Bookshop owner, Georgie Jensen, is done with shallow jerks. Her Own the Eights blog dishes out advice on how to steer clear of egotistical creeps only concerned with looks and status. Her focus is finding one’s true soulmate—not the superficial ten but the solid, reliable eight.Jordan Marks is the city’s top fitness trainer who won’t settle for anything less than the best. His blog promotes … than the best. His blog promotes working hard, playing harder, and striving to always be—you guessed it—a ten.
When these two opposites are forced to team-up for an online competition, opinions clash and mouse pads fly.
The twist: there can only be one winner, and if Georgie wants to keep her shop open, that winner needs to be her.
But the more time this eight and this ten spend together, the more they learn that, when it comes to love, a number might not be what matters the most.
Own the Eights is a steamy rom-com full of heart, heat, and oodles of laugh out loud moments!

Prepare to laugh, like hold-your-belly-and-spew-your-drink laugh, and have your heartstrings manipulated as if they’re in the hands of a harpist virtuoso. I’ve been lucky enough to find several authors to trust with my romantic heart, and this is one who never fails to deliver. I can 1-Click her books with confidence, knowing that that my reading experience will be a wonderful, euphoric ride.
When a superficial, spoiled little rich boy who Georgiana Jensen thought liked her told Georgie she was an eight, at best, it was a wake-up call. It spurred the indie bookstore owner to start a blog, Own the Eights, that has helped numerous readers focus on the attributes that really matter in finding a soulmate. Now the wildly popular CityBeat website wants Georgie in their contest to find a new paid contributor. Georgie is up against the perfectly plastic lifestyle blogger twins, Danny and Danielle, and Mr. Ten Fitness Trainer himself, of Mark’s Perfect Ten Mindset blog, Jordan Marks. What’s an eight to do against all that perfection? Well, Georgie owns her eight-ness, of course.
Georgie is a complicated lady. Sure, she’s kind and intelligent, and happy with her bookstore and blog, but there’s so much more to her than seen at first glance. Her mother is a piece of work, with a capital W, and her inner dialog is channeled through three admirable fictional heroines, likely a product of her late father’s love of books which he passed on to her. But if she can win this contest, she’ll be able to pay her bills and expand her bookstore.
Jordan is a ‘roid infused version of complicated. Through the help of his mentor and idol, he’s come a long way, making himself into a perfect ten in every aspect of his life, but his past insecurities are always lurking around the corner. If he wins this contest (which he WILL win, because a ten never loses), he can open his own fitness gym, but he has to figure out how to work together with Georgie in the meantime.
I adore these two characters! Every minute of their journey is heartfelt and hysterical with a nice dose of steam added in. Their push and pull is delicious and put my emotions through the wringer. They’re both so much more than they seem, and I loved watching them become better versions of themselves. The secondary characters are quirky and colorful, and I can’t wait for the chance to return to this book world. In a sea of decent and okay romance novels, this one is easily more than any number, so don’t pass up the chance to fall in love with the endlessly endearing and oh-so memorable Georgie and Jordan!
4.5 Stars for Own the Eights
Krista Sandor is a new author to me and after reading Own the Eights I’m struggling to understand why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now, well that’s about to change because I need to read the rest of the books in this very funny series. If you are looking for a book to escape with and that makes you laugh look no further than this fun, enemies to lovers, extremely hot romance.
All her life people have told Georgie she is only an eight so she decides why fight it, why not embrace it and she starts her own blog to show eights are perfect, Jordan on the other hand is a ten and he believes we can all be ten’s if we work at it. What follows is a competition where they are forced to work together so can an eight and a ten work together…. guess you need to read the book to find that out. This book ticked all my boxes, I loved the characters, I loved the story, I laughed and I smiled a lot, the chemistry sizzling and I fell hard and fast for the big hearted quirky woman and the swoon worthy hero so I urge you all to one click this gem.
I was completely enthralled by this witty, tender and oh so sensuous story of two bloggers – Georgie and Jordan who start off on the wrong foot only to find they need to work as a team to win a coveted contest.
I really got into this story not only because the characters were clever and vibrant, but because the encounters between them were written with the kind of romance that makes you catch your breath. Combine that with some kindle melting lascivious moments and you have one great story to invest your time.

This was such a cute and fun read that I didn’t want it to end but I loved every second of it. Georgie was a cute and quirky bookstore owner that had been hurt in the past by a guy that was an utter jerk to her. This guy told her she was an eight out of a ten and he needed someone that was a ten to be his eye candy and that just wasn’t her. This hurts her like it would anyone else but instead of feeling down and letting this define her she starts a blog that helps people look past superficial things and look deeper to find their eight. Jordan was hilarious, he is this attractive man who is an avid trainer wanting to help people reach their best potential, he is what one would call an perfect ten, but instead acting like a typical guy would that is a perfect ten he is actually a good guy but he sees that everyone has the potential to be tens. These two are thrown together in a competition where they would both benefit from winning so they are constantly at each other’s throats until they start to wok together and learn more about each other. I loved their constant banter, the funny moments they had together (goat yoga), and when they shop fighting their attraction to each other sparks fly and you realize they are meant for each other. Jordan and Georgie made me laugh and opened my eyes to see how much we as a society judge others so harshly by looks alone and that we should stop and see there is always more than what meets the eye.
I loved the banter between Georgie and Jordan! The story is amusing, steamy and also manages to be sweet and adorable.
Predictable.
It was a cute story and a fun read!
This is the first book in a new series and is Georgie and Jordan’s story. Georgie is a bookstore owner who runs a blog advising to avoid egotistical jerks, and Jordan is a top fitness instructor who also runs a blog about working hard, playing harder, and always striving to become the perfect 10. These two are total opposites, and butt heads constantly, yet they had to team up for an online competition, which there can only be one winner, and they are both equally determined to be the winner. This is a well written fun, entertaining, humorous, and steamy read, which I recommend for all readers.
4.5 Star review of Own The Eights (Own The Eights #1) by Krista Sandor
Krista Sandor is a relatively new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why that is. From start to finish I was riveted with the story she wove about Georgie Jensen and Jordan Mark. This book ticked all the boxes for me and I was disappointed when the story ended.
Own The Eights is a great example of a romantic comedy. It had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions and my grandchildren thought I was crazy. Georgie and Jordan are opposites and when they are forced to team up for an online competition, sparks will fly.
I loved these two together, they are fun, intense and the chemistry which sizzles between them is strong. The writing was excellent and the characters so engaging that you cannot help but fall for them. Looking forward to reading more in the series as soon as possibly.
I loved this one! I had to pace myself because I wanted to devour the whole book in one sitting. It was cleverly written, had two wonderfully imperfect MCs, and was full of delicious tension. Own the Eights has a lot of heart and a lovely HEA.
Simply adorable. Loved this story and how they go from enemies to lovers. When in actuality they weren’t far from each other’s frame of view in their lifestyle blogs. Just with more focus on one thing or another. They were a kick ass team and really made swoon worthy moments. Live when people fall in love for all the right reasons. Plus he is one hot book boyfriend so that’s just the cherry on top.
What a fabulous book! Georgie and Jordan are not a fan of the other especially after their first meeting. Their second doesn’t go much better but that doesn’t last long! I loved the banter between these two and that banter pretty much fueled their attraction. You could feel their attraction the entire time, it was pretty hot and they definitely didn’t ignore it.
And I just have to point out the crazy odd coincidence that happened while I was reading this book. I had just just finished reading the part where a Michael Bolton song – How Am I Supposed to Live Without You was playing on a jukebox and that song happened to play on the tv show I had on in the background. I mean what are the odds!?!
I just have to say I loved this book and can’t wait for the next one in this series to come out.
Georgie has a blog called own the eights about finding the right person for you. Jordan is a fitness trainer with a need for perfection. The two end up in a contest and clashing hilariously in this romantic comedy. The couple find out the attraction between them is strong as well as their differences. A cute story.

OMGoodness! I absolutely loved this opposites attract, enemies-to-lovers story! It was adorable, it was charming, and so sweet and sexy!
Georgie was the perfect quirky heroine. Not caring what anyone thinks of her, she dresses and acts how she wants. She’s determined, she’s strong…and more than an eight.
I was smitten with Jordan. Even though he pushes for everyone to be a ten, deep down he has a big, caring heart and he’s not as shallow as some might think.
With so many laugh out loud moments and tons of heart-warming scenes, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Not only was this story fun, it has plenty of sexy times. Georgie and Jordan together were sizzling hot. Their chemistry was strong and I loved how they couldn’t resist each other.
Krista Sandor was a new-to-me author and I look forward to reading more from her!
The fun storyline was great and the characters were so well developed that I couldn’t put this book down until I finished reading the very last page!
First book that I have read from this author and I loved it. Great enemies to lovers story which is one of my favorite tropes. Georgie and Jordan were a great couple. I really enjoyed watching them get together. Great characters and a great storyline that will keep you laughing.

Georgie and Jordan do not like each other, but need to work together to win the ultimate prize. I completely love this story. I was cautious going in as I thought this would be another story the same as the rest, but this author surprised me with this one. It was funny, sweet and romantic as well as having a unique storyline. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend!!!
It took me quite a while to warm up to the story, more precisely to the characters and speaking of a rather short story it wasn’t what I expected. Fortunately my expectations were getting closer to the actual character development and I started to like the real personalities of Georgie and Jordan once they started to open up and showed their deeper layers laced with emotional baggage from childhood, thus helping me understand why they chose the way they lived as adults. It was really a cute enemies-to-lovers romance with an original storyline.

What a hilariously good book.
The story has humor, unexpected surprises, and of course love.
The characters are so engaging even though they are opposites in every way.
The plot keeps you read till the end.
This author has written a great book.
Georgie she’s a former beauty queen who owns a bookstore it’s in series need of cash but thinks some idiot named Bruce who said you should embrace your eightness after a disaster date now she writes a blog that helps others just like her find romance and happiness and now Georgia has a chance to win a blogger competition with CityBeat one complication Jorden mister be a ten and tens are in it to win it and I’m so fit blah blah.
Jordan I’m no longer the awkward skinny kid now I help others to achieve the perfect ten and I want to open my own gym I just need to win a completion at CityBeat until I’m saddled with a cardigan wearing bookshop owner and were competing against the Danies two other bloggers Georgia better nought loose me this composition. But the sparks fly name calling insues and a hole lot of steamy between these two.
Georgia is confident has and over the top mother and a dog by the name of Mr. Tuesday but the one thing she was lacking her perfect right or is it a ten.
Jordan may be musled but he’s got brains sure he starts out as a jerk but has had a bad influence in his life for two long. This book was sweet hilarious and a fast read I mean I loved the goats and all the other crazy things they got into on there way to true love.
I was allowed to receive and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
