One impassioned argument. One dominating kiss. One unexpected moment that turns everything upside down. And that’s only the opening act.Rockstar Braxton Hunte is the type of chaos that makes your soul burn… Well, maybe he does—he’s never encountered a riff he couldn’t handle, a treasure he couldn’t score, or a woman he couldn’t conquer. No one, especially not a buttoned-down rule-follower like the band’s new tour accountant, is going to change him.
Accountant Sara Anderson is an unabashed stickler for the rules…
Sara’s worked nine long years to make partner, and only one thing stands between her and her goal—Hunte. Now she’s going on their tour to whip the band into financial shape. So long as she gets them out of the red, the promotion will be hers. Those bad boys of rock will be tamed, no matter how yummy their lead singer is.
When rebellion confronts discipline, fireworks explode.
Passions collide, and lives are permanently altered, in this enemies-to-lovers, slow burn standalone romance set in the mid-1990s—when grunge ruled the airwaves and women partners were as uncommon as those new mobile phones.

I loved this story and couldn’t put this book down. Brax is the sexy rockstar, he’s gorgeous, he’s sweet and he’s angry. Sara has been assigned as his tour accountant and her handling of his bands expenses is aggravating to say the least. Sara is a beautiful control freak and he’s not letting her have her way. At least he’s not until he really stops to look at her and stops seeing her as Ms Prissy. This story is sexy, hot, and mostly it’s romantic. I love their journey and everything he does to make himself better for her. This is a series and instead of writing about the other band members, the author writes about the now grown children. I of cause was a little disappointed because I wanted to read about Lex and Colton. I give this book five very well deserved stars and recommend it highly.
OUT OF THE RED is book 1 in the “Hunte Family Series” and I will be adding the series to my TBR list.
This is a classic rock star romance set in the 90s as big hair bands were being eclipsed by the next genre of music.
If you opened this book and didn’t quite get into it at first, give it a shot. I did and I am so glad I did.
Brax is the rock star – Sara the tour accountant. We get to watch the ins and outs of their relationship development as this story is told in a dual POV. It is one of 2 “rock star romance” stories I read this month and i really enjoyed it. The story flows well, the emotions are clear and the references to the 1990’s was a bit of realism that took me back to a time before social media was the main way people communicated.

Starts with Sara working at a accounting firm and hoping to make partner but she has to go on tour with the client Hunte to make them stay on a budget. This is how she meets the lead singer Braxton Hunte. I enjoyed reading what happens and recommend this book!!!!!
