She’s a modern woman. He’s a blast from the past. Can their love survive the test of time… and war?
Adventure reporter Melanie “Mel” Morton tackles current events, not historical retellings. But that all changes when a WWII veteran tracks her down and seeks her help in saving her gold-star grandfather’s life… by traveling back in time.
For Mel, the stakes keep rising until she finds herself on … until she finds herself on her grandfather’s fateful final mission. Shot down behind enemy lines, Mel and Jack Hamilton, the now-young and handsome pilot, must navigate the occupied French countryside and their generational differences. With her grandfather’s life and her future on the line, Mel and Jack can’t afford the distraction of their undeniable chemistry. Failure to complete their mission could get them killed, or worse, change the course of history.
Out of Time is a riveting time travel romance adventure novel. If you like explosive chemistry, rapid-fire action, and accurate depictions of the Second World War, then you’ll love Pauline Baird Jones’ homage to the Greatest Generation.

Narrator’s overall voice –
Becky Boyd has a lovely voice with a slight twang to it. Her talent lies in the various voices she uses for the characters. There’s a distinct difference between them and I found her voice soothing. It was easy to get carried away into the story.

My Rating: 5+ stars
Great time travel into WWII. Action packed romance. Little nerve racking being stuck behind enemy lines in occupied France. Don’t know if there is a book two to this one but there should be. Apparently there were other time travelers that were not revealed. Really loved this book. Not only about WWII bombers but also about family.
One of the best time travel books I’ve read. !!!! The time period was very relatable and she obviously did her research with people of that era. Really made you feel you were with the flight crew on a bombing run. She didn’t get all carried away with sexual feelings between the two main characters. Kept the course of the purpose of the story. I was very impressed with her writing from beginning to end the book!! Look forward to reading more of her work
Wish she would write a follow up of these characters
I enjoyed the historic element and the fantasy.
Out of Time may be my new favorite time travel novel. I love the time period, (WWll), the people and their fight to survive, romance, the danger, and the intrigue. Pure Epic! The hero is dashing and determined to succeed. The heroine is tough, trained, and capable. Together they find love and the will to defeat an enemy bigger than life and just as terrifying. The history of the time period is accurate and detailed with a degree of precision not often found in time travel romances. Excellent!
Very good. one needs to suspend belief, but it’s a great story combing time travel and WW2 – two of my favourites.
