While it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, the book contained a lot of good suggestions and was a good motivator to get organized.
A very good story of a woman transforming her life for more happiness and how her family gets through it with her. I found it inspirational for decluttering but not a silver bullet for the problem.
Redundant. You have to search hard to find tips.
I did not find it useful for me. The tips were not plentiful and expanded on enough.
Good if you want to read a story about how someone changed her career and life
I was expecting a how-to guide, but it was more of a story of one woman’s journey to change her life. It was an entertaining read, though.
From the title I expected a how to book on organizing a home. Instead, the book focused on the author’s challenges to get out of her teaching job into one that would better fit who she is at this time. Helpful in this way, but unexpected.
NOT WHAT i EXPECTED
Great inspiration for purging.
This is not a guide to organizing your home and office. It is a book written by a woman who started a successful organization business and is her story about how she developed and implemented a plan to quit her current job, which she found to be uninspiring and not suited to her talents, and start a business which enabled her to capitalize on her true talents. Honestly written and easy to read, this book is thought-provoking, but not at all what I expected.
I would not recommend this book. Not enough info on organizing or getting rid of clutter.
Not what I was looking for, this book was relating her journey of self-exploration to the life she chose, but I was looking for steps to organizing my stuff. Not a bad book, just not my cup of tea.
This woman hated her job for ten years and finally made a change. That’s great. The sad part is that for ten years she taught first grade and I feel badly for those children whose interest and excitement about school may have been diminished because of their teacher. At that, I stopped at chapter four because all the lady did was whine about how she hated her job. I don’t know at what point you finally learn any practical tips. It’s hard to believe this book was a best seller. It was a complete waste of time and money.
Did not enjoy this, perhaps it is my generation. I am not a hoarder, so it was uninformative.
Not what I expected. Did not finish
I found the stream-of-consciousness tone of the book to be very boring and distracting. I wanted good guidelines to organizing, but I was turned off by the lengthy recounting of the details of her life.
Not what I was expecting. Autobiography, rather than practical organizational tips.
