She doesn’t seem to be anyone’s favorite wolf…Luciana Esposito Barrows never imagined her dream of uniting the Lone Wolves and giving them a home could go so terribly awry. First, her brother rejected her, repudiating her from Seven Hills and leaving her without a powerful ally. Then the U.S. packs put her on notice, monitoring their movements, keeping them contained…then the Russians came. The … Russians came. The last person in the world she expected to turn on her, was her own mate.
She was everything to him…
Rayne Barrows never thought of himself as much of a romantic. In his heart, he was a soldier and had always risen to the task where he was needed. Born in the heart of the Delta Crescent pack, he’d grown up alongside a future Alpha and willingly served her father as a faithful Hound. When the battles for ascension began, he couldn’t face those he loved in combat. He chose a solitary path instead. Journeying around the world, he found himself in Italy…and discovered a wolf he could love. Luciana Esposito captured his heart and he followed her—even when he didn’t believe in her cause. Now with a pack in tatters around them and their enemies closing in, Rayne faces his most brutal challenge.
To save the woman he loves and the pack they formed, he challenged her and took her position as alpha. Can their mate bond survive such a betrayal?

Outlaw Wolves takes us into Three Rivers. This new pack is having growing pains particularly now because their current and former alpha’s are mated and not especially happy with one another. If they don’t get their act together everything they’ve worked for may fall apart.
This story tore me up. I didn’t want to like Luciana. She has been an entitled alpha bitch throughout the series. But I really liked Rayne and he helped me see a side of Luciana that most others don’t get to. This story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride that will leave you breathless.
This is part of a series but can be read stand alone
This story takes into Three Rivers pack and two very misunderstood Floyd’s who are mate’s! This is a story of “I’m going to protect you but not tell you!” Neither one thinks it’s ok not to communicate what i a going on till it’s almost to late! Rayne fought his mate for the Alpha position…Luciana his mate feels betrayed and since he didn’t bother to let her know I can see why. Enter a wolf from her brothers pack in Italy who’s a little wacked…trouble …injury..almost death! Yikes! Great read.
Waited a minute for something from this author because she is on my to go to list. I dived in settled down being transported once again to their world. They have given me many escapes with this one being one that kept me on edge also. The two featured in here-Lucianna and Rayne have you dancing around them with watching them closely. The chemistry is there but so is stubbornness on both parts. You want to see them together but the dance and tension keeps you on the edge of your seat eating up every bit. You also get to see others you are familiar with. This one is one that is for those that love a emotional pull for sure.
I’ve waited a long time for this story, and it was totally worth the wait.
This book opens with a visit from Julian and Dallas, the goal to have Three Rivers operate as the other packs do, through trade. Rayne is skeptical at first but has to agree with the benefits.
Now Luciana has done some pretty dumb things but she did it for love. Unfortunately Rayne took the reins from her in Alpha Challenge. Took the pack from her in what she considers the ultimate betrayal.
What she doesn’t realize or even understand for that matter, is the fact that American packs are far different from the one she was raised in. So she keeps failing at least in her own eyes.
Rayne did what he had to do and has been giving her the space she says she needs. It is putting a strain on the pack and their mate bond. He loves her and now he has to win her back.
However the appearance of a Seven Hills Centurion, Rodrigo complicates matters.
A rather horrible twist of fate lands Luciana severely injured and near death. It’s Rayne and the pack that keep her alive until the healer can arrive.
The healer was a pleasant surprise, as was all the visitors that come to aid the pack that needs help in a unique way. You’ll love who shows up as much as I did.
All I can tell you folks, is have your tissues handy, and keep hydrated.
Plenty of tension, revelations, heart-breaking scenes, and the simmer to sizzle is worth every page. Yes, Luciana and Rayne win me over, eventually.
Whoa. I wasn’t expecting an edge-of-your-seat read but Outlaw Wolves delivers drama and intrigue and infighting and a story of deep love, with a touch of self-loathing thrown in for good measure!
Luciana and Rayne start their story with a war raging, between the two of them. I won’t be giving away any spoilers by saying that Rayne had challenged Luciana to be alpha of Three Rivers…and she is his mate. That should give you some idea of the road these two travel!
On top of everything else that is going on between Rayne and Luciana, there is a sinister “air” in Three Rivers, one that puts Luciana right back in the crosshairs. Rayne is feeling the heat from the other Alphas in the US region and all of it kept my blood pumping thru the book.
Great to read about these wolves again. Suffice it to say that Outlaw Wolves is a bit ‘dark’ but will keep you reading, just to figure out what will happen next. It took me a while to warm up to Luciana but I did love Rayne. It was fun to visit with the rest of the wolves in Three Rivers, too. Really enjoyed the story.
