Living life in the fast lane. One day at a time. Never thought I’d get away from racing cars and turf wars, but I have. If someone had told me I’d be opening a shelter for wayward teens, I’d have called them a liar. But they’d have been right. Unfortunately, it was naive to think the rumble of tires eating up asphalt wouldn’t come looking for me. A guy like me can’t hide from that life for long. can’t hide from that life for long.
Especially not when the winnings could change the lives of the kids I’m trying like hell to save.
As if I wasn’t busy enough, the beautiful club owner of Ascension just happened to pop up in my life.
The sexy thing walks circles around me in her leather jacket and heels.
And I thought it was about winning a race. It’s not.
It’s about the woman of my dreams outrunning life with me, now and forever.

A fantastic, riveting, and heart pounding story about Benji a young man who gave up illegal street racing in order to open a center/shelter for kids and Charlie a young woman who now owns a night club. A captivating and thrilling story of what could happen during an anything goes illegal street race and finding love amidst the madness. Outrunning Life will keep readers on the edge of their seats and will have them laughing, in tears, and in love with Benji, Charlie, and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This is book number two in this series and I love it. I can not wait to read the next book in this series and I highly recommend this story to everyone. You will not be disappointed when you read this story.
This is the second book in the fabulous “The Streets” Series by the best selling author, Ali Parker. Whilst you don’t have to have read book 1 [but I strongly urge you to do so as it is just so good], this can easily be read as a standalone although characters appear in both books. In this one Benji [Laina’s brother and Mason’s best friend] and Charlie [who is best friend of Harley who used to organise the illegal street races] meet and it allows us into their love story. Benji was an underground street racer and he is now trying to help kids keep off the streets and meets Charlie who owns a strip club called Ascension where she used to dance. She agrees to help fund raise for Benji’s charity and the book follows their ‘story’. The chemistry between the two of them is off the charts and they are just so good together. having ‘met’ Benji in the last book, I was really looking forward to reading his HEA and I was certainly not disappointed. When Benji agrees to drive one more illegal street race for a friend who can no longer do so, there is plenty of tension and worry. Will he be safe? Will he be caught? Can these two wonderful characters find happiness with each other or is it just a fling? I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended
Outrunning Life was a quick read with some passion, friendships and great characters with instant chemistry. Ali Parker has written a great storyline with some really intriguing characters. Benji left his street racing days behind, now his passion is his shelter. Charlie is a smart business woman. When these two meet for the first time you can really feel the connection. This is book number two and it is just as great as the first book. A must read kind of book it will have you wanting more of The Streets Series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Benji, Mason’s best friend and Laina’s brother, is a former underground street racer and now runs a shelter for at risk kids. Charlie is Harley’s best friend and worked her way up from dancer to owning the upscale strip club, Ascension. Benji and Charlie are attracted to each other when the meet at a street race Harley has put together. Harley wants to help Benji raise money for his shelter and offers to hold a fundraiser at her club. Benji wants to raise money for the shelter and his kids, so he agrees to race in the street races for a friend who can’t race anymore because of a medical condition. Will Benji and Charlie realize there is more than just amazing chemistry and passion? Will Benji and Charlie realize they are a stronger force together than apart? Can Benji stay safe while racing in the illegal underground street races? Will Benji win it all in the finals of the street races? I loved Outrunning Life by Ali Parker. The chemistry between Benji and Charlie is off the charts scorching hot. Outrunning Life is supersonic rush of drama, passion, chemistry, and some danger. I would definitely recommend getting Outrunning Life by Ali Parker. Outrunning Life is a fantastic book that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat from the beginning to the end. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. The street racing is exciting but it also has two other back stories..All about the Strip Club Ascension and the owner, and she’s Harleys best friend…and then Benji’s new life passion taking care of street kids by opening and running a shelter for teenagers…
You wont want to put this book down as it has so much going on you cant wait to find out what is going to happen next..Cant wait to read the next book in this series…
A very well written story with great storyline and plot. An amazing read with likeable characters that have a great chemistry and both are passionate. I like the story is written in dual POV which gives the reader a lot more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. This brings the story closer and makes it more real.
Two characters who are well described and make a great couple. The story felt real because of the use of words and writing style.
Very captivating and engaging.
ONE HEART STOPPING READ!!!
Oh man, talk about a spectacular ending. This read is as captivating as it is riveting from beginning to end. All the twists, turns and unpredictable events along with surprising circumstances that really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. You feel everything the characters feels, you hurt, love and cry right along with them. Ali didn’t hold back or pull any punches, she threw it right out there and it all came out brilliantly. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really brings this phenomenal tale to life flawlessly. Remarkable job Ali, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
A street car racer that gives everything to provide shelter for teens, a strip club owner, a friend with health issues and so much more. This exciting fast paced read is about Benji and Charlie. This is the second book in The Streets series and kept me racing through the pages from beginning to end. Fantastic storyline , wonderful characters that care about the people they are close to. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Great addition to The Streets series which can also be read as a standalone.
Benji and Charlie make a perfect pair! I really enjoyed their story and they were great together. They had an amazing chemistry between them. I liked that Charlie was such a strong character but also didn’t back down from showing vulnerability. Their story was fast-paced with lots of action and heart-racing moments, as well as lots of steamy scenes. I gladly recommend it and can’t wait to read Rick and Harley’s story next!

Well if read the first one then you know who Benji is. He is the brother to Laina and best friend of Mason but after what went down with him we see the other side of Benji, the caring guy who wants to help kids. He proves us right when he gives up is office to a girl in need. He’s what us women want in a man. Then in walks the sex goddess as he proclaims her, Charlie. She’s this kickass woman who bought a club and made sure her girls were well taken care and no one gave them a hard time. When this two get together it’s like fireworks going off all at once. Their chemistry is hot and it’s what keeps us hooked to the end. I can’t wait for the next one. We definitely know who it’s about Rick and Harley. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
This is such a refreshing change from the usual club owner, shelter provider in that Charlie owns the club and Benji provides street kids with somewhere to go and tries to help. This is their story and is a page turner from the start.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
I adore these guys so much, and I love seeing another one find his perfect match. This series feels a lot like reading one of the Fast and Furious franchise movies, and that just makes me love the story even more. Benji struck me as the quiet brother in the previous book. He wasn’t the center of attention the way Mason was, and he wasn’t the catalyst that Rick ended up being for the story. Benji was flying kind of under the radar until this book. I LOVE him! He’s got the smarts and the skill. He’s also got a great big, gold-plated marshmallow heart. Charlie is the perfect sweetheart to partner with him. Strong, sassy, and brilliant; she’s the kind of heroine I love reading about. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for Rick and Harley now.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

An edgy addition to The Streets series
Charlie, owner of a high end New York strip club, goes to meet with her friend Harley at The Streets and gets introduced to Benji, owner of a non-profit that helps homeless kids and former street racee, when he comes up to talk to Harley. As the story progresses they get to know each other, Charlie helps Benji out, Benji helps a friend out and the danger of street racing comes calling. Ali Parker has created an edgy addition to her The Streets series.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
4.5 stars
Another great story by Ali Parker! Her female characters are strong and don’t back down from conflict and fight for what they want. One such character is Harley, who I have loved since her debut in the first of this series (Outracing Demons). She is the cool, sexy, flirty woman who runs The Streets. Although this story isn’t her full story (yet!), I love everything about her and hope to read her story in the next book in the series (please Ali??!!).
The main leading lady in this story is Charlie and she is best friends with Harley….so yes, they both rock! Charlie falls for Benji, a street racer who is doing all he can to keep roofs over the heads of kids in need through his shelter. They are great together and he is a wonderful leading man for her. He is strong but can also let her be strong, too. No need for one to always dominate and I enjoy that Ali’s characters aren’t what you expect. Her storyline is always fresh and new. When you think you know what will happen, something does instead. It kept me turning the pages quite quickly. Read it – you won’t regret it! Although I received this as an ARC, all opinions are my own.
This emotional rollercoaster will have you in awe. Charlie and Benji draws you in and their story is amazing. Benji runs a shelter that caters to wayward teens at risk teens. It eats his money but he is doing great work. Charlie runs a strip club that she has built up and is proud of her achievements. It is love at first sight when these two meet. He has gotten away from racing and fast cars but the winnings from this race will benefit his shelter. Will he take a chance on the race in both categories for love and the shelter? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
