This story of the children sent on the Orphan Trains to the west to be adopted because they were either orphaned or parents could no longer take care of them for a reason is very interesting as a part of our country’s history.
It is a sad tale based in fact and I only know a small part of the history but will now do some research regarding the exploits of some of the children. Not all found a better life.
I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more of our country.
