Greyson Ratcliffe. I met him at sixteen, the hot new guy sitting on my jetty, an aspiring artist just passing through. He was my first kiss and my first love. I wanted forever with him. I didn’t even get a year.Five years later, I’m a budding writer who scripts stories of love and struggle, the good and the bad and the ups and the downs. He’s a star on the rise—his wicked talent and crazy good … crazy good looks have his face plastered on countless magazines. We move in two different worlds and still our paths cross again. We’re older and wiser and as crazy about each other as we had been as teenagers.
My medium is words and my imagination is limitless, but not even I could have written the incredible journey we traveled to reach our happily-ever-after. Life isn’t like fiction, and the greatest love stories don’t follow a script.
Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

An epic love story that blew my mind away!
He made my body sing, but it was my heart he was touching, branding and claiming even as it was breaking.
This is the kind of story that pull at your heartstrings, make your heart ache in the best way and fall deeply in love with the characters,so much so that you feel everything they do.You live through their lives. You feel their feelings, their hopes, their love, their pain, everything.
My chest ached, like someone was driving stakes into it,but then it should hurt like hell when a dream dies.I waited, knew what she was seeing, knew how it was going to break her.I was breaking along with her.
Heartwrenching, angsty and captivating,Our Unscripted Story is a beautiful love story that stole my heart.
This is one story that will stay engraved in my heart forever!
This book broke my heart; put it together and then broke it again into a billion pieces before slowly picking those pieces back up. L.A. Fiore did an amazing job in making this story grab me from her very first words until the last words in the book. This wasn’t y our typical love story; this was a story about loss, pain and the sacrifices one endures because of love. Alexis and Greyson’s story is one that is forever engraved in my heart. From the very beginning of this story Alexis encountered heartache after heartache finding solace in her own words by writing; writing stories to escape the reality of what life was. Greyson, also suffering loss early in his life, found solace through his paintings. It was amazing to witness the friendship between Alexis and Greyson and how their love developed. I loved how each of them knew they had to sacrifice their love in order to pursue their goals. My heart was ripped out so many times throughout this story and there were times that I had to pause to comfort myself.
In this story we now only witness the amazing love between two people but the love on how strangers become friends and then family. This is one of those books that you will want to read over and over and each time you’ll take away something different. Thank you L.A. Fiore for this wonderful work of art and for reminding us that the greatest love stories are always unscripted.
Our Unscripted Story by L.A. Fiore is the story of Greyson and Alexis.
This stars with watching Alexis go through her life from an early time jumping through different parts of her life. We see her meeting Greyson when he was the new kid in town. Go forward to her making of her life. We then see Greyson and Alexis meeting up again in a different point in their lives. Alexis had been giving a hard life even though it started with love but sadly it took a bad turn. Greyson was a great main character but Alexis was the one that stole at the heart strings. This was a really great second chance at love!
This book hooked you in from the start an hard to put down.
I’m a true sucker for a second chance romance and Our Unscripted Story was one of the best that I’ve ever read. At first we’re introduced to young Alexis, whose life started out amidst hardship. Armed with her imagination and a family of friends, her life was going to be whatever she made it. An almost-meeting at her favorite place in town had her setting her eyes on Greyson and it was love at first sight for both of them. This simple encounter laid the foundation for an epic love story that spanned decades.
I loved everything about these characters. They had so much depth to them that they felt like people I would have in my real life. This author always finds a way to give her books a sense of sincerity that speaks to me each and every time. Alexis, even when she was young, had a level of maturity that belied her age. She was humble, talented, ambitious, understanding, compassionate, and extremely loving. For someone who didn’t experience a lot of love in the beginning, her capacity to love was outstanding. Greyson was also a sweetheart. His love and devotion to Alexis was something to be envied. Every time he spoke, I heard his Irish lilt. And he really was magical. He was sensitive, funny, and extremely kind-hearted.
Don’t even get me started on the side characters. From Greyson’s grandfather, to the twins (Dylan and Dominic), to the beautiful family that Paige and Grant created, Fiore did an excellent job of bringing these people to life. I adored them all and they each played almost as much of an integral role in this story as the main characters did. The author didn’t waste one moment of this book on frivolity or filler. Each segment gave me a genuine sense of rightness with this story and I couldn’t get enough. Whether I was basking in the pleasure of first love/last love or dwelling in the anguish built up from the bits of angst introduced, I read this book in a state of wonder.
I’ll say it again, Liz is one of my favorite authors of all time because everything she writes is gold. I cannot recommend her books enough to people. Her stories are honest, emotional journeys that need to be taken by everyone. Our Unscripted Story is a complex, heartfelt, touching, and sensual work of art that teaches the reader about love, life, forgiveness, family, and the beauty of second chances.
Final Score – 5 #AllTheFeels Stars!!!
Omg… this book! I’ve been shredded, gutted, broken into tiny shards of glass. I need some time to get my thoughts together to write a review … Ok. I’m back & ready. Here we go:
From the Prologue until it’s bittersweet end, I was hooked. Every page that I turned, my heart seemed to tear and shred. It was gut-wrenching! There were times that I didn’t want to go on, but I sucked it up and continued, cause I’m no quitter. As the story unfolded, the tears to my heart were patched up and glued together as I become more engrossed by Alexis’ domineer, her candidness and her strength of character. She has had life fail her at every turn, but has come out to be one of the most loved and happy characters I’ve ever read.
I truly believe L.A. Fiore is genius not only with her words, but how she uses them to shape her stories into real life situations. Hands down, if I ever see another ARC from her, I’m signing up & then immediately heading into the local grocery store to stock up on tissues. It’s money well spent to be so enamored of brand of story-telling. This book spans decades in one persons life and I have never felt more like I’ve been apart of the story. It just flows and you never feel as if you are missing anything, however small detail there is.
The book was well though out. The most beautiful take away I have from this story is that family is more than biology. It’s the people we welcome into our lives, who stick around with us, laugh & cry with us, make us feel valued and important – that is what makes a family. This story will stay with me for a long time to come.
Let me just start by saying WOW!!! Our Unscripted Story had all the feels, and they started right from the beginning. LA Fiore has a very special gift of making her books, and her characters stay with you for a very long time. I loved Alexis and Greyson, and their love story was an epic one, and you get to see it from the very beginning, watch it grow, develop into something so very special. They also had some obstacles to overcome, but what couple doesn’t? I am going to stop now because I just don’t feel equipped to form the words that this story deserves and it deserves nothing but the best!!! I am totally recommending this book, you need to read this book!!! I love LA Fiore, and can’t wait for whatever comes next!!!
***5 ‘Love Looked Back’ Stars***.
This book grabbed hold of my heart from the first words and did all kinds of crazy things to it as this epic love story unfolded. My heart ended up being pulled in so many directions it was crazy, it got all kinds swoony and twitterpated, it hurt so much it broke and at one point it wanted to grab a 2×4 and smack some sense into people. With this plethora of feels going on, it also had the effect of making me all kinds of teary ~ and it didn’t matter if it was because the situation was all kinds of swoon worthy or frustrating ~ water wanted to come out of my eyes (It was quite distressing since I was at work). But that was the effect this book, these characters ~ ALL of the characters ~ had on me and despite this strange onslaught of feels, I’d go through it all over again in a heartbeat.
I adored Alexis. This girl is strength personified because despite the hand fate has dealt her she still finds the goodness in it and shares it with those around her. But what I loved about her was how real she was. She was sweet and sassy and awkward and confident all at the same time and she owned it all and it was amazing.
Greyson. This guy has serious book boyfriend mojo going on. He was all kinds of sweet, flirty and yet had that alpha edge that drew you to him. He owned himself and was confident in who he was, but it never came off as him being full of himself. There was an openess in all that he did and I loved how he saw the world around him and those who inhabited it.
As I said in the beginning, this is an epic love story, from their first collision through the ups and downs of their life choices, as well as those that others brought about, to their ultimate HEA, it was absolutely obvious that they were meant for each other. The swoons were real when they were together, they flowed so well together that it was easy to get lost in them and watch as their connection grew stronger. Of course there are bumps, some are huge, some aren’t, but they happen and Alexis and Greyson navigate around and through them and get an amazing HEA in the end.
But no epic love story could be complete without the help of others and this book has an amazing supporting cast of characters. I can’t just pick one favorite, I can easily pick the ones I didn’t like. But regardless of my feelings towards them, they were all well written and really brought depth to the world and insight into who Alexis and Greyson really were and who they would eventually become.
I could go on and on, and into even more detail, about all that this book has to offer, but I’m going to cut myself off before spoilery stuff happens. Our Unscripted Story is simply everything you could want in a romance and more.

I don’t know where to start… I love this book starting with the cover that grabbed my attention the minute I saw it… it fits the story so well! The story is sweet young love, I rooted for them from the beginning, Greyson and Alexis didn’t disappoint. Despite their time apart, they get to be together in the end and their story is emotional. sweet, some sad moments too and with twists that kept me listening. Great secondary characters added to the story, the twins, Greyson’s grandfather are among my fave. I hope the twins get their story told too. – 5 stars
What made the story even better was the pairing of Ms. Marks and Mr. Shedlock, their voice bringing the story to life so vividly I could not stop listening. The accents, the emotions are well done. – 5 stars
THIS BOOK!!!! I read it “blind” so wasn’t sure what it was about when I started to read. It was FANTASTIC.
Lots of characters but each has a specific purpose in the book. The story is about art – the written word, the sculpted, painted sketched art and the art of story telling. The story IS art. I could not go to bed until I finished this book.
There is not one thing I didn’t like about it. I would give it 27 stars if I could.
This is my first time reading a story written by this author and let me tell you I was by far impressed with the intensity of this story. The blurb is what attracted me to wanting to read this 5 star story.
When Alexis sees Greyson for the first time, she has a whole HEA mapped out in her head. Being raised in a foster home with only a picture of her biological parents she turns to creative writing. A very creative mind attracts Greyson, a senior. Greyson is only staying long enough to finish high school and then he’s off being an artist. A love that will last a few decades, until they can finally get their HEA.
A beautifully written that captured me from the first page read to the very last one. It was an highly captivating love story about 2 people destined to be together. It was quite an entertaining story that never had a dull moment. There was always something happening that kept me solely focused of this amazing read.
Standalone told in dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
Our Unscripted Story is about that one true love story that starts with first love and end as a forever love. I know when I start to read an L.A. Fiore book that I am going to need tissues because every emotion is going to be exposed in her books.
The unscripted story of Grayson and Alexis is about two souls that just fit together and never let go of each other; no matter what life throws at them. From the very beginning you will be hooked and gutted by what happens; then you will be so in love with these characters that you won’t be able to put this book down. By the end, you will feel like you just lived through the greatest love story ever.
This might be L.A. Fiore best book to date, but I would say that after every book she writes. Her writing just flows from page to page, leaving you always wanting more and in a book coma.
Every lover of romance books NEEDS to read this book.
5 TRUE LOVE STARS!! This is an EPIC true love story. The feels in this story are everything from love to hate and everything in between, it will keep you turning page. Do you Believe in love at first sight you need to read Greyson and Alexis’s story, it is beautiful. L.A. Fiore has written one of the best true love stories I have ever read. This is the first book I have read by this author and I can’t wait to read more by her. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book via NetGalley.
Our Unscripted Story by L.A. Fiore is a beautifully written love story between Alexis and Greyson. It spans many years, from first meeting and falling for each other at 16 and 18. They have young love and think it will last forever. Of course, things come up and forever is not as long as they had hoped for.
5 years down the road, they meet up again and the sparks fly…again. Can they make their forever last the test of time this time around? This book has so many emotions running through it. L.A. does an amazing job of introducing you to her characters and having you get to know them. I was extremely impressed with her writing ability and the way it feels as if she is right there with you as you are learning about the characters. This is one of the books that will be added to my best books of 2018. I went through all of my emotions reading this book and enjoyed every moment of it. I love when a writer can make you feel that strongly about her characters!
I was given an ARC for my honest review.
One of the most emotional and amazing books I’ve read of late. Page after page as I read this story I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster zooming towards a climactic ending. The book is wonderfully written with characters will touch your heart and become a part of you. From the moment you meet Alexis and Greyson their story will captivate you. The storyline flows flawlessly from the time Alexis is a youngster living with horrendous foster parents, through her teens where she meets Greyson and onward through adulthood. Their story isn’t perfect, at times it is sad and gut wrenching.
The authors wondrous story telling ability had me feeling every emotion these two went through right along with them. I found myself laughing, crying and sighing more times than I could count. The highs had me beaming and the lows broke my heart but I loved every minute of the journey. A journey that I highly recommend reading, you won’t be sorry you did.
Being the second book by L.A. that I have read, I can honest to goodness say that, she has a forever fan. I have never read a book that flows so well, Yes this book spans a couple of decades and there are three parts, but going from one part to another did not leave me feeling as if it just stopped and she picked up and threw words together to get the book finished. It was very well plotted, and there was a consistency to the words of the story that make it feel not rushed, but a steady flow. I have never read a story more beautiful. I felt the words on the pages flow to my heart and take root there. This is a heart felt, love of all love story that will stay with you for a life time.
From Page one I was hooked. The prologue gutted me. I literally felt my heart being ripped to shreds, but oh so steadily being put together as I turned page after page, chapter after chapter, part after part, until L.A. gave the most deserving ending to this story. This story will make you feel every emotion that each character goes through, but I GUARANTEE you, that every emotion you go through, you will never feel an emotion as strong as a love like this, pouring deep into your soul from a beautiful story like this. I honest to goodness don’t think I have ever read a book that made me feel a love like this. You know what, in fact I know I have not. So for that, I tip my hat off to you L.A.
I am not going to say much in the way of Alexis and Greyson for the simple fact that this is a story that is more than deserving of your full attention. Alexis and Greyson deserve to tell their story, in their own words for you to better understand why each choice is the one they make rather than someone spoil it. Besides that, I couldn’t even put into words what needs to be said. So go in blindsided, go in with an open heart and let yourself feel the emotions that both Alex and Greyson fell. It is worth that and more. Our Unscripted Story is beautiful, it is raw and just so deserving. Just do yourself a favor and buy this book, you will not regret it.
This book has made it to my list of all time favorite books. It was simply amazing. It is a must read. It was beautiful. The story made me laugh, swoon and bawl my eyes out. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and this author.

A year ago, I discovered one of my favorite authors, with Devil You Know (Lost Boys #1). I loved every single book that came after.
Once again, L.A. Fiore delivered a beautiful and heartbreaking love story.
My heart swooned, laughed, but also bleed.
I loved Alexis, and laughed so hard at her “internal rantings”, and Greyson’s humor, too…
I don’t know how the author does it, but this story was, like her previous books, the perfect balance of humor, tenderness, angst, sexiness, and with some hints of mystery.
The supporting characters were excellent too, the way they created this wonderful family that isn’t given to us by blood, but by choice.
And the way this story was built, through the years, the double POV, it was very interesting, and maybe that was why the pace felt so perfect to me.
Alexis and Greyson’s story felt sometimes like a modern and lovely fairy tale, with sweet and romantic moments, but we also had passion, lust, and angst. There was room for some History too, with family legends, castles and lost treasures, so this book was an amazing mix (and a big rollercoaster) of emotions.
It was romantic, angsty, tragic, funny, and even magical, I love every bit of their love story, even the saddest and darkest parts.
So, if you’re still new to L.A. Fiore, grab this book, you’re about to fall in love with her writing ad her stories.
If you’re already a fan, well, you’ll devour this book and live all kinds of emotions.
Your heart can brace itself, but it’s worth it.
I can’t wait for her next books, Demon You Love (Lost Boys #2), and the next book in the Shipwreck series!

Rating: 4.5 Stars
Loved that the author has a Playlist at the beginning of the book. This gives you the chance to get your music ready before you start reading. What’s also nice is that this story is told in parts, which helps when you need to find the perfect spot to stop. It’s also like reading a miniseries because of the way the story is divided.
Alexis Owens hasn’t had a happy childhood. She reminds us how uncomfortable high school can be – especially for those who don’t seem to fit in. Having never been in the foster system, I can’t say that I understand how she feels but that doesn’t mean that my heart won’t hurt for her. I’m sure that there are a lot of children that actually do understand though. And we can see how awkward high school crushes can be.
Greyson Ratcliff might have met someone he wants to take a chance on. He’s the good-looking new guy that all the girls want to get to know. If you think of how it was when you were in school, all the guys probably want to hate him. But he’s a surprising character because he doesn’t do what’s expected.
As a reader you almost get a sense of being on the outside looking in. Like we’re watching something that’s very private. But if we don’t keep reading than how will we ever know. It’s a very personal story that we’re invited to watch as it unfolds. If you ever had a high school sweetheart than you may understand a lot of what the main characters are feeling. There’s a lot to this story so don’t go in expecting that it will only take a couple of hours. The author keeps things interesting so you won’t mind the length. Everything moves smoothly so time will just seem to disappear. It was nice to see a story that came full circle so you get that sense of a happy ending – you couldn’t ask for a better Epilogue.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I adore this story so much. Young first love stories are a favourite of mine, art imitating life and all that, so this book ticked the boxes for me but this story is so much more too.
Alexis and Greyson were perfect, their love was perfect but sadly life isn’t. They meet as teenagers and fall in love but Greyson has plans for his life and ambition for his art that forces him to move on leaving Alexis to find her own path too.
Poor Alexis life has been hard for her leaving her to find solace in her own mind creating stories of a better life that lead to her becoming an author. However Alexis is one of the loveliest bubbly characters you could read, her sense of humour makes her a joy to read when she could of been full of doom. She is full of ambition for her writing as she watches Greysons success from afar.
Greyson is a swoon worthy character and despite finding the fame he wanted for his art he hasn’t forgot his first love.
However as they say the path to love doesn’t run smoothly and this is true for Alexis and Greyson as this beautifully written emotional story spans 20 years during which their paths cross often until they find the right path together. I have to mention the secondary characters in this book as I loved all of them and what they brought to the story too.
This is a wonderful read that you won’t want to put down and I recommend tissues because I was blubbering in the first chapters and through most of the book. One you need to add to your TBR list.
This book is amazing from the very beginning it had me hooked. I cried, I laughed, I cried again, it really is a roller coaster of emotions. The characters are all amazing. Grayson and Alexis are amazing, strong and creative and so perfect together, but it is the family that they find along the way that truely captured my love. Paige and Grant were Alexis’ anchors and Dylan and Dominic added much need comedic relief. All the characters in this book are great and the story has it all love, suspense, tragedy, heartache, joy and more. I didn’t want to put it down. This is the first book I have read by this author but I will definitely be looking for more.
