LAKE STARLIGHT BUZZ WHEELPRESS RELEASE: Rumor around town is a certain matriarch of the Bailey family is having a BIG BIRTHDAY! It’s even spurred a few of the Bailey kids to return home to celebrate with their beloved great-grandmother, Dori. In fact, now that there are twenty-six Bailey great-grandchildren the event is going to be overflowing with laughter and love. Also… I heard that Piper … Piper & Rayne have been speaking to some of the kids (i.e. Calista, Maverick, Easton, Brinley and Palmer) and so we’re getting some special POV’s. I can’t wait to report my findings the day after the party!

This was such a great book that caught us up with all of the Bailey children and their families while celebrating Grandma Dori’s birthday!
I loved how the author let us know how everyone was doing and then let us in and what was happening with a few of the grandchildren as well!
There were definitely a few updates that I know will have us involved with the Greene family!!
So glad for this book!
This was a fun addition to the Bailey’s series. Loved that we got to hear from the kids point of view. Dori and Ethel are still up their shenanigans so that will keep you laughing. Light, easy read when you just need to smile.
What a great idea to have Dori’s birthday as the last of this series. Grandma Dori is the foundation for the Bailey family, and of course the fairy godmother making matches for her grandchildren.
I love how at 90 she is still quirky and a master at wrapping the younger Baileys around her little finger.
Had a tear in my eye from reading the thoughts from some of the great grandchildren’s perspective. After reading this I have the urge to start from book 1 again
What a way to wrap things up and segway into the story of The Greene family. Dori is an amazing character, the glue to this family, and she did such a great job looking out for all of them. They are her HEA, and I don’t think she could be happier than to see all of them happy and thriving. We all need a little bit of G-Ma D in our lives.
I am nuts for this entire series. Great introduction to the next generation. Hoping it continues!

Operation Bailey Birthday (OBB throughout)is a bittersweet ending to the much beloved Bailey series by authors Piper Rayne. I knew when I cracked the cover it would feel like leaving good friends and I wasn’t wrong.
Grandma Dori is turning 90 and she’s orchestrating her “surprise” party with military precision, you know IF someone were to throw a party. Sure, she’s choosing her own cake and the music but more than that she’s just ensuring all her loved ones, including her massive amounts of great-grand kids are all in attendance. The gifts will be nice but as a person who lost her husband and her child too early, she knows that the presence of those who love you is all that really matters. Plus this gives her another opportunity to meddle in the love lives of her kid’s kids and well life just wouldn’t be worth it without that!
I loved this bittersweet ending to the series but I’m so happy we’ll see the Bailey’s again. This book perfectly sets up the series for Ethel’s grandkids and it’s good to know these matchmaking grandmas will ride again! Fantastic series!

Operation Bailey Birthday was the final novella in the Bailey’s series by the authors Piper Rayne.
I loved everything about it. The focus was on Grandma Dory’s 90th Birthday while highlighting every great grandchild. The authors had their work cut out for them with nine grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren, but they succeeded in providing a variety of POV’s to clearly paint the picture in every Bailey household. And true to form, there was plenty of humor and drama, in that order! It was the best ending to the series and hopefully a peak into a future spin legacy spin off series! There are way too many cool Bailey cousins to stop now!
But in the meantime, the authors also set the stage for the next spin off series for Grandma Dory’s BFF, Ethel’s grandchildren’s stories in the Greene series. And it looks like the first up may be Rylan Greene and Calista Bailey in My Beautiful Nemesis. I totally can’t wait!
The Baileys, has this series really come to an end? Yes .. no, maybe? Honestly, I’m not entirely sure. With the last novella from this series, it was a pleasant surprise to see the chapters from the great-grandkids! Yep, all from the kiddos and I sure did love it.
I loved catching up with all the Baileys and not going to lie, it left me wanting so much more. It definitely seemed like some easter eggs were dropped for possible stories to come, they sure like to tease with unlimited possibilities.
AND, it looks like we get a little insight with their spin-off series of sorts with The Greene Family.
Piper and Rayne gave us a family that we’d just want to hold onto forever and ever! It didn’t quite feel like good-bye, but definitely a farewell … for now. They left things very open-ended and always room for more.
I can’t wait to meet the Greenes and see a bit of the Baileys in that upcoming series.

This book was seriously bittersweet to read as the series came to an end. We get to see the Bailey grandkids as they have now grown up, and are at all sorts of ages. In this Novella we get to see the gang in Lake Starlight come together to celebrate Grandma Dory’s 90’th birthday. Now this was awesome getting to hear from the kids but I beg you Piper Rayne for the love of all that is holy write the kids books cause I need to see their love stories just as much as I needed their parents. Once again they hit the nail on the head, and gave us an extra dose of this group. I seriously am still swooning. That is all, be sure to add this to your GoodReads lists please and thank you!
I have loved this series since the first Lake Starlight Buzz Wheel release. I enjoyed getting to know the great-grandkids in the days leading to Grandma D’s birthday and I can see the potential of more books to come.
What a perfect way to end The Bailey’s but beginning The Greene’s. As always Piper Rayne’s writing was on point and will be leaving you needing more
I was super excited to read this one. It’s a short quick read. It’s Grandma Dori’s birthday and all the Baileys are back in town to celebrate. While the other books in the series dealt with Dori’s grandchild in this one we get the POVs of some of her great-grandchildren. There are a lot of great-grandchildren and I honestly lost track of each couples’ kids so I was glad that at the beginning of the chapters it tells you who POV it is, their age, and who their parents are. I have loved the Bailey family since book one and I loved this one too.
Operation Bailey Birthday caught us up with our favorite family. Everyone is there for Grandma’s birthday, and of course Grandma is pulling strings. I missed this family more than I realized. The best part is Operation Bailey Birthday isn’t centered around one person. We hear from multiple and I was here for it. If you love the Bailey’s do yourself a favor and one-click this now.

Operation Bailey Birthday is the conclusion to the Bailey series. It’s and entertaining, emotional, sweet, humorous and heartwarming story featuring the Bailey clan.
Told from the point of view of Dori’s great children this story is a glimpse into the future and shows the affection the Bailey’s have for each other.
I look forward to the Greene family series next.
What a great way to go out…sort of.
What a nice ending to a series…sort of.
Yep, that about covers Operation Bailey Birthday: A Bailey Novella. Piper Rayne has always kept me laughing with this family and riveted with their antics, issues, adventures and resolves. But with such a large family there are bound to be new issues that arise. And those issues will have you understanding what I discovered. What is that? The Baileys really never go away.
I could not help but laugh at the antics of a birthday that was not going to happen…sort of. And in the end, it all came together as only Piper Rayne can do. Great job ladies.
4.5 Stars
It was such an amazing trip back to Lake Starlight to celebrate Grandma Dori’s birthday in Operation Bailey Birthday. It was truly heartwarming to see the entire Bailey family again. It has expanded to include 26 grandkids in total. Each little chapter was told by one of the great-grandchildren that we saw growing up. It was refreshing to see the couples, siblings, and cousins stayed so close-knitted in their children’s POV. The whole novella was filled with love and family. I laughed, cried and swooned as I enjoyed each little snapshot of the Bailey family. Grandma D and her sidekick Ethel meddled one last time to prove that they still had it.
After nine books and three novellas, the Baileys had firmly embedded themselves into my heart. It was a bittersweet ending to this amazing series. Luckily, the author is not done with Alaska and promised cameo appearances in their upcoming new series.
I volunteered to provide an honest review of an advance complimentary copy of this book.
This was the perfect ending to this fabulous series! I feel hard for this family through their stories and cannot help feel a part of them in some way. Grandma Dori, gosh bless her beautiful soul! She has a way with her family and it shows how much she loves and adores each and every one of them and vice versa.
I enjoyed how we got different POVs from the grandchildren. I am sooo looking forward to the spin off series that we got a glimpse of. Although this may be the last book in the series they will never be forgotten.
My heart hurt a little while reading this book its like saying goodbye to your family. I adore all of these characters and I loved that Dori had so many people who loved her. She is the grandma we all wish we had. She puts aside her own pain to help all of her family members any possible way that she can. Her sass is everything. This ending is bittersweet but also beautiful. These talented authors brought everything full circle and I can’t wait to see what new worlds they create for us in the future.
When the Bailey’s series finishes, I wasn’t ready to see it end. It has felt a little like watching my own family grow up. I have loved watching them all fall in love and get married and have babies. But I have especially loved G’ma Dori and Ethel conspire and plot and plan. They were hilarious and I am really looking forward to the next series where they turn their eyes to Ethel’s family.
In this one we got the points of view of a handful of G’ma Dori’s great-grandchildren. And through that we saw the planning of her 90th birthday party and of course caught up with the goings on of all the family.
It was great, light-hearted, sweet fun. I could not have been happier. It really felt like it closed off the Bailey series in such a perfect way and at least we all know we can go back and visit any time we need.
Operation Bailey Birthday is bittersweet for me. I had tears because I’m so sad for this series to end, but I am excited for the spinoff series as well! Piper Rayne are some of my favorite authors and I would recommend any of their books! It was short but oh so sweet and worth it. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc, but I loved it so much I purchased my own copy.
This was a great ending to The Baileys series! I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
Each chapter was a different POV, so it was a little disconcerting; I got used to one person, and then we went into someone else’s head. But overall I enjoyed the different voices, seeing their lives play out for a short while. I’d honestly love books for all the great-grandkids, but that wouldn’t be realistic. Grandma Dori was a legend, and I can’t wait to see her pop up in the next series, which will feature her BFF Ethel’s family! I highly recommend this series; the small town/big family vibe was perfection.
