Arielle Jackman grew up as an Army brat—and then she became an Army wife. Now she’s widowed and looking for something she’s never had… roots. Back in her favorite Texas town, she’s teaching middle-schoolers, and since she and her husband never had any, she considers them all her kids. But the evenings are lonely, and Arielle’s wondering if she should get out and make some friends. Then friendship … friendship finds her again, in the form of an old childhood acquaintance, Cavanagh Wraggs.
Known as a weapon of mass destruction for the Ranger Ops team, Cav is always neck-deep in danger. He hates admitting that he’s struggling to deal with the stresses of the position, especially after a strike goes sideways—and he’s responsible. As a way to take his mind off things, he volunteers at a park cleanup program, but finds another distraction in a very sexy Ms. Jackman as she bends over to pick up trash. Talk about hot for teacher. Then he recognizes the big soft brown eyes of the girl he once knew and is instantly hooked.
As things heat up and Arielle begins to let go of her past, she’s smacked in the face to learn the sweet-talkin’ muscled man is part of a special ops team. Her heart can’t take the military life a second time around, especially knowing how it could end. Now Cav is facing some harsh choices—lose the job and team he loves or the woman who makes him happier than he’s ever imagined. Maybe, just maybe, he can find a way to keep it all.

This is the first ops book I’ve read by Em Petrova. I loved how she showed emotion and forgiveness of ourselves and being able to love after loss. I will definitely be reading more of her books. Great book!

Arielle Jackson, army brat, military widow and teacher is looking for roots and has returned to her middle school home of Rose, Texas. The last thing Arielle is looking for is another military romance as she struggles to get over the loss of her husband to combat.
Cavinagh Wraggs, Ranger Ops member, bomb diffuser and sexy play boy is watching his team mates marry and settle down. The last thing Cav is looking for is love and commitment, he is a one night stand kind of guy.
Cav and Arielle meet while volunteering at a park clean up. They recognize each other as their old crushes from junior high. Instant chemistry challenges each of them to reconsider their lack of commitment issues.
The story is full of danger and mystery, steamy scenes and building friendships and overcoming their fears..
Great story! This is number six of the Ranger Ops series. Each is a stand alone book but the characters and humor throughout the series makes this a must read series from book one to book six.

I enjoy the Ranger Ops series just as much as the Knight Ops series.
This book was fast paced with a good amount of action and suspense. There was Also a bit of mystery while Cav and the other members of Ranger Ops worked to find the bomber.
Arielle and Cav provided many steamy, sexy scenes. I did like that there was some conflict as Arielle worked through whether or not she could be in a relationship with Cav.
My imagination ran away on me with this book. With each call out for the team, I had construed this whole conspiracy designed to throw the Rangers off track. Luckily, I didn’t write the book.
Cav and Arielle ultimately overcome their fears to reach their HEA to the delight of the team and their partners.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received via Booksprout.
Cav was a player who just slept with women and moved on to the next one, but he runs into a girl from middle school and their chemistry is explosive until Arielle realizes he’s military like her deceased husband and she doesn’t know if she can live a life with that uncertainty again. Cav and the rest of the Ranger Ops have plenty of suspenseful moments going after bad guys in this one and in particular bomb makers and that suspense is upped when Arielle’s life is on the line. I liked that Arielle and the girlfriends and wives of the Ranger Ops formed their own support group.
This was a great book about how Arielle has to over come a lot of past fears and hearts to learn to love again. Cav also has to overcome somethings to find his happy ending. I look forward to reading more from this author.

The choices we make.
Cavanagh is a weapon of mass destruction. Meaning, he’s an explosives expert in the military.
Arielle was an army brat and then a military widow. Now a teacher she’s flirting with Cav, but she can’t put her heart out there again. Been there done that, repeat.
For both of them, it’s the choices they make that will define them.oh, and plenty of steam.

Arielle and Cavanaugh went to school together. He always remembered her beautiful eyes. Arielle was a Army brat and moved around. She decided to become a middle school teacher and move back to a small town in Texas. Cav makes a decision that kills two people so he is assigned to a therapist. The therapist suggests he give back to the community and ends up going to help at the community park. This was well written, has wonderful characters and the storyline kept me intrigued.
Arielle is a school teacher and a widow of a military man. Cavanagh (Cav) is a member of the Ranger Ops team, he is an expert at diffusing explosive devices. Cav and Arielle new eachother years ago. When they run into eachother at a park cleanup sparks fly.
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written with great characters and an interesting storyline. Arielle and Can had great chemistry were both likable characters. The story was well-developed with action, suspense, romance and love.

This is book 6 in this series. This is cav and arielles story. Arielle has had enough of the military life. Will cav choose his job or arielle or can he figure out a way to have both?

Arielle was an Army brat, then an Army wife. She’s widowed now, with no children, a teacher, and she keeps herself super busy so she doesn’t have time to think about her grief. Cav is in special forces ops, with all the danger that’s entailed. They knew each other in middle school, then meet again at a park cleanup. They rekindle their friendship, and he tries to move toward a relationship, but she can’t do it again. Well, her head says to protect her heart, but her heart wants to be with him. Holy hotness! These two are just explosive (pun intended) together. Sarah is a terrific friend, helping to keep Arielle grounded when she’s worried about Cav, or thinking about running away. This is my first book from this author, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, other than I know her books get great reviews. I’m looking forward to more from her.

This is a well written book with strong characters and an interesting story line. The author brings tons of emotions, action and suspense and brings it to life with her detailed scenes. The story moves fluidly and had me glued to the pages from start to finish. I loved and highly recommend this book.

I received an ARC Copy of this book through BookSprout and I voluntarily chose to review it. I am a big fan of Em Petrova every book I have read by her has been a winner. This one fits that bill. The story is well written and the character are wonderful. This was a quick easy read for me. I would encourage everyone to get this book, it is worth your time and effort. A wonderful story!!!!
Explosive end…
I have enjoyed every book in this series. Cav’s story is no exception. As the bomb expert of the Ranger Ops, you know his story would be “explosive” and it was. Arielle and he were perfect together. I hate to say goodbye to this series but what a way to end.

This is the final story in the ranger ops series and like all the rest it flowed well had a great tory and the characters drew you in
Arielle was an arm,y brat and the only place she ever felt at home was when they lived in Rose, Texas but soon they moved again now she is all grown up and she has returned to Rose to teach at the school she attended. Cav is the last member of the ranger ops who hasn’t found his one true love and he has no intention of falling for anyone When he is advised by his therapist who he has to see after a mission goes wrong to volunteer he heads to local park clean up to help There he meets Arielle a girl he remembers from school and who he had a crush on when he was younger. The attraction is still there and they start to see one another. As there relationship develops Arielle ignores the warning signs because after losing her army husband she has sworn never to love a military man again but is it to late to save her heart. Can they have a future together You will have to read to see
This author never disappoints, I love this series.
Arielle is a widow and vows never to fall for a military man again….until Cav comes back into her life. Old childhood acquaintances who were too young to act on a crush find instant attraction. These characters had great chemistry and it was wonderful to touch base with known characters from other book. An action packed, steamy read with heart stopping moments. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sixth book in the series. Lots of action and drama to keep you interested and turning the pages. A standalone story but I recommend reading the others first because there will be spoilers in this one. Steamy romance only adds to the plot.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. The team is called out on missions but the story line is how Cav and Arielle find love. Arielle has to deal with her personal struggle and gets the support from the rest of the teams wife’s and girlfriends along with Cav. A great series to get hooked on.
“Out of Range” (Ranger Ops Book 6) by Em Petrova is a fantastic read. I loved Cav and Arielle’s story. This is a terrific addition to this series, packed with romance, passion, action, hot military lawmen, entertaining characters, close friends, and more. I hope we’ll see more of these characters in the future. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, military, lawmen, entertaining characters, and series.
Loved this book the characters are amazingly well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly from start to finish.

This is book six in the Ranger Ops series. I loved this book! It’s steamy, with enough action and emotions to keep you turning the pages. The characters were likeable, and the storyline was really good. You can read this book as a standalone, but you will get some spoilers for the first five books because all six of the guys in the Rangers Ops are close like brothers and their girlfriends/wives are brought into the fold. It was a great series.
Cavanagh “Cav” Wraggs is the last single guy in the Ranger Ops group. He’s watches each of his brothers find someone and fall in love. He meets Arielle when he does some volunteer work after a mission goes sideways. He and Arielle know each other from middle school but they both moved away. Arielle is an Army brat and a widow. Her husband dies in Iraq. She moved back home to Rose, TX. Cav and Arielle are both attracted to each other and even though Cav’s a serious player who has been happy to jump from woman to woman never sticking for more than a night, he starts to think that Arielle may just be the one that sticks. She’s different and he’s finding he wants to be around her for more than just a one-night stand, but she doesn’t want a military man or anyone with a job as dangerous as Cavs because she’s afraid of losing someone the way she lost her husband. Cav is an explosives expert and his team is trying to find the person who keeps leaving bombs around town. Can Cav convince her that a relationship with him would be worth it?
