Engaging Murder Mystery!
Brenda, Mac and the entire town of Sweetfern are looking forward to an amazing evening of entertainment from the world famous Linz Orchestra. Unfortunately they get more than what they expected – excellent music but with a murderous finale. Wonderfully written with heartwarming characters, twists, suspense, and intriguing drama. The ending was abrupt and felt a bit unfinished but overall a very entertaining read. Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review.

Detective Mac and Brenda Rivers are expecting the world famous Linz Orchestra to their Sheffield Bed and Breakfast for a concert scheduled by their friend, William Pendleton.George Carpenter, the violinist and his wife, Judith, have put together an exceptional orchestra. The conductor is Colin Hughes. Charlotte de Gray, a world renowned flutist is having an affair with George and her personal assistant, Andy Fuller. This is the first trip Judith has made with the troupe just so she can keep eyes on George. Oliver Lister plays te trombones and Dinah Ford plays the harp.
The practices were wonderful. Guests were coming from far and wide. The orchestra had free time to look around Sweetfern Harbor and enjoy themselves. After Charlotte’s first solo she falls to the stage frothing at the mouth and having seizures. Within seconds she is dead. There are many suspects when it is determined that she was poisoned.
This is another great story by Wendy Meadows. There are several twists and turns that will keep you guessing. I received an advanced copy. This is my honest review.

Another good book in the series, but the ending was just so quick. Things felt unfinished. I love this series, but there could have been so much more added to the story that would have continued the great track it was on.

This is the 17th book in this series. It is as good as the other 16. A series as long as this should tell you how great Wendy Meadow’s writing is. We all keep buying her books and asking for another!

In this one, Brenda and Mac host an orchestra of some renown. The most popular flutist is the one in everyone’s sights. All of the men want her and the women hate her. When she is killed in a horrible manner in front of her fans, Brenda and Mac have to figure out who did it.

Everyone was excited to hear that William got the Linz Orchestra to come play in town. Especially Brenda because it all was going to take place at Sheffield’s. Some really famous and big names are in the group. William gave Brenda a profile on each person so they knew what to expect and how to serve them all. Of course there were rumors floating around about romance drama and secrets within the company. They seem to center around their star flutist Charlotte De Grey. Which had the other women and men jealous.
Everything was going well until someone was murdered in a way the was so shocking in front of everyone.
Now it’s up to Brenda and Mac to find out the motive and make sure justice is served in a big way.
This was a good quick read. I admit it didn’t have the usual intrigue and suspense that I’m used to reading from this series. Nothing really stood out for me. It just seemed typical.

Brenda is anticipating the arrival of orchestra members to her Sheffield Bed and Breakfast. These talented musicians have complicated lives and when a shocking murder takes place, there are many suspects with motives. Orchestrated Murder had me involved from the beginning and I enjoy the relationship between Brenda and Mac.

I never go wrong with this author as I am a big fan and she has never let me down. This is the 17th of 17 books according to Amazon and that is sad as I love Brenda and the gang solving murders in Sweetfern Harbor. This author also writes books I trust where characters do not behave like animals and have sex on the first date or use foul language. I spent 20 years in the military with a lot of men and I had enough of that (witnessed) to last a lifetime or two. Many thanks to Ms. Meadows for this awesome series.

Brenda Sheffield and friends are back in this 17th mystery from Sweetfern Harbor. This time the orchestra has come to town and several members stay at the B & B. Follow Brenda and her friends as they try and solve the murder. This one does have a different ending than the others,, but all in all, it is a great cozy read. The characters a well developed, and one cannot help but fall in love with the quaint little seaside town.

To the delight of everyone, the famous Linz Orchestra will be coming to stay at the Sheffield Bed & Breakfast in the small town of Sweetfern Harbor. But apparently they have brought along their romantic intrigues and bitter betrayals to cast a pall on the excitement. At the intermission that evening, Charlotte de Grey, an up-and-coming flutist whose first solo had been perfect, asked Andy for a glass of lemonade. Then she asked if he could get her a small petit four while she sipped at a cup of green tea before the performance resumed.
As the orchestra came back on stage and Charlotte is performing her second solo, she collapses with convulsions and dies from poison in front of everyone! In the investigation, it is discovered she was also pregnant at the time of her death. Having had many relationships with various members of the orchestra, both single and married, one of whom unexpectedly had his wife with him, it may be difficult to narrow down which of the possible suspects might have murdered her!
This mystery had a good story line. Every time I thought I knew what was going on, it took another twist and I wasn’t sure again. Great characters and intriguing story kept the reader guessing. Grab your copy and enjoy!
This was an ok read. I didn’t really bond with any of the characters. The mystery was ok but pretty simple. I’m not sorry I read it but I don’t know that I will continue reading this series.

Look out when the orchestra comes to town!
Getting a load of professional musicians together wreaks havoc at the lovely B&B the orchestra is scheduled to play at. Add to that a flutist who can play the flute impeccably but has no ability to discern appropriate behaviour and you have a recipe for disaster. Filled with angst and jealousy, this story will make a person rethink making rash or foolish decisions. The ending left too many unanswered questions, though, which the author normally never does.
Orchestrated Murder is another Sweetfern Harbor Mystery series by Wendy Meadows, is an enjoyable read. It has a great blending of murder and suspense with a touch humor. It is easy to jump right into the story and get to know these well developed characters. Trying to figure out who the murderer is, along with the intrigue and suspense make this a good entertaining mystery.

An orchestra is a lot like a small village, with its hierarchies, favorites, privileged players who hold mysterious power or popularity- and oh the jealousies!
When the famous Linz orchestra comes to Sweetfern Harbor to play, and to the Sheffield B and B to stay, new excitement and power plays ensue.
Popularity does not preserve the life or the reputation of all members of the orchestra however.
Mac and Brenda work together with their employees, guests and friends to restore the carefree spirit of the Sheffield Bed and Breakfast, and to give the Linz orchestra a chance for some second chances and new beginnings.
