My professor gave me my first D.Now my next assignment is due…in nine months. You know when you meet your new professor, and he ends up being the same man you had a one-night stand with three months ago?Okay, maybe not. Let me explain.I hadn’t intended to sleep with my professor. I might be known as the impulsive, prankster daughter in my family, but I’m not insane. I just wanted to have some … I’m not insane. I just wanted to have some fun in Ireland at my sister’s wedding, and maybe lose my virginity, too.
When I met Lochlann Gallagher at a pub one night, I couldn’t resist him. He was hot, Irish, and entirely set on seducing me. One unforgettable night under the sheets with him, and my V-card went up in smoke.
Well, that night had one itty bitty consequence because Lochlann totally made my eggo preggo.
And if this story isn’t crazy enough, Lochlann is not just my baby daddy: he’s now my professor and my advisor for grad school.
Somehow we have to figure out a way not to reveal this rapidly gestating secret while resisting the explosive attraction between us.
Except there’s just one more complication to this story: I think I’m totally falling for my baby daddy.
Oopsie daisy.

Finally getting Kate’s book and it fit her perfectly! After Kate decides to let loose at her sister’s destination wedding, those decisions end up following her back to the US when she finds out that not only is she pregnant, but her baby daddy is her advisor for grad school. Lachlann is new to the US and excited to continue his career and research somewhere he knows can develop it, but all his dreams come to a halt when he realizes his new advisee is none other than Kate. After he finds out he’s going to be a father, the pair try to keep a low profile of their bundle of joy out of fear that he will be deported and lose his job because of it, even though the met before the school year. I really loved the character of Kate and her strong-willed personality and ability to do what she sets after, no matter how other people feel differently. While I wasn’t originally the biggest fan of Lachlann, I did enjoy how he stepped up to the plate once everything was out in the open and revealed his true feelings. Overall, I loved the book and the end of the Flower Shop Sisters series – each book was delightful and hilarious!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Loved this emotionally thrilling roller coaster filled with lovable charters, unforgettable banter, laugh out loud twists and heart racing passion….. was a highly entertaining read from beginning to end. Adore Kate and was so happy to finally get her story, brilliant story telling!
A person can plan everything out in their lives but sometimes life makes it’s own plans. Sometimes those unexpected and unplanned things can turn out to be the best moments or things in a person’s life. I adored Kate and Lochlann’s story. Their chemistry is undeniable. They are perfect for each other. I enjoyed their banter and they way they tried to goad responses out of each other. Their story is funny and sweet. A story that’ll give you all the feels.
This third book is about Kate the youngest of the daughters whose parents ran a flower shop. Kate is over in Ireland for her sister’s (Mari) wedding to Liam. She goes to a pub and decides she wants a “little Irish for the night”. When she spies Lochlann there’s a attraction and the night progresses. Three months later, Kate who’s on college scholarship meets her professor adviser and it’s her Irish hook-up. Lochlann pretends he doesn’t remember her. When Kate gets sick she suspects and takes a pregnancy test and it turns pink. What will Kate do, with her scholarship on the line? Will she tell Lochlann? Will he stand by her knowing he can lose his job? The characters from the other “Flower Shop Girls” appear in this story as they support their sister Kate. Lochlann’s back story of why he struggled to come to terms about his feelings toward Kate made this a enjoyable story to read and review via Gems. ARC
When I first read the description I wasn’t thrilled to read this. I know, I know I have not the best start to review! But older men professor – student romance books are not my thing. Honestly, of this were by some other random author, I would have skipped this one. However, I think I’ve read every book by this author including the first two books in the series which I loved. So I went ahead and drove in. I love Kate from the first two books and love her even more after this one. She’s hysterical , and who doesn’t love an Irishman? Lachlan was perfectly flawed and the story was much more than teacher- student. I’m just bummed because I think the series is now over
“Honestly, if anyone knew how many voices I had in my head I’d probably be committed.”
And that my reading friends, is the most authentic introduction to Kate Wright that I can conjure. That line instantly connected me to Kate – because heck, as an avid reader I have many voices in my head too. The thing with Kate is that MOST of her dialogue is not inner at all, she’s very much an open book and I am super excited to have her story. Given Kate’s unique brand of “Moxy,” there are a few things that I found surprising. She’s entertaining, to say the least, but she’s also more vulnerable than I ever imagined.
The youngest of the Wright daughters, Kate, was herself an ooops baby and while she doesn’t seem maternal at all, she is clearly headed there. And the schmexy Irish man who is her baby daddy, Lochlann, is also a graduate advisor, making this is a forbidden love story. It just takes a bit to get to the love part, making a slow burn story as well. The fact these two can’t keep their hands off each other only heightens the combination of illicit and funny/laugh out loud reading experience.
That said, there are a few moments with Kate that I wanted to shake her, and I would say most would find her initial reaction to finding Lochlann in the office as her professor a little off-putting. She’s a smart girl, but clearly not great at the thinking on her feet where her emotions are involved. But I love her heart and her intentions. The entire situation is fraught with consequences and as Lochlann tries to do the right thing, he slowly learns it’s not exactly cut and dry as to what that is.
As expected this was a light yet emotional read. I love the Wright daughters, the parents and the men that have ended up in their lives and have really enjoyed each of their books. Iris Morland was a new to me author when I started this series and I am so glad to have found her.
Terrific!! This story is funny, sweet, bitter and frustrating but, it is worth it because Kate and Lochlann are a special couple. Kate’s nervous sarcasm, wit and spontaneity gives levity to the drama of her one night stand turning into much more with a baby on the way. The ever formidable Lochlann is charming while keeping Kate at arms length. Their back and forth taboo relationship keeps hope alive in Kate while Lochlann refuses to see what’s in front him except his work and the responsible to his unborn baby. The story is so well done and the characters, especially Kate’s friends, Naoko and Henry just give that bit of extra something that make this whole book exceptional.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Charming and cute. Steamy too! I was eager to meet the third sister in the series because apparently she’d managed to end up pregnant by an Irish hottie. That had to be captivating.
This couple’s plight is really entertaining and endearing too.
Accidental pregnancy is one trope I usually enjoy, and here it comes with funny dialogues, incendiary chemistry and a man who doesn’t believe he can love a woman as she deserves. Engaging plot twist!
The characters seem to be opposites, though their field of scientific research is the same and that bodes well. Even better, they indulge in fantastic lovemaking.
Kate is smart, witty and a magnet for messy situations. Lochlann is a workaholic and a professor who happens to be her only one-night stand and her baby daddy.
It all starts really funny until it develops more into serious territory as the pregnancy awakens certain issues. Reputation, academic life, how they will cope when the baby is born. It is all very valid and their differences and fears collide to make the story more emotional. Love seems to be impossible for them, but luckily the bumps in the road give way to the real baby bump that changes their hearts and their lives. I loved how they showed their feelings for each other in the end, and the epilogue is deliciously romantic
There’re a lot of years between me and Kate. And I had to keep reminding myself that acting childish isn’t out of character when the character practically still is one. She jokes about being sixteen in a couple of scenes and then pretty much acts like she is for most of the rest of the book. I liked Lochlann. He has no emotional intelligence whatsoever, but I liked Lochlann. I don’t quite understand how these two worked together, but they kept me laughing for the whole book. Yeah, there are some holes in the plot where I would have loved to know more about what happened. And, yes, I think Lochlann is a coward and a great big doofus for the way he handled his job and treated Kate. (I’m feeding him a little bit more rope to hang himself with here, because as I suggested above, he has the empathy of a root vegetable.) And their happy ever after does come about with next to no real effort. But they kept me laughing. I’ve discovered I can gloss over a lot of things that probably irritate the daylights out of other people if a book can keep me entertained. I’m sad to know that I’ve just read the last of the sisters, however, I’m dying to know who’s up next.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Hidden Gems Books.
Oopsie Daisy is the third book in the Flower Shop Sisters series. Three months ago, Kate lost her virginity overseas to a one night stand at her sister’s wedding. Starting grad school, she’s shocked when her one night stand turns out to be her new advisor, and even more surprised to find out she’s pregnant. Do Kate and Lochlann have a chance at a future together, or will the pressures of his job, her reputation, blackmail, and past hurts keep them apart?
I was so excited to get Kate’s book and I loved reading each page! There’s a lot of emotions, a lot of passion, quite a bit of laughs, no regrets, but a lot for them to work through to fight for their happily ever after! Kate is so spontaneous, and while she’s young and maybe a little impulsive, she has a big heart, she’s serious about her studies, and I love her acceptance of families and love in general! She has a great support group with her sisters and friends, and I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the situations she found herself in. Lochlann was a little hot and cold and perhaps not my favorite man in this series, but he had his own hang ups that effected his every day life, including his time spent with Kate. I loved when he did step up, and I loved the connection he reluctantly felt for Kate and the baby. There’s a lot of serious emotions in this book, too, as having a surprise baby would create, but I love how everything came together, I love the passion and connection felt between Lochlann and Kate, and loved how it all ended, too! This has been a fantastic series and I loved spending time with Kate and her two sisters!
This book is a hilarious take on a situation that could have been disastrous. In fact, in most circumstances, it is disastrous. However, the author’s spin on a one night stand gone horribly wrong had me laughing out loud as the fun-loving Kate has to face the results of a spontaneous moment. Despite his outer demeanor, Lochlann is a really nice guy. When he discovers that Kate is not only his one night stand but is also his student, he has a real matter of conscience to deal with. The fact that there is piranha in the pool with them, makes the situation even more sensitive. Altogether a highly entertaining book with very loveable characters. I received a copy of this book from Booksprout as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Irish import prof and college student: science nerds with real chemistry!
I really enjoyed heroine grad student Kate’s acerbic wit. Author Iris Morland laced this romance with some very hot scenes and humor. I found Irish hero Lochlann a bit of a jerk but ultimately I think he redeems himself. Putting him against a science-loving heroine who wants to save the world from climate change but gets sidetracked by their more immediate concerns was an interesting choice. I also loved Kate’s interactions with her roommate. All in all, a good read with an unexpected HEA.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh how I was waiting, oh so impatiently, for Kate’s book!! And it was so worth the wait!
Oopsie Daisy is Kate & Lochlann’s story and what a funny, steamy, heartfelt story it is!
Kate is the youngest sister, she is the prankster, the nerdy girl, the screw-up….well that’s what she thinks. I see her as funny, courageous and kick-butt type of heroine we all need! She is fierce in her determination to make a better world. When she meets Lochlann well then sparks fly and like gasoline and a flame they burn up the pages!
Lochlann is studious, he too is determined to make his mark in the world, but he falls in lust hard for Kate. I wanted to shake him sometimes for his selfishness, but then he came through quite brilliantly…
When Kate & Lochlann’s one night stand turns into so much more…well complications arise, feelings get changed and hearts get bruised.
Ms. Morland creates magic with her words! This is a true romantic comedy! Kate is hilarious and is such a foil to Lochlann’s uptight nature!
This whole series is fantastic, but I think I will have a soft spot for this story in particular!! So well done!
Sweet, frothy professor/student romance
Kate was just self-effacing enough to be adorable, even when she was being deliberately obstinate in dealing with Lochlann. Professor Gallagher, for his part, is in line for the jerk-of-the-month club but manages to redeem himself just in the nick of time. Each one is more concerned for their respective academic careers than they are for the child they created, but they do eventually get their HEA.
There’s plenty of humor and steam, and only a few minor inconsistencies that stopped just short of pulling me out of the story. Still, the characters are solid and the family ties help smooth out the wrinkles. If you’ve read the earlier books in this series, you don’t want to miss this one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Once again, this gifted wordsmith has me in awe of her ability to dust off a used-to-death trope, breathing new life into it with her witty, clever writing and have me devouring the pages in one sitting. I adored Dani and Mari’s stories in the previous two books, but I think Kate is my favorite sister.
Kate is the youngest of the Wright sisters, the prankster, and yes, the impulsive one. She decides to let loose when she’s in Ireland for Mari and Liam’s wedding, and she meets Lochlann one night at a pub. She decides he’s the perfect man to deflower her (you know I had to go there, right?) and in exchange, he leaves her with a hothouse specimen that comes into full bloom nine months later. It’s unexpected, but Kate can deal with a baby with the help of her BFF and her family while finishing her postgrad degree. What she wasn’t counting on is the fact that her new advisor for her grad program is also her baby daddy.
Our hero, Lachlann is a bit curmudgeonly and a lot pushy, but I give him a pass. It’s quite the shock to learn he’s going to be a father, but when he’s in, he’s all in. Gah! This scoundrel absconded with my heart in no time at all!
However, if the university finds out about Lachlann’s relationship with Kate, there goes his teaching job and his work visa. He also has a colleague who never grew out of her mean-girl phase, and you’re going to love to hate this character as she causes as much trouble as possible for Lachlann and Kate.
And Kate? This girl is my new hero. She may be young, but she knows what she wants and goes after it with everything she has. She has more to deal with than any other person should have to manage, but she has no shortage of perseverance and determination. With her strong moral compass and her family’s support, you just know things will work out for Kate. And things do work out, but not at all as I expected, which again showcases this lady’s talent for crafting a story.
Get ready to relinquish your emotions and hand them over into this writer’s care because this story is the very best kind of emotional whiplash. You’ll be giddy with laughter on one page and feel your heart squeezed on the next, only to have you blushing after that, while never quite sure where the ride will take you next. The balance between all these elements is pure perfection with a maximum emotional impact, and it will be all you can do to hold on tight. When the end is in view you’ll be left breathless and satisfied but wishing this book went on forever.
With a delicious push and pull and an angsty on-again, off-again relationship, this story is witty and charming, sizzling and steamy, and full of heart with surprising depth. Kate and Lachlann’s story will delight you, enchant you, and leave you wanting more, so don’t miss this delightful, heartfelt, phenomenal read!
Oopsie Daisy is the third book in the Flower Shop Sisters series. While at her sister’s wedding in Ireland, Kate decides to have a one night stand with a guy in the pub. Fast forward to a couple months later when she is home in Seattle. She finds out her fling is actually her professor, who acts like he doesn’t even remember who she is. Add to that, she finds herself to be pregnant with his child. Well, oopsie Daisy indeed. For being quite a bit older than Kate, Lochlann kind of acts like an immature idiot. I really hated the way he dealt with things. He pretty much treated her like a dirty little secret, which really just made the whole thing worse. From meeting Kate in the other books, I really expected her to have more backbone, so that aspect left me a little disappointed. I wish the ending wasn’t quite so rushed, but they did get their happy ending, so there is that. I did receive a free copy of this book from Hidden Gems Books and this is my honest review.
Ok so this is book 3 and I’m on the fence…I mean it was an OK read but everytime is started to get “interesting” Lochlan would do something stupid and make me hate him a bit. I mean I understand he had a lot at stake but there were bigger things that were way more important than his job.
I’m sure that in real life he would have never gotten a chance for a HEA as he did in this book.
Now let’s talk about the positive; I liked Kate. She was funny, quirky and despite being (relatively) young I felt as she did what was expected of someone in her position. I felt she had more backbone than Lochlan.
I’m sorry to say but this book left me with a bad taste due to poor decision-making but because of Kate I’m giving it a 3* rating.

Romantic comedy with all the feels
Oopsie Daisy: The Flower Shop Sisters Book Three by Iris Moreland is truly a fantastic romantic comedy that will make you laugh out loud and fan yourself repeatedly. I love the previous books of this series, but I think this one is truly my favorite.
Kate is a total wild card. Whether she’s thinking something or talking, you just never know what’s going to come out. Chances are, she’s gonna make you laugh. Lochlann is the opposite to Kate. Very serious, brooding and a total alpha on top of so studiously sexy. Both of their personalities add to their drama, and create as many problems as the the number of pages they burn up. These two together are like a chemistry experiment in supernova proportions, which is totally fitting as they are both scientifically-minded. That’s the greatest appeal of this couple for me. They are so much alike professionally/academically while so very different in their personalities. These differences, their dire situation in academia and the impending parenthood make this book enthralling with captivating characters. I simply did not want to put this one down.
Overall, an absolutely excellent story for Kate with an awesome love interest in Lochlann and an extra sweet HEA.
I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
Kate & Lochlann had an interesting beginning. Their relationship had many ups & downs. Of course their Professor Student status didn’t help the drama.
I really liked read this book!
It’s a engaging, funny & sexy romance.
What happens when you have a one
night affair in a different country,
only to see that same person again
where you live, in the least likely place
you’d ever expect. It makes for a great romance. Kate Lochlann, are an
adorable & quirky couple.
I enjoyed everything about this Must
Read Story!!
