The only common trait among the victims: a new man in their life who also vanished, leaving behind no evidence of his existence . . . except for one signature custom.
Drex is convinced that these women have been murdered, and that the man he knows as Weston Graham is the sociopath responsible. This is Drex’s one chance to outfox his cunning nemesis before he murders again and eludes justice forever. But first he must determine if the desirable Talia is a heartless accomplice . . . or the next victim.

Sandra Brown writes an interesting book, I really enjoyed this book!!
FBI agent Drex Easton’s obsession is tracking down a conman who marries rich women, then becomes a wealthy widower soon after. He’s a master of disguises, and soon disappears, only to pop up again several years later under a new identity. Drex is convinced his illusive archenemy not only marries for money, but is also a serial killer who orchestrates his wives’ “fatal accidents.” But proving it is next to impossible. The target, currently known as Jasper Ford, is smart, attractive, and charming. He’s recently married Talia Shafer, a wealthy, much younger business woman. Drex moves into a garage apartment next door, and strikes up a friendship with the couple. Things get even more complicated because of Drex’s attraction to Talia. But due to circumstances, it’s hard to tell if Talia is Jasper’s next victim, or his accomplice.
This complex mystery kept me guessing throughout. Combining a plethora of interesting characters and plot twists galore, Sandra Brown has once again created a suspenseful thriller that will keep you guessing until its satisfying ending. Great story.

Sandra Brown OUTFOX
FBI Agent Drex Easton is driven to outfox a conman known as Weston Graham, a man so mysterious has assumed multiple identities. Graham is known to have lured eight wealthy women not only of their fortunes but also their mysterious disappearances. Each of these wealthy women all had a new beau who vanishes into thin air leaving no trace except for a new suspect that just might fit the profile.
This is my first Sandra Brown book and I am a fan of her work. She writes an intelligent cat and mouse story that is sexy, captivating, complex and intriguing to me as a reader that I cannot turn those pages fast enough. Brown really built up the plot and I enjoyed the characters in this story. I highly recommend this amazing read from the brilliant Sandra Brown.
Some twists &turns along the way.
Tense, twisty, and suspenseful!
Outfox is a well-executed, tortuous tale that introduces us to the handsome, driven FBI agent Drex Easton as he heads out on a hunt for his mother’s murderer and a predator who’s been preying on single, rich women for more than thirty years.
The writing is tight and intense. The characters are secretive, cunning, and tenacious. And the plot is a cat-and-mouse game full of twists, turns, deception, friendship, desire, temptation, attraction, danger, romance, violence, and murder.
Sandra Brown is the best-selling author of more than sixty novels, and with this new release, it’s easy to see why. Outfox is a clever, action-packed page-turner that is complex, entertaining, and extremely satisfying.
Good read
I follow this author
Great who did it book. It was a bit repetitive in spots but page Turner in many parts with real twists at the end.
Drex Easton is working undercover to track the serial killer that murdered his mother, Lyndsay Cummings. He believes the man Weston Graham, aka Daniel Knolls, aka Jasper Ford is the murderer, and he will do whatever he can to bring him down. When he and his teammates, Gif and Mike track Ford (his current alias) to Charleston, Drex pretends to be an author working on a novel. He manages to rent a garage apartment next to Ford and his wife, Talia Shafer. Naturally, Talia is a beauty and Drex is immediately taken with her. When Talia and Jasper’s friend, Elaine, is found murdered, the stakes climb higher.
This is a tale of tracking a serial killer with a bit of romance thrown in, the romance happens in all Brown’s novels.
Not too heavy, not too dark, but a satisfying thriller with some sexy romance scenes.

Anything Sandra Brown writes is guaranteed great read!!
Hard to put this one down!
Sandra brown is always a good read. Not her best–but still good.
Fairly good mystery with the author holding just enough back to surprise the reader, but a bit to graphic (smutty) for my tastes.
I listened to the Audio CD version. The narrator’s lisp really detracted from my enjoyment; too distracting. With all the vocal talent out there, I really wonder why this narrator was chosen.
I can always depend on Sandra Brown to write an intriguing mystery.
OUTFOX came very close to earning the coveted 5 stars, but did not quite make it. The latter part of chapter 40, the last one, spoiled things a bit; although it did answer a question I had. I felt that some of Drex’s backstory didn’t fit with what had happened earlier in the book, or I failed to see the signs. One thing bothered me throughout the whole novel and was never addressed: why Talia, a successful and well-off businesswoman, had married Jasper, a man twenty-eight years her senior. She didn’t have any discernable emotional or psychological issues and I never got the impression that she had ever loved him; it seemed Talia was married to Jasper merely as a plot requirement to make OUTFOX a romantic suspense. Also I could have done without most of the mushy stuff, particularly the sex scenes, and I felt most of the epilogue was not really necessary. Unfortunately, the the novel sputtered a bit towards the end and it was not due to a convoluted resolution.
OUTFOX is overall a terrific thriller; there are no plot holes that I could find regarding the hunt for the psychopathic killer; the characters are well developed – except for those abovementioned details. The writing is excellent, the story flows well, and many chapters ended in a way that had me reading just one more chapter. The secondary characters are interesting and add to the overall texture of the story, the villain is credible, and the dialogues ring true.
Sandra Brown is such a fabulous writer I wish she’d stick to straightforward thrillers and forego the romantic aspect, or tone it down a bit, as most of the problems I had with the novel came from that aspect.
Great book
I always read a new Sandra Brown and I am glad I read this one. The book wasn’t as twisty as some before, but it kept my attention and I was hooked. The last twist I did not see coming though. I wasn’t sure what to think of Talia but despised Jasper pretty early on. I knew he was a creep upon meeting him. I liked the romance between Drex and Talia, but would have liked it more if she wasn’t married, even if he was a creep.
Is Jasper a dedicated husband focused on his wife or a sophisticated playboy growing bored with his brief marriage?
Is Talia a woman longing for a child with her husband or a wife falling in love outside her marriage vows?
Is Drex an FBI agent on the hunt for a serial killer or a con man on the make?
Is anyone who they say they are? In this fast-paced game of cat and mouse, you think you know until you don’t. Or maybe you do.
When the tables turn the game changes. What you don’t know can kill you. What you do know may not can save you.
This is Ms. Brown’s ‘edgiest’ book yet as she takes another step (in a long series of steps) away from the traditional romance of her earliest works to romantic suspense to more suspense than romance. If you like your romance prettily done, this book is not for you. If you want it gripping and real, along with your mystery, I recommend without reservation. I found Outfox to be a 5-star read, riveting and chilling.
It was by far a great read that I couldn’t put down. Drex Eaton and Talia chemistry is off the charts, and the final twist left me screaming.
