I made a mistake.
A huge mistake.
I knew I shouldn’t have left.
The town.
My life.
Him… back in my hometown.
Back in the same place as Nick.
Working for the same damn hospital.
What are the odds?
The universe has pushed us back into a forbidden relationship.
Right in the middle of a crisis.
A lawsuit.
Well, it’s a good thing I’m an attorney.
I can make it go away in a second.
But what about the crisis that I have no control over?
Nick got me pregnant.
The last thing I wanted was an accidental pregnancy.
But could it be the only thing we both need?
Ajme Williams brings you a full-length second chance medical romance with lots of drama, angst, heat, a very sweet HEA and no cliff-hanger. ‘Our Last Chance’ is a part of the Heart of Hope series but stands alone. Books do not have to be read in order.

I discovered Ajme Williams’ books in a giveaway and I got caught in how profound her characters were. Now in this second-chance, brother’s best friend love story, she created again wonderful, emotional characters with good and bad days that fell in love and made everything in their hands to be together. What I loved the more is that even her support characters are as intense and complex as the MCs. Adding up an interesting plot and what you got is this wonderful book. I can wait to read book 2!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Another couple, another family and another town to fall in love with. I had never read anything written by this author, butshe will be in my top 5 authors. Her characters are well written, and the storyline runs true, for most part. (You know you don’t want to read a story about normal people in normal situations, do you?)
Mia is a lawyer form a small town that always wanted to practice in a large, metropolitan town.
Nick Foster was her brother, Eli’s, BFF growing up. Their plans had been to become doctors and set up a practice in their small hometown, where they both still live. Nick’s dream had come true, college, med school and now an ER doctor. Eli hadn’t been as lucky. College had worked but he hadn’t been accepted at Stanford, while Nick had. Even though Eli had been accepted at UC Davis his last set of grades made the them change their ind. Now, he ran the family business.
Four years ago, Mia and Nick had been in love, until Eli discovered their affair and had lost it. In time, this also broke them apart. Now, Mia is back in town. Her mother had died, and her father’s Parkinson’s Disease is getting worse. Eli had called her and said he needed help here. She gets a job at the only hospital in town as their lawyer. She finds out her predecessor had been fired for having a relationship with an employee . . . I guess getting caught in an ambulance in a compromising position wasn’t a good idea.
If she doesn’t watch herself, this same thing could happen to her since she still loves Nick.
