If you’re all about crazy outlandish antics in a rom com, then this book is most definitely the book for you. The story of Jordan and Georgie continues and life has been fantastic for the duo since the end of first book. The first chapter completely sets the scene for the roller coaster ride that this couple will take you on. I had expected the planning of the wedding itself would be what caused the tension in their relationship, but no, it’s the couples retreat in the wildness that truly tests them.
I’m not one for the over the top stories because I still like a little reality in my romance; however, the basis of the story is very sweet and the characters truly grown and evolve during their short, whirlwind engagement. While the sexy times don’t seem as prominent in this book as the previous book, they’re still steamy and a little adventurous. Overall it’s a fun read and a great escape from these crazy times happening in the world.
I love Georgie and Jordan together. They are sweet together. They are steamy together. And they are hilarious together. I never thought I would read a book that contained a sh*t shovel but here it is. I was laughing so hard over the wilderness boot camp especially when neither of them are outdoorsy camping type people. Hilarious. Then throw in the craziness of the wedding frau and Georgie’s mother and then sweetness of really seeing another side of her step-dad. There were so many great moments in this book. Krista Sandor always delivers on an emotional, feel-good book with a hea.

I’ve missed these characters SO MUCH! I love their banter and quick-witted replies, the relationships they have with each other (the entire cast), and of course the infamous, imaginary literary trifecta!
So, we’re back with the wonderful Georgiana and Jordan. They’re working together, and are still all loved up! In fact, they’re planning to take the next big step in their relationship, as he proposes to her on live television. Whilst it had its funny moments, I wasn’t a fan. There was WAY too much interference and influence from others, and it was very unlike Jordy and Georgie. But at least she said yes…, “a thousand times yes”. And yes, she had to bring in some Jane Austen 😉
Apart from their well-meaning but meddlesome friends, enter her Mum (she’s very, very), and a part of “The Hydra of Denver” and Frau Lieblingsschatz… WOW! They had my head spinning! And Frau was way too intuitive and bossy, but found her quite endearing towards the end.
I didn’t however appreciate her ‘zero-fornication protocol’… poor Jordan and Georgie. No celebrating the engagement, until AFTER the wedding! Craziness! Apparently, the forbidden is often the most desired… But of course, they managed around the semantics of it all, having a ‘spa treatment’. Just what I need 😉
So, Frau who has been penned as the ‘Matriarch of Matrimony’, sends them off to a pre-wedding boot camp. She’s got some serious skills – and contacts! The reasons for this are exposed late in the story, and are very sweet. Jordan is stoked at the idea, having no real idea what it will entail, thinking it’s a fitness thing… yeah… nah!
Things don’t go so well. They learn things about each other they never knew, and their not-so-nice sides come out to play. I thought that boot camp might end them, as Georgie called it quits. On the camp? Or on their engagement and relationship? I was distraught – even just as the reader!
The next couple of weeks were torture all-round. This stubborn pair really made things needlessly hard for themselves and each other. So I was thankful (and a little bit apprehensive) when the big day finally arrived.
The race was first up, and ended beautifully with the (dual) reciting of Shakespeare’s beautiful Sonnet 116. I was swooning AND crying! Then there was a very sweet re-do on the proposal, and some lovely sentiments about investing time in each other through love. The obstinate eight and the inflexible ten really are meant to be!
And of course there was other dramas on their big day, making it all one big adventure for the ‘Empress and Emperor of Asshattery’. It was perfectly imperfect, and suited them to a tee! The honeymoon too… I just KNEW something was up as soon as Georgie was getting stuck into all of that pineapple, and had that ravenous sexual appetite!
What a way to end this book! And now you’re going to make me wait again?!?! It was wonderful and funny and heart-breaking and heart-warming and sweet and steamy, and all that I’ve come to expect and love about this author’s work. A definite five stars, with a big recommendation to read it.
And P.S… I want one of those Dom Perignon monster Christmas trees; I’m DEFINITELY using “he/she managed to throw one hell of a bullshit word salad” at some stage this week; that charm bracelet was perfect – as was her gift to him; and I also STILL love a (my) messy bun too, everyday!
I received a free copy of this book from the author via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Georgie and Jordan are at it again! When Jordan’s plan for proposing to Georgie is hijacked by well-meaning people, publicity, and Georgie’s mother, the ninja wedding frau steps into the fray and makes it all seem easy…until bridal bootcamp. Now Georgie and Jordan are reverting to their competitive and snarky past selves. At least, Jordan is. And as he sees his plans fall apart, his competitiveness pushes both him and Georgie to the brink, then right over the edge into madness. Now, with it all on the line, they have to find their way. Stubbornness, ninja planners, a stepdad who cares more than anyone ever knew, and succulents need to find a way to save the day in more ways than one. Georgie and Jordan also need to remind themselves of what really matters to find their true happiness together. At this rate, I’m almost afraid to see what shenanigans come next!
