Ana Winters was an ordinary high school student until the headaches started. With their arrival come the visions, strange dreams, and the ability to burst into flames. Lost and confused, she doesn’t know where to turn or who to trust. She thought she could always rely on her best friend Kellin James. But when the new guy Calix Night shows up at school, she finds herself the subject of their … subject of their rivalry. It isn’t until Calix saves her from an army of shadowy, supernatural creatures that things begin to make sense.
Calix relates to her a tale of a magical kingdom so eerily familiar that Ana can’t shake it. One thing is for sure, Ana is running out of time, and she needs to figure out who she can trust. Are Calix and Kellin really who they say they are? Secrets are revealed, and a choice must be made. One that could cost Ana everything— including herself.

Oracle by K.G. Reuss is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series for me to read and I can not wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

Wow…….what a book. The story is stunning with down to earth characters that make you want to delve into their stories until you have devoured the entire thing in one sitting. I am now hooked on this authors work
The book was hands down amazing! Nothing is as it 1st seems.
Ana is a normal teenage girl but is she? Beautiful but never really have dated much and has a huge crush on guy friend Kellin. He is dating the queen B of the school who is horrible to Ana because everyone can tell Kellin has feelings for Ana as well.
The closer it gets to Ana’s 18th bday the more her powers started to come out. Freaking out she tries to hide it. To make things worst the hot sexy new guy Calix just knows how to push her buttons.
When things start getting pretty bad Ana only has Calix to turn to. But he is holding a secret of his own.
Want Fae, magic and other worlds? Slow burn dark romance? Then read this book!
Just be prepared for the ending!!!
I was given an arc copy but all opinions are my own

A prophecy foretold. Ana has loved her best friend Kellen since they met four years ago, but he sees her only as a friend and he has a girlfriend who is mean and spiteful and hates Ana. But this is her last year in highschool and soon she can escape to college and never have to be around these people ever again. Then a new student named Calix starts. He’s hot, snarky, full of himself, but seems to want to help her when the people around her attack her. As she grows closer to him Kellen starts acting differently towards her. He hints that he has feelings for her and then he betrays her. Now the only one she can count on is Calix but what she doesn’t know is that her entire life has been a lie and she is part of a prophecy. And factions she never knew about have different interest in her. To save her, use her, or kill her. And which factions do Kellen and Calix belong to? ONE OUTSTANDING JOURNEY!!!
Fickle fae! Reuss doesn’t hesitate to lay it all on the line, bringing all the tears, cheers, heartache, revelations, humor and hard choices aplenty, rounding out the frills and feels, wrapping it up and letting it fly. Eliminating the lines and crushing boundaries, limitations are stretched and manipulated, blazing a path, booting it into overdrive, slamming this baby into a frenzy with astonishing results. Surprising happenstance and unsettling mishaps, swirl with the formidable trials and challenging tribulations, spinning alongside the deadly twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces, drawing them closer than they could have ever imagined. Braided, bound and entangled, imparting the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it’s simplicity and awe-inspiring in it’s depth. Gratification rocks this little treasure, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, riding roughshod and imparting one block busting dynamo, fusing this little jewel together piece by piece. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and depictions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Incredible job Reuss, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
I like what I have read so far. A promising storyline, something I love reading. High school angst in a paranormal setting. Very nice!

It’s dark. It’s angsty. It’s soulful. I have no words to describe this book. It’s all I love in a paranormal story and more. If you’re familiar with K.G. Reuss’s books, you know what I’m talking about. Amazing characters, excellent storyline, unexpected plot twists and a flawless narrative. The ending left me hanging (of course it did, it’s a cliffhanger) and I’m breathlessly waiting for the next book in the series!

Ana and the guys are interesting characters and not your normal high school kids. Oracle is book one in The Chronicles of Winterset series and it is an intriguing story with paranormal twists. I look forward to reading the next book to find out where this series takes us.
Dark, deep and thrilling this book keeps you guessing till a great extent. However some things are easily guessed, some connections quite apparent while others totally blind sight you.
This book ends at a cliff hanger of sorts.
Looking forward to book 2.

***4.5***
With this book, I am lost in what to say other than wow, I really liked the book and want to read the next one since this one left off on a big cliffhanger. All I can really say is that Ana was really naive and really blind especially when everything was in front her that could have helped her except she refused open her eyes and communicate with the right people. Yet the same time book sucked me in and I just couldn’t put it down.

Ana began having strange dreams and she could summon fire to her hands. She realized that she was from another realm. But was Calix or Kellin the one who could save her from Zaros? Good read!

It sounded interesting but the two main guys were not as likeable in the beginning. I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
I really enjoyed this book. Can’t wait to the next book.
Spoilers ahead. This was a great book, and you’ll hate every character at one point or another, except Mel, she’s the bomb. I really want to learn more about Winterset, it seems like the politics over there are a bitch. It’s interesting in how we sometimes cling so hard to what we already know that we don’t see the bigger picture, Ana was pretty much like that the whole book, considering she has visions and all, ignorance is not bliss. I loved Calix, hated Kellin, Mel is a blast. Also Mortae is the best, I liked him better than Callix tbh, and considering they’re the same person that says a lot about how good the writting was in terms of keeping them close yet very far apart. I’m looking forward to book 2 and Winterset.

Oracle, book one in The Cronicles of Winterset.
Ana, the good girl. The uptight and shy girl. The girl who has a crush on one of her best friends, Kellin.
Enter Calix, the dark haired, mysterious and dangerous boy. Who captives Ana’s thoughts and feelings.
“Never, ever, sacrifice what you want for what is expected of you. You’re better than that, Princess. Doing what everyone else wants and what’s expected will make you live a lite that isn’t yours, and you deserve to have everything you want.”
Something is happening to Ana. She’s starting to have weird dreams and seeing things…in the mirror. She feels she has to keep her distance from everyone…she doesn’t trust herself around others.
“-Ana, understand when I say we are all a little dark on the inside. Just because I saved your life doesn’t make me a saint. In fact, it makes me the worst kind of hero.”
I think it’s well written, full of angst, secrets and heartaches!
I highly recommend this book if you like mystery, specially supernatural mystery!
“-I’d breathe my own life into you, Ana. That’s how much I want you to live.”
