She thought this was a game. She thought she could walk away. She thought wrong.
I’ve lived a cold, unforgiving life. I’ve seen things, I’ve done things, that would break a man. If they didn’t kill him first. With my past behind me, I have nothing. No way to atone for my sins and nothing to lift me from the depths of despair I’ve come from. And no one to give me the control that I so desperately … control that I so desperately desire.
But as soon as I saw Lilly walk through the halls of Club X, something inside my cold heart flickered. With her large, blue eyes, and her seductive curves, I wanted her. Lilly, my flower. There’s a sweet innocence about her that steals the breath from my lungs. She brings my darkness to the surface, and what’s more… she craves it just as much as I do.
The danger is what lured her to me. But she didn’t realize how intense this would be when she signed that contract.
She thought it was all fantasy and make-believe. But I’m not a knight in shining armor. I’m not a hero from a romance novel. I’m the villain.
And now she wants to leave?
I won’t allow it.
I own her. And I’m not letting her go.
*Owned is a full-length standalone DARK romance with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger.

Another great book in this series! I liked the way Joseph was willing to compromise to make sure Lily was comfortable. He was a lot nicer than the other books let on. And I really related to the way he communicated through writing. I was glad that he was so open with her, even if it was difficult for him to voice things. And I liked Lily’s curiosity. For once, the heroine’s interests didn’t derive from some sort of trauma. She’s just a bookworm who, like me, hates cliffhangers.
This book is edgy, and sexy and all the things a good dark romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!

When I first started reading, for some reason I thought Joseph was one of the security guys that worked in Club X, but as I started reading more I realised that it was the man who tried to buy Isaac’s slave in the previous book. I was definitely intrigued as I wasn’t quite sure the direction this would go But suffice to say it was enjoyable story and I liked that Lilly wasn’t a wussy in the sense that she could kick butt and take names if she has to…in other words some backbone
I’m looking forward to Zander’s story last as he’s the most mysterious character in this series and I want to know more. I received an advanced copy in the form of the Highest Bidder Collection which I voluntarily leave my honest review
Book Three: Lilly & Joseph
*self-purchased on Amazon. No need of sugar daddies called promo teams*
What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Joseph is somewhat of a regular at Club X and when Lilly steps in, she piques his interest. When Lilly signs her contract, it seems to be all fun and games. Soon, Joseph makes her realize that he doesn’t play games. M/s.
I was excited to read book three. I LOVE THE AUTHORS. This is just my honest opinion for book three. I feel bad for having to write this.
Joseph was an enigmatic figure in the first two books and I thought he was going to be my favorite out of the four. Unfortunately, the reality after I’ve read the book is a little different. The premise of Lilly was cute. I empathized with her and I related to her. So far, she was the most relatable leading lady for me IN THE FIRST 30-40% and then it went downhill. It felt like she wanted to play in the big game, but she was still wearing her little girl pants. Man up. Seriously. It wasn’t cute to read her naïvely secretive ways. I had a problem with her keeping that ONE secret. When Dahlia kept her secret, I UNDERSTOOD THAT. But Lilly’s secret was SILLY. Her job seemed like her sick grandma. What I mean: you know the books where a girl is a hooker and SWOOSH, here comes the sick grandma that JUSTIFIES why the heroine is a hooker. Here, the job was basically there to provide us with an emotional connection to the leading girl. I totally missed out on that. To me, every time the job story line was mentioned, it just reminded me of how much this leading girl failed at her job. Yeah, this is supposed to be a dark read and in dark reads not everything has a happy ending but still. The build up to the job story line’s ending and the actual ending were weak to me.
So. About Joseph. Whilst I don’t mind the whole idea of not paying for a girl, I felt like his first strike was being cheap. Dude. You’re in a HIGHEST BIDDER novel. Bid high. DUH. Then, he turned out to be the most annoying out of the three. Least equipped to deal with what he buys, seemingly unprofessional. I don’t know. I wanted to like Joseph, but he just made mistake after mistake and although I was pissed at Lilly, when she was annoyed about Joseph, I totally agreed with her.
Since this isn’t an arc, I can comment on the editing. I read the Highest Bidder collection on KU. IT WAS ATROCIOUS. Commas were all over the place or nowhere if I’m being precise. I remember lots of typos everywhere. I don’t know what happened to this book. At some point, I started to care more about the commas etc than I did about the characters.
Sadly, this book didn’t live up to what book one and two created. I continued the series with fourth and final book with Arianna & Zander’s story.
OMG Joseph was super hot and sexy, on the same time soft and innocent Lilly. Since this was the third book in the Club X series and absolutely loved it. This book definitely owned me from page one and as turned page after page I was on the edge of my seat with the twists and turns that were in the story. I definitely recommend it all. And definitely worth 5***** Thank you Willow & Lauren for another hot and steamy story.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The plot is very intense and has a few twists and turns to keep you intrigued. The story is well written and fast paced. I recommend this book to anyone.
Arc review For honest review. Lily is a teacher and a writer she goes to club x for research and her own fantasy. She meets Joseph Levi who left the femilia madam Lynn calls him to tell him when she’s there. Wow what a great story.
Thought it was great if you like bad boys books
