The #1 New York Times Bestseller (October 2017) from the author of The Da Vinci Code. Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology, arrives at the ultramodern Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to attend the unveiling of a discovery that “will change the face of science forever.” The evening’s host is Edmond Kirsch, a forty-year-old billionaire and futurist, and one of Langdon’s first students. But the … Langdon’s first students.
But the meticulously orchestrated evening suddenly erupts into chaos, and Kirsch’s precious discovery teeters on the brink of being lost forever. Facing an imminent threat, Langdon is forced to flee. With him is Ambra Vidal, the elegant museum director who worked with Kirsch. They travel to Barcelona on a perilous quest to locate a cryptic password that will unlock Kirsch’s secret.
Navigating the dark corridors of hidden history and extreme religion, Langdon and Vidal must evade an enemy whose all-knowing power seems to emanate from Spain’s Royal Palace. They uncover clues that ultimately bring them face-to-face with Kirsch’s shocking discovery…and the breathtaking truth that has long eluded us.

Like Dan Brown’s other books, there is a great plot with lots of unexpected twists and turns!
Although not as good as Di Vinci Code, it was better than Angels and Demons. Still a strong read.
Not quite the same kind of book as his Da Vinci, Inferno and Angels and Demons. The story just doesn’t have the “grab you” has his others. Glad I read it – but….
Not his best effort!
This is a cannot put it down book.
Not one of Dan Brown’s best, but an interesting premise. I felt that some parts were contrived, and there were far fewer tense moments than usual. Still, always a pleasure to meet Robert Langdon again and the book is a page turner that I read very quickly. I would recommend, but dont expect another Davinci Code or Angels and Demons!
Not as good as Brown’s other books in this series.
not as good as his other novels
Another good read from Dan Brown. Unpredictable. I loved it!
Suspenseful to the end. Great historical detail and location information. What a surprise!
Dan Brown always includes accurate information in his novels. Origin is deeply engaging, thoughtful and entertaining.
Brown took it to a new level. DaVinci Code plus something in this one.
I’ve always enjoyed Dan Brown’s books. I feel like this one didn’t have the same depth as The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons. I’m not sure if it is because I enjoy the religious aspect of those books. I did love the overall ‘moral’ of the story, and think that is the most powerful piece to the entire book. We CAN be united as a society. I had a lot of questions about the book that were left unanswered.
Always enjoy Brown books, this is a good one to read and follow along with the series with the professor.
The thing that will jump out to anyone, is how anti-Catholic Dan Brown is. It’s a good read, as long as you keep in mind, this author does not like the Catholic Church!
Love these novels, Robert Langdon comes alive and since I end up researching subjects and places mentioned in the book I inevitably learn a lot.
I enjoyed this book, but not as much as his previous books.
Typical Dan Brown….makes you think what if? Or maybe? Fun read, enjoyed it.
I was very disappointed. I was half way through the book before anything was happening.
This book will keep you on the edge – you can see it unfolding in 3-D! The characters are well-developed and the story line is just AWESOME! Dan Brown does it again!
