Jetty Beach is such a hotbed of memories, I avoid it as much as possible. Whenever I go home, no matter where I look, I see him.I see Hunter. He left me ten years ago, when we were barely eighteen, disappearing to join the Marines without a word. And I never heard from him again. Now, after a messy divorce, I’m stuck staying with my brother, surrounded by reminders of the one man I can’t forget. … one man I can’t forget.
And suddenly, he’s here.
He’s home, and more gorgeous than I remember. Bigger, stronger, more experienced—in all the right ways. My body wants to trust him, but my heart’s been broken too many times. Once by him.
No matter how relentlessly he pursues me, I’m afraid to give him a second chance.
Afraid I’ll lose my heart to him, and he’ll keep it forever.
Must Be Home is a sexy love story with a HEA. It contains explicit language written for a mature audience. If you’re ready for Hunter to steal your heart, go ahead and buy.
The Jetty Beach Romances are all stand-alone, full length novels with interconnecting characters that you come to love. They can be read independently, but are most fun read in order.

I love the series 5 through 7 also in a jetty Beach series all of my family’s books I love every series you write
Emma is freshly divorced and done with men. When she is forced to leave her apartment for a week so they can exterminate for bugs the only person she thinks to call is her brother, Gabriel. But how she despises Jetty Beach and all the memories!
Hunter spent most of his childhood at the Jacobsens. First because his mom was working 2 jobs and then when she contracted cancer which eventually killer her. They practically raised him along with their own sons, Cody and Riley. He finally asked if he could come back home after leaving without a word 9 years ago. Leaving the Marines with a medical discharge he was finally ready to go home and face his past.
I love this book and meeting new people in Jetty Beach along with those already met. You’ve gotta love Clover (if you haven’t read Messy Perfect Love you have to!) and her crazy ideas! Hunter is this huge tatted Marine with a soft heart determined to complete his mission. This book is definitely a tear jerker, but not in a heartbreaking way. Can’t wait to finish the series and see who is next to fall in love. Highly recommend Claire Kingsley!
Hunter Hayes walked away 10 years ago without a word and Emma Parker is still not over him. Now they are both back in Jetty Beach. Seeing him brings back all that hurt to the surface. He wants to make amends but she couldn’t be more averse. Slow but steady wins the race which is in his favor. But, a complication puts the brakes on any further progress. He’s made a commitment that unless she’s all in for their relationship then he has to bow out. Talk about shocked! It takes an unexpected event to get her to see what’s she’s really missing out on or what could be.
Hunter is a former marine who has had some challenges. Luckily for him, the Jacobsen family took him in as their own. Emma is just divorced and finding her way. I loved that Hunter knew right away that he still loved Emma and wanted her back yet recognized that she was not ready for a relationship. I love his plan to win her over regardless of how long it would take. I really liked that Emma could still see the good in Hunter and gave him a bit of a chance. I really liked it when she let him all the way into her heart for a solid second chance. The setting of Jetty Beach is still wonderful. The Jacobsen family is amazing. I especially enjoyed the humorous scenes with Clover and Hunter. She is such a nut and so good for those guys. I really loved Hunter’s heart. Beneath that tough exterior and bad experiences is a soft and tender soul that melted me.
Home is Where the Heart Is
Who says you can’t come back home again? Not the characters of our favorite fictional town of Jetty Beach I tell you!!
Hunter and Emma! I couldn’t wait for their story, but it was worth it! A second chance at love, what’s not to like?!
Hunter is amazing. After graduating high school, he left home without a word to conquer his inner demons. It broke Emma’s heart, but he thought he was doing what was best for her and for the family that took him in.
Emma always thought Hunter left because of her and carried that pain with her for years…
These two deserved a second chance at love more than anyone. Hunter, understanding the mistakes he made in the past, proved to be the man Emma needs, wants, and loves. He never stopped loving her in all those years he spent away from her. I truly admire the man he became–loyal, trustworthy, caring. I know he should have shared that “special” secret with Emma, and he also should have explained from the get-go why he left years ago, but I understood WHY he didn’t…and Emma, she’s strong and kind, but forgiving. Some may say too forgiving, too soon, but she never stopped loving Hunter either.
This town just continues to produce perfectly flawed, lovable heroes and sassy, but sweet and just as lovable heroines! It really makes you want to purchase some real estate in this cozy, little town!!
Home is where the heart is, and apparently, that’s in Jetty Beach–with each other!
