I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.
My twin brother is the definition of a lost soul. And it bothers me, sure… but I didn’t even know he was out of jail until a steamy older bounty hunter showed up at my workplace, looking for him.
And tackled me to the ground in his place.
Now I’m out of a job and gunning for my brother, and there’s only one person I know who can help me find him – the … help me find him – the bounty hunter who got me in this situation to start with.
They say that the enemy of your enemy is your friend, but I’m not sure that teaming up with Neo feels all that friendly. He’s my opposite in every way – I’m younger, he’s older; I’m loud, and he’s the strong, silent type. I’m omega… and he’s all alpha.
The more I get to know Neo, the less I want to be his enemy. But we’re only together for one purpose: to catch my brother.
Right?

Terrific second book. Neo surprised me. I was expecting the cocky, self sure guy from the first book. He was actually thoughtful and gentle with Tucker. Tucker’s vacillation on turning his brother in felt genuine. I loved that he jumps in to help Cass at every opportunity. I’m hoping his brother finds some redemption.
Audiobook: The narrator did a great job but the audio quality had some occasional issues. Obviously it is the production company, not the narrator nor the author.
This enemies to lovers romance between Neo and Tucker was fast paced and sweet. While the two men didn’t have the best meet cute with Neo wrongly identifying Tucker as his twin and trying to arrest him, they eventually got their stuff straightened out to find love with each other. Two of the four alpha’s down and in love, now I can’t wait to see how Jones and JP take the fall!
Packing Heat is the second book in the Knitting Club series by author Austin Bates. This book was okay. Not my favorite. But it is good. This book is written in dual POV. That POV works well for this story. This is the second book in a series but can be read as a standalone novel.
Tucker: he loves the smell of coffee in the morning. He is working on his master’s in social policy. He is an Omega. His twin Martin is an Alpha and always in trouble with the law. This plays heavily into this storyline.
Neo: he is after Martin. That is how he meets Tucker. I should say shoves him up against a wall and costs him his job. He is a bounty hunter. He has a heart of gold though. He makes up for all he does.
The chemistry between Neo and Tucker is okay. Tucker has a lot to go through before he is ready for Neo. Neo needed more development for me. He is partly there character-wise but he needed more.
I am looking forward to more Knitting Club books in the future. I will be keeping my eye on this series.
Four Twinkling Stars
This series is really good and the characters are so real and complex. I love the dual point of view. We met Neo in the first book. He’s a friend of Blaze and Logan and a bounty hunter. Tucker is a graduate student working at a coffee shop. Tucker is an omega and a twin. His brother, Martin, is an alpha and a drug addicted abuser. Martin beat his omega and was arrested, skipped bail and now he’s on Neo’s radar. Tucker and Neo meet and it is not pretty. I loved this book and am looking forward to book three, Taking the Heat. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Tucker is pushed up against the wall by a bounty hunter looking for his twin brother.
While working his shift at the Dream Bean Tucker is grabbed and pushed up against the wall by a bounty hunter who mistakes him for his alpha twin brother Martin. when Neo realizes that he is holding an omega he quickly steps back but the angry omega is in no mood to listen to his apologies he leaves. Shocked and angry Tucker may have been but he was aware of an attraction to the handsome Alpha but then his boss fires him and the anger takes over. Neo is unable to forget the omega’ scent and when he encounters him again tries to apologize again.

Neo is a bounty hunter alpha mistakes Tucker for his no good twin brother Martin and takes the innocent Tucker into custody. After figuring out his mistake Neo tries to get Tucker to forgive him. Tucker can’t resist the older sexy alpha and they end up teaming up together to catch Tucker’s brother.
This was a good story with great characters. I definitely recommend this book!
I really enjoyed this book by this new to me author! Tucker and Neo met in the most unique way. Tucker is attacked by Neo who is a bounty hunter, mistaking him for Tucker’s twin brother. Neo is super embarrassed and wants to make the wrong right. Tucker is super annoyed with Neo but reluctantly agrees to help him out. The more time they spend together the more that they start to like each other and feelings develop between the two. The last thing either one of them expected was to find their mate. This story is full of action, twists and turns, steamy good times, light hearted moments…I really enjoyed myself reading their story. Its a great story and one that I would recommend, well done!!!
This book is as amazing as the first in the series. It’s intense and action packed. Tucker, an omega, and Neo, an alpha and a bounty hunter, didn’t have the conventional meet cute but more the mistaken identity ‘I’m going to take you down’ meet. Yet somehow in their attempts to capture Tucker’s twin brother, by pretending to be in a relationship together, they ended up wanting to be in a relationship together.
I can’t wait for the next book as we continue to learn more about these wonderful characters. I would love to see more about Cass. He definitely needs a happy ending.
I highly recommend this book and series.

a hot Omega finds himself pursued in all the wrong ways for the crimes of his twin brother
while the bounty hunter who came after him is HOT, he cost him his job
But could Fate have a hand in?
Or will the bounty hunter, the Omega and his twin shatter any awesome future the bounty hunter and the wrong twin might have?
It might just be that he found the twin he needed to find after all
Steamy m/m romance
