What happens when temporary becomes forever?Oz Gallagher does not do relationships well. Bored and jobless after another disastrous hook up, he decides to leave London for a temporary job in the wilds of Cornwall. Surely managing a stately home on a country estate will be easier than navigating the detritus of his relationships at home. Six months there will alleviate a bit of his wanderlust and … wanderlust and then he can come back to London as footloose and fancy free as the day he left it.
However, when he gets there he finds a house in danger of crumbling to the ground and a man who is completely unlike anyone he’s ever met. An earl belonging to a family whose roots go back hundreds of years, Silas is the living embodiment of duty and sacrifice. Two things that Oz has never wanted. He’s also warm and funny and he draws Oz to him like a magnet.
Oz banks on the fact that they’re from two very different worlds to stop himself falling for Silas. But what will he do when he realises that these differences are actually part of the pull to one another? Will falling in love be enough to make him stop moving at last and realise that he’s finally home?
From bestselling author, Lily Morton, comes a romantic comedy about two very different men and one very dilapidated house.
This is the first book in the Finding Home series but it can be read as a standalone.

I read my way through this series recently. It had been on my TBR for a long time, and man, I wish I’d gotten to it sooner.Oz was fantastic. Funny with wonderful British snark, sweet, romantic, all the feels, and great characters. I devoured the next two books in this series right after this one, haha. Highly recommended.

Love Oz!
Where has Oz been all my life?!? Why did it take me so long to listen to this book?!? Ugh, Oz is my new favorite character, I adore him. And Silas isn’t so bad himself.
This book was so fun, so sweet, so everything I needed. I laughed out loud so many times. And then that epilogue, guh- that’s the kind of epilogue I love. It made me cry, I loved it so much.
Joel’s narration was perfection, as usual. I loved all the accents and personalities, he’s just so good. This will be a repeat listen for sure!
I’ve read all of Lily’s books in the past week and now I have a book hangover while I impatiently wait for the next one!
This is a laugh-out-loud book full of good feelings, sexy times, and complicated emotions.
The snark is real with this one! I couldn’t put it down and immediately went on to the next in series. I enthusiastically recommend this one, especially if you like books set in England with British humor.
I love everything Lily writes, and Oz nearly dethroned Dylan and Gabe from her first series. This book is hilarious, with great characters and an immersive setting. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want to leave them behind when I finished.
Lily Morton has quickly become a must for me. I have not been disappointed and I look forward to reading each and every book. I also love Joel Leslie and his narrations are just perfect. In this one, you have Oz and Silas. Silas is Henry’s brother so we get to check in with him and Ivo which is just a wonderful nugget and surprise. This is a start to a wonderful series. Silas is strong, sweet and falls desperately in love with Oz. Oz is feisty, outspoken and does not fall as swifty in love with Silas, but it is exactly right. This is a low angst, sweet and hilarious at times read. Definitely pick this one up. I cannot wait to continue it. The epilogue is one of my favorites as well. Milo was one of my favorite side characters, and his is up next, so I will be picking it up very soon!
Lily Morton is the absolute Queen of British Comedic Romance. Her writing is like having a giggle with a trusted friend who knows all your in jokes and I just adore her style and ability to include the reader in the inner circle of the characters.
Oz bring all that and more – the almost eccentric behaviour, unapologetic and excessive personality is written so perfectly that it’s a pure wonder to experience. Seeing the love blossom between these characters is beautiful and the journey to their HEA is a fun and memorable experience.
Everyone should read these books – they are just so much fun and such brilliant characters!
To add a whole other layer – everyone should listen to the extraordinary audio performed by Joel Leslie. The way he brings not only the characters to life, but the situations and comedy is beyond belief. I will definitely be revisiting these audios again and again, like returning a warm hug!
This book blew my mind. It’s so much more than just a romance. It’s beautiful and tender yet hilarious.
I laughed and I laughed. Oz is absolutely crazy in the best kind of way. The job interview might be one of my all time favorite scenes. I couldn’t stop laughing.
And Silas. Oh my, Silas. It took me such a long time realizing that he’s the Silas. Henry’s brother from Risk Taker. I have been wanting his book for such a long time and here it was, right under my nose all this time. Silas might just be my favorite character, ever. The way he treated Oz, patiently waiting for Oz to realize that they were meant for each other. Silas longing for love was palpable. And when he finally got it, it was breathtaking.
And then, then there was the epilogue. I should’ve been prepared for it. I really should’ve. But I wasn’t. Not at all. It was perfect. It made me into a happy, crying mess.
I guess this is me swooning, not reviewing but I can’t help it. I’m going to think about this book for a very long time.
Bloody hilarious, seriously you need to listen to this audio of Oz. I laughed out loud whilst wearing headphones a few times, now they want to commit me.

Oz’s character is brilliantly written and so is Silas but in different ways. Oz is a lovable Irish snarky floozie, couldn’t think of a PC word for a guy who slept with his bosses.. But really if your reading these books, why am i searching for PC words.
Silas is an earl with property in Cornwall, where Oz ends up as a building manager, the interview had me laughing so loud, making me wish i could have an interview to act just like him.
The story is great, wicked mother in laws, HEA, great sex, a typical Lily Morton book with great humour, snark and love. A must read/ listen to.
Joel Leslie did a perfect job of reading this, very easy to listen to, plus I turned down the speed to 1.05, normally I listen to most narrators 1.15 to 1.25.

Heat Level: 4
Narration: 5 (OMG, Joel is just awesome!)
This is truly a Rom-Com at its best!
OMG, I love Oz (and Silas)! Lily’s wit and humor had me bursting with laughter. Oz’s razor-sharp tongue is fantastic and Joel’s narration elevates the book to new heights.
A fast-paced, quick-witted story with a totally lovable “Lord” turned vet, with a giant heart, ready for love, and a slightly jaded, pocket-sized Irishman with sass, snark, and passion just waiting to be unleashed. From the opening sentence, I was snorting with laughed and completely hooked on Oz’s big personality. I loved watching him bomb an interview, shove a Lord (& his new boss) in the closet, take on an insurmountable renovation task, and sass anyone who got it his way, all while trying not to fall for his new boss! These two men will captivate you and have you laughing from the word go.
Be prepared for love, lust, sass, and humor, all compacted into the pocket rocket that is Oz!
If you’re looking for a laugh and a hug (& a good bit of steam too) then this is the perfect book! I loved it so much and can’t recommend it enough
P.S. also get ready for awesome cameos from Lily’s Mixed Messages, Book 3
I had a lovely time reading this book!! I could not wait to get home from work to keep on reading. The MCs and the side characters, both human and furry, were so lovable and fun, and the author kept the plot engaging without undue drama. The setting had a wonderful feeling to it, too (kudos to the author for having the skills to evoke such an atmosphere), and now I really want to visit Cornwall. I could have done without the dust up with the Mother at the end, mostly because I felt Oz acted out of character in these scenes (the author did provide an explanation for why, but it still felt off to me); however, this is a VERY minor and personal gripe. I also wish that some things that happened off page were done on page, but that’s just because I’m greedy for more of these MCs. What I will ultimately remember is that I laughed and loved spending time with these characters, especially Silas.
Oz was fun, filled with love and affection and I liked it very much.
There is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of good dialogues in addition to some fun dialogues.
I felt the chemistry between Oz and Silas was sizzling from the first moment and builds up from there to a loving and affectionate relationship.
I liked the secondary characters and was intrigued with their story.
Narrator
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings?
I also liked the English accent, that made it even more enjoyable
5 stars for an overall great story!
This is my first Lily Morton’s book and I was pleasantly surprised. It was so nice reading a book with so many wonderful characters not only Silas and Oz, but almost everyone that participated in the story got the importance they deserved. When you added the descriptions, the dialogues full of life and emotions, and how the author managed the interactions and situations, you got this incredible story. Easy to read and low angst, however it made me cried a little and enjoyed a lot. I can’t wait to read more books on this series.
In a single moment, Oz loses his boyfriend and job when he catches his boyfriend/boss cheating on him. For anyone else, this might be a crushing blow that sends them spiraling, but for Oz, he merely brushes it off and moves on. With irreverent humor, and a lot of charm and charisma, Oz applies, interviews, and is hired as the House Manager for an aristocratic country estate. Silas is the newly single Earl who owns the country estate, and whom Oz knows he shouldn’t crush on – after all it doesn’t work out well for Oz when he dates his boss. But what power does reason have when the heart is involved? Despite their attempts to stay professional, Oz and Silas have a chemistry that sparks and sizzles. There’s no stopping their chemical reaction.
I absolutely loved this book. Oz is one of the most delightful and enjoyable characters I’ve had the pleasure of reading in while. He’s funny, charming, with a clever wit and a biting tongue. And Silas! He’s just as enjoyable and wonderful as Oz – loyal, strong, and just as fun as Oz. The two of them together made me laugh out loud. Plus their relationship was beautiful and romantic, with some incredibly steamy moments that had me swooning. Lily Morton is an extremely talented writer – the prose flowed smoothly and the dialogue was crisp and natural.
I listened the audiobook which was performed by Joel Leslie, one of my favorite narrators. Joel Leslie did a fantastic job with his performance in this book. First, his accents were on point (and so sexy), and, despite me being an American, I had absolutely no problem understanding him. He brought this book to life and I could hardly put it down and ended up finishing it in one day. I started in the morning and only reluctantly paused the audio when I absolutely had to. I already know this audiobook is going in my re-listen to pile. It’s definitely in my favorites list.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a romantic comedy that makes their heart swoon and melt.
Lily Morton, you had me at Ozzy being named after Ozzy Osbourne.
I read and loved the Mixed Messages series and have been waiting with bated breath for Silas’ story since I read the last sentence of Henry and Ivo’s tale in Risk Taker. Oz was worth every minute of the wait.
I’m head-over-heels in love with both Silas and Oz, and now I want very much to visit Cornwall, which feels almost as much a character in the story as any of the people who populate it. I read this book slowly, savoring the words and scenes, holding them close like a fuzzy blanket on a cold night.
Oz features Lily’s trademark sharp wit, but unlike the Mixed Messages books, Oz has a softer edge to the humor. There are still moments that could cause snorting of any liquids being imbibed at the time of reading, though. While there is some angst, it is much less intense than in any of Lily’s previous MM novels (I haven’t read the MF ones yet) but I still shed a few tears in sympathy with the characters. Still, this book is more of a sexy shimmering summer romance, smelling of lavender and sounding like the sea.
Oz is, in my opinion, Lily’s best book yet. I’ve got a book hangover now and I couldn’t be happier.
Silas and Oz are two improbably perfect men… for each other. They fit together, supplying their lover with the needs they’ve had for years. Friends first. Inseparable later. A romance that will fill your heart with joy.
This was the first book I read by Lily Morton. I loved it so much I quickly set out to devour everything else I could find.
It’s light-hearted and funny, with a well-built relationship. It’s also set in a castle. Basically.
She also sets up the characters for the sequels in such a way you’re already a little invested in them. And if you’ve read previous books, you’ll see some old friends.
Oz and Silas are wonderful characters. Silas insistence that Oz be himself is priceless.
Wonderful characters and witty dialogue are what I look forward to with every Lily Morton book and Oz does not disappoint. Pour yourself a cup of tea and settle in and take a walk in the English countryside with Oz, Silas, along with their friends, family, and one very loyal dog.
