Willa Knight: The saviour of both worlds, or the destruction of everything?Sometimes history lies, and the tales of Minatsol and Topia are no different. Since the birth of Topia, Staviti has woven a web of deceit around the truth of Creation, striving only to maintain his power while destroying anything that gets in his way. Now, Willa and the Abcurses are determined to strip back the layers, to … back the layers, to uncover the truth, and to understand the true nature of the two worlds before it’s too late.
The only problem?
Any wrong step in their quest to restore balance might have terrible repercussions. Every single being—living or dead—might have to pay the price.

Great ending to a wonderful RH series. I re-read this series several times a year. Great characters. Good story. Funny.
I loved it. This is a great finale. I’m really satisfied with how it all worked out. The whole series was exceptional. I’m kind of sad that it’s over.
An epic tale of Gods and Monsters. What’s not to love?
Wow! Just wow! What an epic end to this series.
I’ve absolutely loved this world of Gods and monsters. The extraordinary and the mundane. I’ve blasted through all five books in just over two days, to the exclusion of everything else.
It’s a brilliant story. I loved the characters; the development and growth in all of them across all five books was wonderful. I was hugely invested in what happened to them and, if I’m honest, I’m a little sad that it’s all come to an end.

I found myself feeling a bit differently towards this book than I did with the previous books in the series. For some reason it took me much longer to get through this last book when I read the other books in a single day. I just wasn’t feeling it like I did with the other books. I suppose that I just have to chalk it up to being a mood reader. I read the previous books in less than a week and at the time I was really feeling light paranormal romance. At the time, the absurdities in the books didn’t bother me hardly at all. I ran with them. This time around, the absurdities grated on my nerves and made things seem too unbelievable for comfort. Absurdities like a single girl being in a relationship with five brothers at the same time and having group sex with said five brothers for starters. I also felt the main character’s personality bothered me heavily in this book where previously she could be a bit annoying but tolerable overall. I started out liking her strong personality but by the end she seemed too superficial to me. Again, just a day in the life of a mood reader. Honestly though, this series is like a guilty pleasure book series. One that is entertaining but you don’t really take too seriously. I feel like if this book were a huge epic fantasy full of intense world-building and complex characters then I wouldn’t be so jaded. Eh, it is what it is. I won’t lie and say that I didn’t have fun reading this series even though my mood changed for the last book. The writing in this book was just as good at the other books and the story was delightful overall. Just because my enjoyment was dampered on this last book, it doesn’t mean that it has anything to do with the book itself. I don’t want to sound like a downer because this book is entertaining and has its merits. Overall, I would recommend this series to those that can handle the reverse harem aspect of the series. If you are looking for a light fantasy read with plenty of steam then this series will be right up your alley.
I just finished this five book series with a big smile on my face. The adventures of Willa and her five Abcurses was fantastic. I can’t remember ever laughing so much while reading a series. If you want a feel good series to bring a little joy into your world I highly recommend this one!
Amazing way to end this legendary series!!
Not going to comment a lot of the story because I don’t want to be THAT person who spoils this amazing series for anyone. I will say my only critiques are that the ending/battle was a little short lived and I wish there was a little more detail in the epilogue/ending but it made me smile and happy nonetheless.
Thank you Jaymin and Jane for creating these amazing characters that made me fall in love with reverse harem all those years ago. Thank you for pouring your heart into this story and giving us humor, love, tension, kickbutt moments. I love every second of it. I laughed so much, snorted during my lunch break, cried when there were breakthroughs, when Willa got to really meet her family and when the guys and Willa finally admitted their love for each other.
This series would be amazing as a tv show or movies, it has everything someone could want in a story. I was not disappointed in this series at all. I am sad its over but so happy I have them all in audio so I can escape to Topia anytime I want. Highly recommend this series, from the bottom of my heart
This is an amazing series that you easily get sucked into! The only thing some people may have issues with is that although she had multiple partners, I wouldn’t classify it as a RH. There is little to no sex until the 3rd book…I think(it’s been awhile since I’ve read the earlier books because they are spaced years apart). It’s a great read though, but like I said, if you’re the type who needs lots of steamy scenes, this won’t satisfy.
Willa Knight. Dweller turned God. Sacred and Mighty Willa the Naked. Sister to Emmy, bonded to the Abcurse brothers. She has fought to survive her entire life. Cursed, blessed, challenged. Now she fights for everyone in Topia and Minatsol; Dwellers, Sols, and Gods alike. Can she, her Abcurses, and their friends balance the worlds or will she end up destroying everything?
Pain Is Perfect! This book is equal parts action and intrigue, danger and suspense, love and sexy times with a heavy dose of Willa’s particular brand of hilarity thrown in. The Curse of the Gods is without a doubt one of the most entertaining RH’s ever written. Willa is the most unusual heroine to gather a harem in the genre. Beautiful, intelligent, brave, loving, kind, thoughtful, and resourceful. She’s also incredibly clumsy with a propensity for creating chaos, starting fires, and losing her clothing. She is fresh, original, lovable. Her influence on the Abcurses cannot be denied. As gods, they are physical perfection and each embodies their god qualities ideally. But Willa changed them into perfect loves. She opened their eyes to the world. They now have a sense of fun that isn’t cruel. They are caring and protective and will do anything to make Willa happy. Their love for Willa managed to make them impossibly more perfect.
The story itself does not disappoint. The final showdown is so well thought out, so detailed, so complex, and involves so many. I loved it. Willa, Emmy, Cyrus, and the Abcurses have come so far.
Jane Washington and Jaymin Eve are brilliant. Their storytelling is colorful, vivid, and amusing. The JJ’s have created such fantastic characters, such a magnificent world, and such a strong storyline with this series. It’s been a whimsically epic adventure with Willa and her men. I have loved every second of it and I’m sad to see it wrap up but that’s what re-reads are for. I know that Willa in all of her naked glory will continue to be one of my favorites.
Buckets of tears!!! Both for overflowing happiness, but also for just the end of such a memorably beautiful and witty series!! All the things were in here!! The loose ends were presented wrapped up with blindingly beautiful bows! Willa has such an enormous heart and her dedication between her and her gods is only part of the story. There is betrayal, death, love, life, creation and destruction. So many moments of bliss and joy went hand in hand with uncertainty and ever changing circumstances. I loved the family that Willa built around herself They were not all blood related…. but their heartstrings were interwoven. Both Jane Washington and Jaymin Eve are phenomenally talented authors! Their writing evokes all the feelings a reader loves to experience on the journeys that they take us upon. The writing is so much more than just an adventure, they truly are journeys that forever stay locked within our memories and our hearts as we fall more and more in love. I’m so very sad to see this journey come to a close!! It’s been one exciting and addicting escapade
This series was everything!! This final book wrapped things up nicely though it went by way too fast. Before I knew it I was 75% through the book. It was just that good. The world-building was always phenomenal, though a bit too wordy in this one, but not a dealbreaker.
I liked getting to see confident Willa and all of the Abcurses letting her be more independent and in charge… well as much as Yael can relinquish control lol. Willa totally rocked being a God. She was a tad less like the Willa we all loved, but I guess she had to grow up and all of them are just so great together and finally no holding back. The final showdown was too anti-climactic, not what I wanted or expected, the epilogue had me feeling emotional, so I’ll overlook it. 🙂
So sad to see the end, but I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
Perfect ending to the series. Some things I saw coming, some I didn’t. Overall this story is filled with the characters we have come to love and their journey to happiness.
I absolutely love Willa and her Abcurses. This book is the perfect ending to the Curse of the Gods series. Everything was pulled together so well and all questions answered in this final book. This series is most definitely one of the top series on my reread list. The whole series has the sassy clumsy Willa trying to stumble her way through life in her own way. Action, adventure, love, drama, betrayal and war and so much more, all you could ever want in a thoroughly entertaining and attention grabbing series. I recommend it any chance I get.
I can’t believe it’s over but what a wonderful ending!!! This was funny, inspiring and hot! Wills is the best. This book kept me turning the page not knowing exactly where the twist would come.
There will only be one Willa for me….for now and forever.
This was an epic conclusion to a phenomenal series. I’ve laughed, cried, screamed and fell in love with this series. I’m so sad to see it go. I love these authors. They are great together, the partnership works and the words are flawless. I will forever be reading this series. I’m so sad to see my Abcurses go….I hope to see more great work from Jane Washington and Jaymin Eve. Separately they are great authors but together they create something truly special. If they ever feel like tossing us a few teasers, I will never turn them down.
Overall: 5/5
Fabulous job to an ending of a fabulous series. The adventures of Willa and her five Abcurses men have been truly entertaining and full of action, humor, emotions, and heart. In this last book I felt it showed how much Willa had grown from book one and how much of a Goddess she truly is. This book had all the feels and I loved the ending. It was perfect. So much occurs as the final fight with Staviti occurs. And there were some pleasant surprises as well through out the book. I really enjoyed this serious by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington. Sad to see it end.
love love LOVE this series!!! like, I’m obsessed! lol I’m so sad to see it end, but let’s be real. I’m going to read and reread it over and over, so it’ll never TRULY end, haha!
Do yourselves a HUGE favor and just start reading these books right freaking now!!! <3
OH.MY.GODS.DWELLERS.AND.SOL!
The author wrapped up The Curse of the Gods perfectly! It was a very satisfying end to an amazing journey. I cried like a baby at the ending.
I have reread the books many time and it will definitely be a series that I’ll return to as comfort reading many times more.
I highly recommend this series. It’ll have you laughing out loud, biting your nails anguishly and fanning yourself desperately at other times.
A great ending to a fabulous saga! I think the reason why I liked Willa so much from the start, was that she was just a regular girl with family problems and she wasn’t fitting in the mold that was made for her. She just lived her life one fall here, a fire there, a little bit of naked in the mix and with her sister Emmy to the rescue, until She met the Abcurses. Ah the Abcurses! I won’t spoil the story for you but what do you think Willa did with five strong, sexy, handsome, sarcastic, Alpha male brothers?
If you want to know more, you have to read this incredible story about a common girl (or not so much) in this magical world that had a lot of problems but never gave up.
Wow what an ending!! Everything came together in the end in this book. My questions were answered. I enjoyed this book. Willa and her Abcurses, they are so great together! Willa really grew herself in this book, getting her power under control and finding out who she really is. Great read!!
Pain by Jane Washington and Jaymin Eve a five-star read that you will hurt reading in the best way possible. This is the fifth and final novel in the Curse of the Gods series and be warned it may break you. I a writing my review when I am only 85% through as I know if I don’t it will take me days to write it, this happened the same with Summoned to the thirteenth grave, another final read of the series that blew me away and took me days to write as I kept crying, this has the same power. I have long been a fan of both authors and found this series to be some of their best writing and this one is possibly the best book yet. Willa what can I say about you other than you and the Abcurses have found your way into my heart. What I would give to snuggle on that massive bed and pick your brains, not other parts before you make me blush, just your brains as I can only imagine what else is lurking in there. Thank you both for bringing some amazing characters to my life.
