual tension with a knife. Camila goes through a lot in this book from betrayals, misunderstandings and grief. My heart hurt for her. This book is so much more than a bully romance. The way that Tracy Lorraine spins this tale you feel every emotional heartache and you want to read it all at once to watch her put the pieces back together. This series is phenomenal and I cannot wait for Ethan’s story to come out!! This is a MUST READ!!
Paine is book two in the Rosewood High Series by Tracy Lorraine. After reading book 1 Thorn i was instantly intrigued by the little snipets we got of Mason and Camilla and there hatred for each other and I just new their story was going to be good and I was definitely not disappointed
Growing up next door to each other Camilla and Mason were inseparable and always there for each other no matter what until something happens that turns Mason’s life inside out and he is left hating the family who he felt caused it all. Camilla’s family. Soon their friendship turns to hate with Mason constantly taking his frustrations out on Camilla. But when things start going wrong in Camilla’s perfect life would he still be willing to care for the girl who was once his whole world
This story was such an addictive read. I loved the constant back and forth, push and pull between Camilla and Mason. You could really tell how conflicted these two were about each other yet neither was willing to gice up or give in. Their chemistry was intense and the banter was on point. I loved Mason so much and listening to him struggle with everything he was dealing with was heart breaking at times and even when he was acting in a way that frustrated me I could still see the good in him and how loyal and caring he was
Like any new adult bully/enemies to lovers book this story has a lot of angst as well as OW/OM drama but honestly I didnt mind it. I actually enjoyed all the drama in this story and even though he could be horrible at times Mason also made me swoon
I also really loved how we got the unresolved storyline from Thorn carried over in Paine and we got the answers we were waiting for as well as some snippets of what to come next in Savage (book 3) and I can’t wait for it
Book 2 in the Rosewood High Series by Tracy Lorraine will have you consumed by Mason and Camilla’s story. There is so much angst, hate and love. The undeniable attraction and connection between the hero and heroine is epic. This enemies to lovers, ya bully romance will have you devouring the pages. Props to The author for delivering a great read.
Oh my..Mason what are you trying to do to us? He is giving us whip lash with his feelings and actions towards Camilla. I Knew from Thorn that his story was going to be explosive and jam packed and I was right. I loved Mason’s story. He really is a troubled soul, struggling to keep afloat whilst trying to do the right thing. There are a few twists I did not see coming but it did tie up a few loose ends. His journey isn’t an easy one but with the help from his friends and Camilla we find that what he thought was once lost was just hiding in the wings. I loved this story and I’m loving this series. I’m looking forward to reading Ethan’s story.
Best friends….enemies….lovers… oh yeah this read has it all. It’s exactly what I love about bully romances.
Growing up as best friends Mason and Camila were inseparable until tragedy happens and ruins their friendship. Four long years he torches her until finally she needs him again.
Y’all this is a fantastic read. I thought I loved the first book in this series and I do but Payne really grabbed my heart. I really enjoyed it and once I dug in I couldn’t stop until the end. This is a definite must read and I can’t see where the author takes us next.
