She drives him crazy… In more ways than one. Every time Leah Holt encounters Quantum Production’s chief counsel, Emmett Burke, the only thing she can think of is how much she wants to lick him. Everywhere. She’s never had that kind of reaction to a man, and the fact that he’s a much-older colleague makes her out-of-control attraction to him far more complicated than it should be. Every day, she … it should be. Every day, she brings a new legal question to Emmett, hoping to catch his attention and make him see her as a grown woman who wants him desperately. She walks a fine line in trying to remain professional as the assistant to superstar Marlowe Sloane while lusting after Marlowe’s sexy attorney.
To Emmett, Leah is a fly buzzing around his head who can’t be swatted away. She’s always there, looking at him, asking him legal questions that have nothing to do with his specialty in entertainment law and generally driving him mad with her overt sexiness and sassy mouth. He wants to toss her over his desk and run the sass right out of her, which is hardly the way a professional who loves his job should behave in the office—especially with a young, fresh, sexy colleague. As the author of the company’s policy on inter-office dating, he’s painfully aware of all the reasons he should stay far, far away from her and the tantalizing temptation she represents.
Then Leah gets her chance to step up for Emmett, to help him through an unfortunate “accident” and to show him she’s much more than just a smart mouth and a sexy body. When she realizes she has genuine feelings for him—and that those feelings are returned—she wonders if he will take a chance on her or continue to hold her at arm’s length. Slowly but surely, she chips away at his resistance, and he begins to crave more of her. But Emmett knows if he’s going to let her in, he has to let her all the way in. What will she think when he introduces her to his BDSM lifestyle? Will she still want him the way she does now or will she run away in horror? And what will he do if she runs away?
When Leah confronts a dangerous threat from her past, Emmett is forced to acknowledge that his “annoying little fly” has worked her way firmly into his heart—and his bed.

I love Leah and Emmett together. I’ve been waiting for their stories since they walked onto the page, and I couldn’t be happier that they were paired together. Leah has always been utterly irreverent, while Emmett was the buttoned up lawyer with a hidden secret. These two are explosive together, and their sexploits are hysterical. Waiting to see if they can work things out, if Emmett will deal with all of his issues was a wonderful story. Everyone should read this.
Do You know Marie Force’s books ???? If the answer is YES – review will be short – You definetly need this book, because You know it will be very good.
If You’re newbie for Marie’s work… girls, ladies and maybe gentelmen…… I say again go to read this sexy as sin book !!!
I like Marie work since ages. I read all books in this series. Till today I was very sure that the first one will be always THE ONE, which I like the most. But no, no, no … Marie didn’t allow me for that !!! Maybe I should feel ashamed or even little mad that she show me where I should stand in line
If You read the blurb You’ll se what’s this book has inside, right ????
This book is about love obviously, some moment make You blush hard, some moment crush Your heart… but it’s still good way to spend Your day or night with bookish fun.
Leah and Emmett…. this couple made me “sigh” a lot of times. Marie knew exactly how to catch me up in their story, I just couldn’t put this book down. Every page by page I was feeling more impatient to see what happen next.
I would tell You all a lot, lot more because I very like Leah and Emmet’s story … but it’s only review, not tightly synopsis about what You can find in Outrageous. If You want to know more -start to read, then eat and repeat till the last page this story.
The most fun and funny book I’ve read in years!!
Marie Force has never disappointed me. When she puts out a book, I buy it and know I will get a loving family vibe, some laugh out loud moments and the ups and downs of a new relationship as the characters come to terms with their pasts to accept the love being offered. Some authors become predictable and it is like reading the same story over and over again. That hasn’t happened with Marie’s writing and I hope she will continue to create new characters with new challenges to work into her well loved series.
Hands down hilarious read! Leah is fiesty, sassy, gorgeous and so in love with Emmett Burke the composed, dominant, sexy as sin lawyer that refuses to acknowledge the spark igniting between them! I have loved this series fron the beginning and this book only had me falling more in love with this series and characters. I had so many laugh out loud moments that I was unable to put this book down until the end which only left me craving more. So looking forward to the next book in this series!
Outrageous by Marie Force is book seven in her Quantum Series. Every book in the series is a full length, standalone about another couple without cliffie. The previous books are Virtuous; Valorous; Victorious; Rapturous; Ravenous and Delirious.
Leah Holt is a 24 year old woman, works as PA for a famous movie star and is friends with the Quantum crew.
Emmett Burke is the company´s Production´s chief counsel, a stern man, strict and rigorous. And Leah has a major crush on him. While he sees her as nuisance, too quirky, too young, too not fitting for his tastes; Leah has her sights set on him and there isn´t a thing she can´t get when she wants it. Emmett doesn´t stand a chance against the tiny force.
With Outrageous Marie Force wrote a wonderful story with characters I easily could connect with. The writing is excellent and the story is beautifully thought out, beautifully told and beautifully written. The book contains Odions, a Quantum Short Story.
Marie Force does it again. Another great book!
4.5/5
Leah Holt would drive anyone crazy, not just Emmett. She’s naughty and sassy – and you couldn’t help but just like her instantly. She makes me laugh with her thoughts on Emmett and the things she wanted to do to him. She never felt this strong to anyone but him. But he doesn’t give her the time of the day – he thinks she’s too young and flighty for him. Nevertheless, Leah would bring something into his attention, legal questions out of nowhere just for them to talk.
Emmett is not as strong as what Leah pegs him to be. He’s on a tight string with her, a few more and he might snap. He wants to do things to her, things he wasn’t sure she was completely up to.
But when an accident happen (this was just way too epic!), Leah got her chance to spend time and take care of Emmett. But the more Emmett spends time with her, the attraction just intensifies. Leah was so much more than just a smart mouth and sexy body. Leah sure knows how to make her way into his life, into his bed, and into his heart. Before he knows it, she was well settled in. But what happens when he introduced her into his lifestyle? Is she brave enough to try it? Or will it drive her away? It didn’t help that troubles from her past is still haunting her as well.
I adore both characters. Leah is just pure fun, and sassiness. Emmett might be a little stuffy – but they complement each other well. I love how Emmett can be possessive and how he takes care of the people he loves, and Leah – she’s made up of strong stuff – nothing can put her down, not her past, nor the present trouble she’s been into. I love their banters, I just couldn’t help but laugh so much. I just knew Emmett is already in trouble when she put her sights on him. Them getting together is just perfect, it wasn’t fast, but it was just spontaneous, as if it was really meant to be since the first page.
Outrageous is outrageously fun, sexy, and delectably entertaining.
I have read all the Quantum books and this doesn’t disappoint. Leah is a sassy, sexy woman with a crush on Emmett, the lawyer and all around surly friend of the partners at Quantum. Leah decides to set her sights on Emmett and when Emmett has an unfortunate incident at a get-together one evening, Leah takes him to hospital and then takes him home to look after him. Emmett doesn’t do relationships but tells Leah they will have one night together, to scratch the itch, and then never speak of it again. Sounds like a plan, but best laid plans don’t always work out. Leah gets under his skin and under Emmett, and on top of him and every other way you could imagine! This book is hysterical and not to be sneezed at.
Once again Marie has written a book that keeps you engaged from the first page! This book also keeps you in stitches!! Leah and Emmett are so funny, but the things that come out of Leah’s mouth are priceless! I have read every book of Marie’s and will read every book to come!
WOW!!! I love all of Marie’s books but I really didn’t think I would love a Quantum couple as much as I did Natalie and Flynn featured in the first 2 books of this series but I was wrong.
Leah and Emmett had me in the first few pages of chapter 1 and it just kept getting better and better and BETTER!!! From the first lick, to the pool, to the hospital, to the sneezing, it was AMAZING!!
This story will keep you in laughter, tears and deep thought. I personally think it is the best in the series. I can’t wait for Marlowe’s story and I’m hoping I’m right on who she ends up with. I’m not saying Marie can’t out do this book but this book is ON FIRE!!!
You can read this as a stand alone but I have no idea why you would. This series needs to be enjoyed by all!!!!
BTW — Don’t read this book in public unless you want people to think you are crazy weird with your laughing, smiling all the time, etc. Also don’t read where you are suppose to be quiet because you will be dying laughing.
Something about Leah always frightened Emmet. She was young, beautiful, reckless, funny…and so sexy! All this spelled disaster for the confirmed bachelor. He knew if he got too close to her his organized and controlled life would be set on its head. What starts as an agreement for a one night stand blows up into an amazing romance to change both their lives.
This is one of my favorite stories by Marie Force. It is sexy, lighthearted, and thrilling. This love affair between engaging characters will have you smiling and crying at the same time. You also get a bonus short story at the end. Do not miss it!
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing this book with me.
Loved this book as much as the others in this series. Some people may not agree, but I think you should read the other books before this one. It would give you more clarification on the characters. This is well written. It’s comical. You will laugh hard at some parts. I love the way that Marie allows Emmett to grow as a person in a “relationship”. I’m glad that Leah was headstrong and just wouldn’t take no for an answer. The storyline is easy to follow. Well done! Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
Laugh out loud funny and steamy, smoking hot. Leah and Emmett, I love them!!
What a fun story. Leah wanted to have Emmett with every fiber of her being. Even if it was only for one night. When he got his package hurt, her friend, Natalie, volunteered her to care for him since she knew Leah wanted him. I will say Leah and Emmett’s banter was hilarious throughout the whole book. My husband kept asking what I was laughing about. When Leah’s life if threatened, Emmett falls apart, but his friends and Leah put him back together. This book was full of sexy banter, fun banter, sexy scenes, and love. One of Marie’s best
I did not think I would love another couple as much as I loved Natalie and Flynn but shut the front door.
Leah and Emmitt had me at the first lick.
Leah has been taken out of a job she really should not have been in to a job that is most perfect for her. She was a teacher but after going to her best friend’s wedding she ended up with the job as a PA to a Hollywood movie star, who also happens to be another member of the Quantum group. She is thrust into this Quantum family and sets her eyes on Emmitt. She falls for him while he goes over contracts the day she is hired. After that she ends up talking to him all the time with legal questions.
Emmitt has had a very hard time in his past and does not need/want a relationship. He is a member of the “basement” and for now that is all he needs for the person touch, or so he thinks. Then he is caught up in the hurricane named Leah.
This story will keep you in laughter, tears and deep thought. I personally think it is the best in the series. And I very much look forward to Marlowe’s story and pretty sure we can all guess who she will end up with.
You can read this as a stand alone but I have no idea why you would. This series needs to be enjoyed by all.
Outrageous is book seven in Marie Force’s Quantum series. While it is a part of a series, I can honestly say it can be read as a standalone. Outrageous is the first book in the Quantum series that I’ve ever read, and I was not lost at all at any point in the story. This series is a bit more on the erotic side than her other novels, though, so be warned! I will say that as far as BDSM goes, it’s pretty tame compared to some I’ve unwittingly read in the past.
Leah Holt is fairly new at Quantum. Fresh from NYC and a job she hated, she is loving her new life in California. She’s got a fabulous job that comes with fabulous perks. The best of those perks? Emmett Burke. He’s the super hot legal eagle in the office… and she’s desperate for him to notice her as a woman. She’ll do whatever she can to make him see her as more than the young, inexperienced girl he thinks she is.
Emmett is totally drawn to Leah Holt… but he shouldn’t be. He’s ten years older and much more… experienced. He’s not convinced Leah can handle his… preferences. But when a freak accident has Leah taking care of Emmett, neither one of them are able to resist their attraction to each other. And when danger rears it’s head over Leah, can Emmett keep her from harm?
So… I do love a good Marie Force novel. But BDSM isn’t usually my thing. However, the series has had some pretty great reviews so I decided to dive in with this book. And it wasn’t as… explicit… as I was prepared for it to be. The characters are likeable, the story line keeps moving well, and the BDSM themes are fairly tame… and sometimes just darn hilarious!
NICUnurse’s Rating: I’m going to give this book 4.5 stars. While it didn’t have me thinking about it long after “The End,” it did have all of the elements I am used to reading in a Marie Force novel. Her stories are usually interesting and fast-paced, with likeable characters who grow along the way. And there’s always just a bit of her signature humor tossed in for good measure. Fans of Marie Force will not be disappointed in this novel at all. Grab your copy today!!
3.5 stars
Outrageous is my first Marie Force book. I have to say that there are some unforgettable scenes that make the entire book. I love the levity they bring to the book.
Outrageous is seventh in the series but can be read as a standalone. Other than trying to quickly catch up with names and couples, jumping in at the seventh book is smooth sailing.
This deliciously naughty book is the perfect way to state your inner “bad girl”. Having some fun while falling for the enigmatic lawyer is a great way to start your day…or finish it.
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Outrageous is book 7 in the Quantum Series but every book in this series is a stand-alone full length novel about a different couple and this is Emmett Burke and Leah Holt’s story and what a story they have to tell…….
Leah Holt is PA to movie star Marlow Sloane and that also makes her friends with the Quantum crew she may be the youngest member of this close knit group of friends but that doesn’t mean the 24 year old can’t be attracted or fantasise about Emmett Burke who is Quantum’s chief counsel.
Emmett Burke may be attracted to Leah but in his mind she is way to young to enjoy his lifestyle and that means avoiding her at all costs as there is no way he can act of the sizzling chemistry that seems to spark whenever they are in a room together.
Will this couple work out their differences will Leah be able to convince Emmett age is just a number well i guess you will need to read the book to find that out. As always Marie Force has given us a book with characters you connect with and with a story that’s beautifully written. The group of friends that make up the Quantum group have become friends of mine over the 7 books and I’m sure they will become friends of yours if you give them a chance. Great addition to a brilliant series.
5 Star Review of Outrageous (Quantum #7) by M.S. Force
This is book 7 in the hugely successful Quantum series and is the story of Emmett Burke and Leah Holt and oh what a story it is!
I loved everything about the pairing of Emmett and Leah, they are fantastic characters individually but together they are amazing and it made reading Outrageous super easy.
Leah loves her job as the PA to movie star Marlowe Sloane and even more so that she is continuously outs herself in the path of the oh so smoking hot Emmett who absolutely ticks all her boxes. Sure he is older than her with a lot more experience but he draws her to him like a moth to a flame. Of course the only problem is that Emmett is equally determined to keep his distance from her despite the attraction he feels.
When an opportunity falls at her feet, Leah has the chance to show Emmett that there is more to her than meets the eye. Emmett slowly but surely falls for Leah but will she accept the BDSM lifestyle he leads or run? Can Emmett survive if Leah rejects his lifestyle?
The writing is excellent and the characters are so likeable that Ms.Force makes them easy to connect too. I loved seeing glimpses of the others at Emmett and Leah raced towards their happily ever after.
I loved this book from start to finish, it was great catching up with the other couples and I cannot wait until there is another addition to the Quantum series. I highly recommend this book and the series. Although a stand-alone, I feel to get the “story” of the people who make up this “family” of Quantum people it would be best to read them in order. I know you won’t be disappointed.
