Pagan-Fighting. F@cking. F@cking things up. That was my life. That was how I got out of the world I had been raised in. And it was how I intended to keep living my life. That was, of course, until I came across her. The game changer. Kennedy-Hard work. That was pretty much all you could say my life consisted of. It was what got me out of a rough childhood. It was what made me get my first taste … was what made me get my first taste of success. Before things went to hell, that is. But it was what was going to get me back on my feet too. So I didn’t need any distractions. Certainly not one that came covered in scars, blood, leather, and in a cloud of cigarette smoke.
Yet, there he was.
And I was thinking maybe a distraction wouldn’t be that bad, right?

Gah! I freaking love this book!! Pagan was a different breed of man and it was exhilarating to read about him! I loved the awkward beginning of Pagan and Kennedy. Neither of them knew how far they were going to go. Pagans past was very different than what I was expecting and once again I freaking LOVE the Girls Club! Jessica Gadziala is an amazing writer! She sucks you into her books from the very beginning and makes you want more and more! Other characters you absolutely need books for! I’ve loved the reading list so far and so glad I found it. It’s the best way to read these books. If you want to start the list go to her website jessicagadziala.com! I highly recommend it!
Kennedy is a “good girl.” She’s struggled and saved to be able to start her own business. She treats her employees the way that employees should be treated even if it means big changes and costs for her. She doesn’t do casual, no strings attached sex.
Pagan is a cage fighting, gun running, MC member who couldn’t be more opposite. He doesn’t do relationships or commitment. He doesn’t do overnight sleepovers.
When they meet, they both start to wonder if maybe they could try the other’s way just this once and just for awhile.
5 Niro Stars
First of can I just say this cover – Amazing! I love it. I had one hell of a book hangover the day after reading this. not my first from Jessica’s books but definitely the first in a long while. I ate this book up in one sitting and I just couldn’t put it down. Pagan was insanely hot and his story was so unexpected but brilliant. Kennedy was a kick ass leading lady which I absolutely love. Yes this book was everything I needed it to be and I may now have a new favourite Henchmen – Sorry Duke!
I loved hearing all about the new pups coming into the Henchmen world and of course like always its great to have some old names pop up as well.
Pagan is one of my favourite books by Jessica Gadziala. He absolutely does not put up with any b.s. and when he meets Kennedy he knows he’ll do whatever he has to do to have her.
Pagan has an absolutely phenomenal character, louder than Edison, but just as deadly. When Kennedy’s landlord tries to push Kennedy into a situation she didn’t ask for, Pagan’s more than ready to take care of that as well.
Could not wait for Pagans story. It was worth the wait. He has a bloody presence in the ring is a hard thing for most people to stomach.
Kennedy fights for things in a different way. With less blood.
Pagan shows Kennedy that there is more to life than work. Great read!!!
Jessica Gadziala has outdone herself yet again!! A five bloody star read!! I cannot find my words to give this book a proper review at the moment. Please excuse me while I nurse this book hangover.
Now that I’ve recovered from my initial read and re-read this book 2 more times since it’s release..this book The Henchmen Series it gets you right in all the feels! The book world that Jessica Gadziala has created is just simply amazing! Everything is intertwined so beautifully and just when you start to panic that the series might be over she throws in some new characters; which I CANNOT wait to read! Each book keeps getting better and better & the ended ugh the ending with the newest big bad coming to town; I’ll be patiently (just kidding) impatiently waiting for the next book from this amazing author!
Hot love story between a rough around the edges fighter and sweet hairdresser who refuses to let life get the best of her.
Going into these stories about the probies we don’t know a whole lot about their backgrounds. We’ve been given just enough info in a previous book to be intrigued by them and look forward to getting to know their past and what made them into the men they are today. Pagan was definitely one of those. All we knew was he was one of the main fighters for Ross Ward and had joined the Henchman as a probie. He’s a chain smoking, tough as nails alpha who lives for a fight. Never saw himself in a relationship or even wanting a woman past a one night stand, that is until he comes across Kennedy and for reasons unknown to him at the time attracts his attention.
Kennedy has struggled her whole life and even with the knocks life has given her she still believes that at some point the tides have to turn in her favor. She owns her own small salon and has hopes of being able to expand in the future. When she meets Pagan she doesnt know what to think of the foul mouthed biker who skirts on the wrong side of the law but she too finds herself attracted.
Even though this is part of the Henchmen MC series the last two books, which are the stories about the probies, changed pace from the earlier books and focus more on the couples. I do miss the excitement and craziness of the earlier books but one thing that never changes is a hot love story. As with most of the couples Jessica writes, they dont look like a match when the book starts but before your done you realize they are perfect for each other.
