The #1 New York Times Bestseller (October 2017) from the author of The Da Vinci Code. Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology, arrives at the ultramodern Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to attend the unveiling of a discovery that “will change the face of science forever.” The evening’s host is Edmond Kirsch, a forty-year-old billionaire and futurist, and one of Langdon’s first students. But the … Langdon’s first students.
But the meticulously orchestrated evening suddenly erupts into chaos, and Kirsch’s precious discovery teeters on the brink of being lost forever. Facing an imminent threat, Langdon is forced to flee. With him is Ambra Vidal, the elegant museum director who worked with Kirsch. They travel to Barcelona on a perilous quest to locate a cryptic password that will unlock Kirsch’s secret.
Navigating the dark corridors of hidden history and extreme religion, Langdon and Vidal must evade an enemy whose all-knowing power seems to emanate from Spain’s Royal Palace. They uncover clues that ultimately bring them face-to-face with Kirsch’s shocking discovery…and the breathtaking truth that has long eluded us.

Not as good as even Inferno. Definitely not on par with DaVinci Code.
Dan Brown never disappoints!
As expected a very good read. I love Mr Brown’s books ! I can never predict the outcome, which makes me reading for hours until the very end!
I love Dan Brown, especially the Robert Langdon series, but Origin just fell a little flat. Brown took Langdon in a different kind of direction which was refreshing but some of what we love most about his adventures were somewhat lost in this story. It is still a good read, its just not on the same level as the rest in the series.
This book was just okay for me. It’s certainly no Angels & Demons or The DaVinci Code. I’m iffy on recommending it. It’s just okay for me, not great.
Dan Brown at his best!
Dan Brown is a great writer. I couldn’t put this book down.
Had trouble reading this one in the series. I’ll give it another try one day.
One of the things that I love about Brown’s books is the description of the places where his stories develop, and this book doesn’t come short on that part. Although the author’s conclusion is still debatable, I loved his hypothesis and founded very intriguing and plausible at least.
Enjoy this book for what it is a great novel with charismatic characters and a good writing.
My least favorite Dan Brown book. I am forcing myself to finish it.
Clever and very entertaining.
Interesting, but not as interesting as his previous books… I do agree with the supposition that physics is the more likely creator than the god myth.
It’s informative and action packed with a easy style of description….
Typical Dan Brown page turner, and unsettling because it is so plausible.
Ending a little weak
Dan Brown’s books are all the same story just different settings. I loved reading his first book, enjoyed his second, got board by the third.
If you’ve read and liked Dan Brown, you’ll like this one. I found the ending a bit disappointing, and found it less worldly than “Lost Symbol”, but it was good. Not my top 3 from Dan Brown, but a good read.
A great book by a great Author a typical Dan Brown Thriller. Always wondering whats next and where the story is going.
Tedious. Best character is the AI.
Another incredible Dan Brown book that I couldn’t put down!
