Interesting about orphan trains and the very sad time in history in our nation.
Great story about how the orphans lives were in that era.
I really enjoyed this book.
very good educational story. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks Rachel!
I loved this book and my husband did too. That is very unusual.
The story Line is good but the writing is a little slow.
Loved it!
not what i expected
what a wonderful book to open my eyes to the trials and tragedies of orphan children . Although I know we as a country have improved on the orphan situation I am sure we have a long way to go to make sure all children get a better life.
I am sure many events could have happened. It is a time of our country we have not heard much about. This was a good book.
I enjoyed it. Eye opener about the orphan trains not all being happy ever after. I ended up getting all 4 of the orphan train novels.
This is one of a trilogy. I loved the book. Unfortunately when I went to buy the next two books on Amazon I kept getting error messages that my device Kindle and Lindle on IPhone were not supported to purchase and download the books. I called and wrote to Amazon but their fixes have not worked. This is a wonderful story and I am most anxious to complete the series
The book was well written. The unfolding events were easy to imagine in my minds eye.
I enjoyed this book about children who had been on the orphan train and the reasons they had become orphans. The family bonds and the friendships were inspiring. Great read!
This was a very poorly written book. The author used the term “to die for” which I don’t think was in general use during the time period. At one point, the character’s names were mixed up. I wouldn’t be interested in reading other books in the series.
Obviously NOT a stand alone. First chapter had so many names of people who didn’t fit that I got confused and quit reading.
AMazing look at third world treatment of orphans
I enjoyed this book.
Sad situations but inspirational characters
Excellently written story. Told about a time in our country that I knew nothing about. Very informative & entertaining.
