Top three reasons why sleeping with the enemy is a bad idea…1. She’s my fiercest rival.2. She’s also my fiery ex.3. We’re going up against each other in a stiff competition to win the hottest new client on the market. And yet, I’d like to be up against the wall in a stiff competition to get her to call out my name.Time to double down on my resistance to her tough-as-nails, take-no-prisoners, … tough-as-nails, take-no-prisoners, sexy-as-sin attitude. The same attitude I find irresistible.
That’s a big problem, because in this race to nab the client, I run into Haven in the hotel, on the beach, in the guest quarters late at night.
Hate s-e-x would be a terrible idea.
Except, it’s the complete opposite, and now we can’t keep our hands off each other.
Trouble is, I’m not so sure it’s hate I’m feeling anymore.
And that’s the biggest reason sleeping with the enemy you’re falling for is a bad idea — my job literally depends on never letting her into my heart.

more
Overnight Service is the fourth novel in Lauren Blakely’s Always Satisfied series, and just like the three books before it, this newest addition has, indeed, left me rather satisfied. This is an enemies-to-lovers romance with a second-chance feel to it, and as always, Blakely’s mix of heat, heart, and hahas makes for the ideal read to kick off a new week. This can be a read as a standalone, but there are a number of recurring characters, and not just from the earlier books in this series. You don’t necessarily need to read those previous books, but if you happen to be a fan of Blakely’s and are familiar with her other romantic comedies–like me!–then you’ll be tickled to reconnect with these recognizable names and personalities. So again, you don’t have to read any other book to fully enjoy the story that’s in Overnight Service…BUT I have no qualms being a book pimp and pushing you to read them anyway.
There wasn’t a whole lot of love lost between Josh and Haven, and it wasn’t merely a matter of them pretending to hate each other to cover up deeper feelings. There’s a reason why they went their separate ways, but there’s also no denying that it wasn’t just sex between them before. I loved the back and forth that these two engaged in time and again. Their exchanges could go from biting to flirty and still remain fodder for romance read junkies like me. While most of the book is told in Josh’s and Haven’s dual perspectives, there are certain chapters that are actually told from the point of view of certain supporting characters, but not necessarily focusing on Josh and Haven’s story. On my end, I didn’t find this distracting since my curiosity was pinged as to what was happening with those side characters as well. Overall, Overnight Service was a fun read that kicked off my week quite happily. Five stars.
Overnight Service was sooo dang good! It’s a second chance, enemies to lovers trope. It’s a dual POV but mostly from the main hero’s POV. Josh and Haven are sports agents working for separate companies and in competition for many of the same athletes. Their banter was so incredibly good! They had so many well-placed zingers. I laughed a lot! I loved that there was really no crazy drama through the book. All of the supporting characters were excellent and brought so much to the story. It’s wonderfully written with a perfect pace and fun characters. This is another solid read from an always consistent author. I would absolutely recommend this.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I just love everything about this story!
Josh and Haven had me falling in love with them since the beginning. Their banter is hilarious and I couldn’t get enough of it. The chemistry between these two is out of this world hot, their connection is undeniable, and even when they are at each others throats they can’t help but be attracted to the other one.
The best thing about this book is that it’s so easy to connect with the characters and their emotions.
Sexy, fun and heartwaming.
“Overnight Service” was a fun, sexy book with smart, snarky characters that I adored. One of my favorite things about this book was that so much of the narration came from Josh, the male main character’s, point of view. He was such an amusing, likeable guy, and hearing his thoughts made the book a lot of fun to read. I especially loved Josh’s confidence and competitive nature; he almost came across as cocky, but never quite crossed the line into being arrogant.
Haven, the female lead character, is just as confident and competitive as Josh, though they have very different negotiating styles due to their different backgrounds as an athlete (Haven) and a lawyer (Josh). These differences in style, coupled with their obviously scorching chemistry and unresolved feelings for each other, led to a lot of great banter that made me laugh out loud several times. Even though it has been a year since their breakup, it’s clear that Haven and Josh are still very attracted to each other, and it’s a relief when they finally give into their feelings.
As I was reading the book, I had several guesses about where Haven and Josh would ultimately end up, but there was a little twist with their professional situation that I didn’t expect. It was a lot better than what I predicted would happen, and I love that Ms. Blakely managed to surprise me.
Overall, “Overnight Service” was another great read from Lauren Blakely, and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Lauren Blakely delivers all kinds of sexy goodness with Overnight Service. The story of Haven and Josh and the fierce rivalry they have with one another by day and the overpowering attraction they can’t seem to ignore by night provides one intense kind of love/hate relationship. Their work ethic is to be admired as these two competing sports agents vie for clients almost daily. And with a past that includes a very passionate two weeks over a year ago, I wasn’t sure if their inner mantras to keep things above-board would ever really stick.
I mean, seriously, the electricity is beyond palpable when they are in a room together. Even I could feel it just from the pages of my ereader! Josh and Haven can’t keep their eyes off one another, always trying their hardest to keep things professional. Add a few well-meaning friends and one very determined wife of a coveted tennis star and her plans for a insanely competitive weekend, and you’ve got the recipe for more sexy trysts, with both Josh and Haven throwing caution and good sense to the wind.
But beneath all of the heat Blakely’s main couples can’t seem to extinguish is the wonderful tenderness that will undoubtedly show up just when things get a bit too unsteady and that is what keeps me invested in these stories. It’s so much more than just a great romp in the hay. It’s the emotions that are felt deep down and how both Josh and Haven truly feel about the other. The mutual respect and the notion that maybe you truly can have it all. You honestly cannot get much better than that.
I continue to implore readers to find out just why I love this Author and her words so much. And Overnight Service is the one of the best reasons why. Grab this well-written and simply lovely 5 star read and find out for yourself.
Is sleeping with the enemy ever a good idea? Almost never, almost.
You can never go wrong with an enemy’s to lovers/second chance romance, especially written by
Lauren Blakely.
Josh and Haven are both sports agents and both extremely competitive, yet when in the same room the attraction is obvious. And omg the banter! One of my absolute favorite things between a couple is banter!
Another funny, hot and addictive read from one of my favorite authors!
Rival sports agents with the hots for each other. A recipe for combustible chemistry. Josh and Haven were colleagues until she was passed over for a promotion and blames Josh. For a brief time Josh and Haven had a very hot affair before their professional lives got in the way. I love the characters that Lauren Blakely writes. They are real everyday people with character, integrity, compassion, and hearts-of-gold. Will Josh and Haven give their hearts a chance? Will their careers get in the way of happiness? Read Overnight Service by Lauren Blakely to get your answers. Between the sheets time is always and I mean always super steamy. Fans of rom-com and contemporary romance will enjoy this newest story by Lauren Blakely. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Totally recommend it. 5 stars*****
This is Josh and Delilah’s story. Both of them are sports agents and are competitive. This a funny, witty story. Delilah is an olympian who was trained by Josh and they this torrid short affair, that left them wanting more. Their journey is funny, entertaining and so intensely hot. Their love hate relationship makes this a captivating read. The characters are adorable and their story fun. I honestly volunteered to review their story
Fans of Lauren Blakely will be thrilled to read her latest story about two rival sports agents who compete for the same athletic clients.
Haven Delilah is an Olympic gold medal snowboarder who formerly worked for the same agency as her rival Josh Summers. Josh is an attorney and contracts are his jam. He finds loopholes within loopholes to get the best deals for his clients. Josh had a fling with Haven while they worked together. Now Josh and Haven are competing for the same clients. Haven is angry and hurt and has her guard up to resist Josh. He is now the enemy and her fiercest rival! They struggle to resist their strong attraction and their unresolved feelings for each other. Eventually, their resistance can’t compete with their true feelings and their reunion is s-e-x-tacular!!

Overnight Service is book four in the Always Satisfied Series. Yes, you can read it as a standalone without any confusion, but you definitely don’t want to miss out on the rest of the amazing stories. This is Josh and Haven’s steamy story of becoming secret lovers to competitors/enemies and full circle again. You will love every minute of this fun, hot, romantic book! Spirts agents have never been so interesting! What is so great is getting bits from all the characters we already know and love. Another fabulous read from Ms. Blakely!
Fun and sexy quick read! you can’t go wrong with a Lauren Blakely book!
Thank you Lauren for giving us another amazing love story! Josh and Haven were co-workers, then they were lovers, then they were neither!!!! After a very competitive misunderstanding. So when they run into each other a year later the hatred and very funny jabs come, but they still lust for each other in a really bad way. This love/hate relationship is funny and oh so HOT! Great read!!!
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
This is a 2nd chance at love with two sworn enemies who are also in love with each other and they are also huge rivals.
This is sorta Jerry Maguireish type of story as both Josh and Haven are really good sports agents. At one time they worked at the same agency BUT when Haven was up for partner he took himself out of the vote and lost Haven forever.
Now they are at a conference together on the same panel and well its time for them to have it out with each other. And that is when things get really fun and HOT!
This was a really fun and sweet story with lots of heat and competitions. I absolutely loved Josh and Haven and you will too. This is part of series but easily stands alone.
Amazing, another notch to the five star Always Satisfied series. Josh and Haven are the perfect match, but they are business nemesis, of course she knows how to push his buttons and he is temptation personified. A great romance, full of steamy stories with enemies in the mix and just an emotional story that will have you reading or listening non stop. Haven being a strong character makes this story such a good one, when she is determined to get what she wants, she is work driven and she finds herself facing Josh, who was the one that hurt her in the past. Totally recommended, the audiobooks from Lauren Blakely are the best.

I loved this enemies to lovers romance! Josh and Haven were electric! Talk about some spiciness between the sheets. Even their banter oozed chemistry!
Josh and Haven are competitors in the world of high profile athletes amd their representation. It is a cut-throat industry for sure! After a verbal sparring match, a bet is hatched on who can sign the newest and greatest, up-n-coming star. Only these two will inevitably have more run-ins while vieing for the same athletes. And they have a history. History that neither has gotten over. History that they would really love to jump back into. History that should stay where it is…in the past. This has got trouble written all over it! Yum!
I loved Josh and Haven! The are both very driven and successful individuals. It is plain to see their attraction, and their fight to keep it at bay! You KNOW they are two runaway trains on the same track and they will eventually collide. Getting there was so much fun! I loved their revelations and their insight to their industry from their different perspectives. I loved their internal dialogues! And I ate up all their ooey gooey chemistry with a spoon!
I also liked the use of the secondary characters! They added so much to the story and gave me a well rounded view of their world.
Lauren Blakely is known for her well-crafted stories with just the right amount of sassy, smart, sweet, and spicy! Overnight Service checked every one of those boxes and more!
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. The review and rating are my opinion.
Absolutely loved this story it was an Enemies to Lovers tale! This is Josh and Haven’s book they are both sports agents and always competing against each other for clients, he steals hers and she steals his they are truly rivals. They had a fling and since it crumbled they are at each other’s throats and want nothing to do with each other. However they are in the same business making it impossible to avoid each other all the time. It’s a complete story and was great the author does an amazing job of making the read want more and smile and laugh while rooting for the characters. Loved this story!
I’m a huge fan of Lauren Blakely. Her books are always one-click buys for me, and as much fun as her books are to read, they are even better to LISTEN TO – her audiobooks are off the charts amazing and must listens for romance fans.
In Overnight Service, we have a second-chance/rivals to lovers story. You have Josh Summers, successful sports agent, extremely competitive, charming, swooney and always on-point. Then you have Haven Delilah, former Olympian, former lover, former protege, and now his new competition.
They have been pushing each other’s buttons for years, and they don’t stop now. This book is filled with tons of witty banter and snark, tons of heat, and, of course, a HEA. And as a bonus, we get to revisit with some of Lauren’s past leading couples as well.
I love that you get both points of view, as is typical with Lauren Blakely. And in the audio it makes it even more amazing. This audio is actually a full cast recording, which is so much fun and so different from what we typically experience with audiobooks.
Overnight Service by Lauren Blakely is sweet second chance romance between Haven and Josh, lovers-turned-enemies-turned-lovers-again. Some missed/miscommunication caused a rift between them, but you could tell they still shared some very intense feelings. Josh and Haven are both so highly competitive, it was entertaining waiting to see who would break first.
Josh is a good guy, very likeable and charming, if somewhat clueless when it came to dealing with certain things. Haven is strong and independent, not afraid to fight for what she wants in a male dominated career. Even with the way things ended with Haven and Josh, I liked that there wasn’t a lot of unnecessary drama between them. There was still a bit of back and forth, both personally and professionally, until they each admitted to themselves what they were really missing- each other.
A quick and easy read, Overnight Service will be sure to please die-hard Lauren Blakely fans!
Lauren Blakely put twist of flirty fun and wicked passion in an enemies-to-lovers romance and we have another sexy swoony love story called Overnight Services. You will get the same Lauren Blakely goodness that I never get tired of reading!
I swear Lauren Blakely owns a magical pen. Wait I mean magical brain. Because I am addicted to her words. No one does romantic comedy with such flair like Lauren Blakely. Overnight Services was no exception. Josh Summers is THE man. Charming and gorgeous with silver tongue and amazing sense of humor. He is fiercely competitive and determined. He is one of the top sports agent and he never leaves a single inch to anyone while it comes to snagging a new deal. Except Haven. His protege, his ex lover, his competitor, his enemy and his love. The problem is they ended their short term attachment on a bitter note. And now they hate each other and try to outmanoeuvre each other at every chance even though they actually want to tear each other’s clothes. They hurt each other because they do not know how to handle love.
Haven is a great character. I love how Lauren Blakely makes her female characters fierce, sassy, smart and sexy. This girl is the very definition of Girl Power. She is a powerhouse in a male dominated industry and earned every bit of success and respect with sheer hard work and determination. And her only weakness is Josh Summers. She is not supposed to crave him and need him. But when they have to work side by side, their common sense evaportes. But their chemistry is really complicated. It is nuclear hot and intense. They spar with each other with witty banter and comebacks. They have true feelings those they resist. Until they realize nothing is more important than love. No deal, no endorsement, no career goal.
Overnight Services by Lauren Blakely was one hundred percent good time wrapped in sweet, sexy and funny moments. I can never enough of her stories.
