The past is only a moment away…One minute historian Lindsey MacMillan is reading about a legendary highlander accused of a shocking crime. The next minute she falls back in time, landing in the Middle Ages – and in the arms of the outlaw highlander.A battle-weary warrior exiled for a crime he didn’t commit… and afraid, Tavish Sinclair is captivated. Despite her odd manner of dress and eccentric ways he vows to shield her from the evil forces that pursue him. But will his code of chivalry survive that quick smile, sweet scent, and enticing eyes?
Fate took Lindsey back through time to redeem an innocent man, not fall for the brooding outlaw. But when she gets a chance to return home she’s forced to choose. Go back to the modern world?

This is an intriguing, unpredictable and entertaining. Tavish is kind, chivalrous and honorable. Lindsey is determined, bold and caring. Lindsey’s mother has been obsessed with Tavish and his life, convinced that he was punished for a crime he didn’t commit, so she bought his house with plans to restore it. When they run out of money, Lindsey’s mother sends her on vacation. Lindsey took a boat out on the loch, and woke up in the past. Tavish saves her from drowning and takes responsibility for her, but he doesn’t know whether he can trust her or not he can trust her. When Tavish explains his circumstances to her, she insists on helping him. They seem to have some kind of connection, but both realize that it wouldn’t be a good idea to get close, she would be going back to her time eventually. Together they set off to get what they need to fix things, and there are some surprises waiting for them along the way. It’s a must read.

Book three in Highlander’s Time series and I hope there are more books to come. Lindsey MacMillan travels back in time to the Middle Ages and into the arms of outlaw highlander Tavish Sinclair. The love between them will have to go through a lot before they get their happy ending. I recommend this book.
One minute historian Lindsey MacMillan is reading about a legendary highlander accused of a shocking crime. The next minute she’s falling back in time, landing in the Middle Ages – straight into the arms of the outlaw highlander.
Exiled for a crime he didn’t commit…
When a fiery redhead emerges from the mist lost and afraid, Tavish Sinclair is captivated, despite her odd manner of dress and eccentric ways. He vows to shield her from the evil forces that pursue him but will his code of chivalry be able to survive that quick smile, sweet scent, and those enticing eyes?
This short time travel romance novella held my attention from the first chapter. I finished it in one sitting.
Lindsey’s mother was always enthralled with Tavish’s story and for one never believed him capable of the crime he was accused of. Lindsey just wanted to know what had become of the man as he seemed to have just disappeared after his banishment.
I have read all of this author’s Scottish time travel stories and have enjoyed most of them tremendously.
I gave this book 4.5 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization. This novella is a page turner and not to be missed if you have become a Blanche Dabney fan.

Lindsey was from the present time. Her mother bought the home of Tavish Sinclair and was going to restore it, but they ran out of money before it was completed. If they don’t find the ruby locket that was supposedly hidden somewhere in the house, they would be evicted.
Lindsey somehow traveled back in time through the mist to the 1300’s. She met the real Tavish Sinclair who people thought was a murderer. Follow along as they try to retrieve a sacred stone and return it to the Sinclair laird in order to free his father from the dungeons. Will Lindsey choose to stay or go back to her time to help her mom find the locket? Or can she figure out a way to tell her mom where the locket is and stay with the man she has fallen in love with?
I received a free copy and I chose to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.
Who hasn’t read something and wished they could actually be there? Well, that’s what happens to Lindsey. One minute she’s reading about an outlaw and the next minute she finds herself face-to-face with him. Will she be able to save Tavish? I have read everything by this author. With each book she just gets better. The characters and story-line of this story may be the best so far in my opinion.
*I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
This is a entertaining, short, time travel, historical romance. There is a lot of sweetness, poignancy and emotional turmoil as you are swept up into Tavish and Lindsey’s story. The pull between these two was very strong and that made these two very easy to root for.
A boat ride magically takes Lindsey back in time. She meets a
Highlander she has read about. Together they change the history of the Sinclair’s and find true love. Nice adventure story.
(sigh) I really enjoyed reading this story that concluded with the extended epilogue tying up all the loose ends. The H/h both were going through their own personal h*ll. Both Tavish and Lindsey are extremely brave and have strong personalities. They have weathered painful existences only to find redemption through each other. Their strengths complemented each other and they helped each other through the weaknesses. It is a sweet romance steeped in historical memories. I do recommend this book if you like time travel stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lindsey’s life sucks at the moment, she in a dead end job working her rear off, being paid next to nothing when her boss seems to pay her, she is trying to help save the home her mother bought that is a ruin and sucking all their money then she turns up in 1300 Scotland. She doesnt freak out but she is determined to prove the innocents of a man and convince him to hid a stone where her mother will find to save her home. Full of adventure, sneaking into enemy territory and a romance forged over the journey. Love the story.
Imagine being in the middle of reading about a Highlander accused of murder in the 1300’s and the next thing you know, you find yourself back in time meeting that very same Highlander! Lindsey decides to stay long enough in the past to help Tavish prove his innocence by helping him steal back the sacred stone belonging to his clan that had been stolen years before. For 10 long years he had been an outcast, not being able to go back to his clan unless he’d get that stone. It doesn’t take long before Lindsey and Tavish develop feelings for each other and Lindsey must make the decision to stay or return home where her mother is waiting. I really enjoyed this clean time travel romance story and look forward to reading more books by this author.
