Amanda Quick/Jayne Anne Krentz/Jayne Castle are always on my must have list!
I love Amanda Quick under ALL of the pen names she uses!
I find that her early historical romances – pretty much after she got out of the stock-type books and wrote something longer than 200 pages – had some of The Best Heroines.
They didn’t just have glasses as a hideous cross to bear.
As a Princess.
Nope.
Ms. Quick went all out!
Over 25. Highly intelligent. Copper penny hair. Small bossum. Often to make up for that, a lush bottom. Passionate about a specific topic, but moldering out in the English countryside without the funds to get to a metropolis.
Not destitute.
Determined!
With a heroine like that, what do we need with a hero?
Go and pick up any of Amanda Quick’s collection of Historical Romances which she named using only 1 word – ie. Dangerous, Scandal, Obsession…
You will never regret it!
This is vintage Krenz–OOPS! I mean Quick. It is an open secret that this author is really Jayne Ann Krenz, especially since she has a habit of linking her books together using the descendants and simiiar plots in more modern settings as the story progresses. A little paranormal to go with the historical romantic suspense.
I loved it.I ‘ve read all her books and loved all of them .this one is as good as the rest.
Love Amanda Quick’s strong leading ladies and she weaves mystery and romance of the sexiest kind ~
I’m especially hooked on Amanda Quick books. Cleverly written and good plots.

This author is one of my favorites. I always look forward to reading her books. She delivers in this book a delightful adventure with characters that are fun to read
Love Amanda Quick novels. They have rich characters, strong female leads depicting women truly ahead of their times, and suspenseful plots. I snatch them up every time I find a deal so I can read them over and over.
I have always enjoyed Krentz no matter what name she is using at the moment. This is one of her 19th century mysteries and very enjoyable. Pick an afternoon when you won’t be disturbed, kick back and have fun old London.
A bit predictable but predictably good– it’s Amanda Quick. A good read.
Have always enjoyed the Amanda Quick books. The characters are easy to relate to and I find that I care about what happens to them.
Amanda Quick has done it again. Her story just grabs you and you can’t let go until you have finished the book.
This author no matter what name she writes under never fails to entertain or enchant me.
I really liked it. It was quirky with the mystery in the middle of it. The conclusion of the first part of the mystery made sense, the second part less so. In the ultimate game of cat and mouse, I felt the criminal mastermind was seriously underdeveloped and I couldn’t quite fathom his motives. I liked all the main characters and it had strong supporting characters in it. Overall I good read.
A fun Victorian romance featuring a plucky, resourceful heroine and a geeky, but appealing, male lead. Lots of plot twists and turns make for an entertaining romp.
Like all Amanda Quick books, this one is entertaining and fun. She is a wonderful writer!
It’s actually been a while, but I love Amanda Quick. I recommend anything she writes.
