Onyx makes a wish in the Silver Springs magic spring: she wants more love in her life.Stone Hill High this year will offer a modern rendition of a timeless classic: A Christmas Carol. She is cast for the main role of a female Scrooge.Title of the play: Her Bah Humbug, which is very fitting since our Onyx despises Christmas with all her heart. What happens when three sexy high school senio… ehm … school senio… ehm ghosts will try to show her the error of her ways?
Will the magic pumpkin spice latte drank by the three hotties set to co-star in the high school Christmas play make them fall for her?
Is love caused by the wish at the magic spring?
Did Julian (the Jewels Cafe owner) lend a helping hand?
It certainly seems suspicious that the three hot guys are suddenly all over Onyx when they’ve never really noticed her before.
Come to the play on Christmas Eve and see what happens.
Onyx is a contemporary reverse harem story. It’s part of the Jewels Cafe shared universe.

Fun and it’s funny. After Onyx’s ex boots her off the debate team, she ends up in theatre arts. As a former theatre arts lover, I have to say, this was both hilarious and entertaining. Definitely falls in the cute and fun reads.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, that in more ways than one, offers a new rendering of A Christmas Carrol. Onyx’s long term problems with Christmas and all her family issues on top, is heartbreaking and her way of comming out the other end… I just loved it!
I definitely loved reading this part of Jewels Cafe. Looking forward to more!
Amazing Christmas story with a unique variation on the tale of Scrooge. I loved Onyx, her guys, as well as all of the rest of the awesome characters in this fast paced and sexy book. It is an amazing addition to the Jewels Cafe series! Definitely a must read and a must add to your Christmas reading list!
This was such a cute RH story about Onyx and her boys. Onyx hates Christmas because of all the bad luck she’s had over the last few years during the holidays. To continue with her bad luck streak her ex-boyfriend tells her she’s off the debate team because he doesn’t want it to be awkward for his current girlfriend. LOSER!! Just saying! The only elective left is theatre arts. Things get shaken up when Robin, Allan and Dylan start to fall for Onyx. What could wrong right?? This story had me laughing and rooting for this foursome. I love a good HEA!!
I loved this book it is a hilarious read and such a good read!!! It is hilarious and will have you laughing and has some seriously hot stuff going on!!! If you aren’t in the holiday spirit this will for sure give you some holiday cheer! This is honestly a must read!
Highly recommend this one
When I think of Christmas, I was totally relating to Onyx on all levels. I sure as back did not see anything else except for the PSL. So I was shocked about a wishing well. Lol Anyways Christmas is not a holiday Onyx likes. This final year of school she has to make some changes. Well this brings her face to face with her crushes. Who is that you say? Allan and Robyn share something in common and it’s a big secret! Dylan is Robyn cousin and he finds out that secret and shared it too. Onyx is picked to be a lead in a play. So what happens? All kinds of things happen! Evil girls, magic drinks and high emotions makes for a great book. The chemistry with Onyx and her guys is so loving that I couldn’t help but be happy for her. She needs some luck on her side.
You need to read this book! You will love the story and the characters.
Sweet YA romcom
I was surprised to find a YA entry in the jewels Cafe series but it was sweet, romantic and steamy enough to keep me happy. I hope that we follow Onto and her boys into their adulthood and see a maturing, deepening relationship that stands the test of time. Nice change of pace.
This book was the best Christmas book I’ve read in year’s. I loved how it took a classic tale and spinned it in to a girl version and it was more up to date with the times. I might read this book every Christmas for now on. I loved it I’m actually glad there’s a short novella because I’m actually sad this book ended.
This is a short story to follow Onyx and I loved it! Fun and quirky well written and an amazing look into her happy ever after!
Bah humbug my booty…lol! I laughed out loud.
As a theater nerd in high school, this one totally tickled my fancy. I laughed a ton and could totally relate to our FMC
Even reading this happy story in the summer couldn’t stop the warm, fuzzy feelings of Christmas it brings. Onxy is a character all ladies can relate to in some way. She reminds us what it’s like to be a girl on the verge of her adult life. I loved the take on the classic Holiday story and the new life breathed into it. I can’t wait to read it again with a mug of hot cocoa and some Christmas cookies!
A RH romance with some magical help. Onyx hates Christmas. Nothing good for the past four years has happened on Christmas. But when she is forced to play Scrooge in a twist of the original tale, she may not be saying Bah Humbug for long. Love the twist of the play. Onyx is eighteen and is a senior in high school. With three ghosts of Christmas things do heat up. But can she break the Christmas curse or just break a leg? Plenty of romance throughout. I just want to know Fred’s story and who he is.
I loved onyx and her men and how they didn’t give up even when it got tough. And I love how it was based off the scrooge . can’t wait to read the next book definitely five stars from me
Absolutely the funnest Bah Hum Bug story yet! Teen angst, check. Life-changing drama, check. Magic Pumpkin Spice Latte – check! Harem of cute boys – Onxy has them and she’s about to learn about the magic of Christmas!
My taste is a little wonky lately. Books I expect to be five star reads all of a sudden disappoint and books I’m not that sure about all of a sudden grasp me and refuse to let go. Since contemporary isn’t really my thing, I wasn’t entirely sure about this book. However, I love the Jewels Cafe series and I was so happy when I won this one for Christmas!
And this morning I just started reading and I was so sad when I reached work and had to quit. I wanted to know how this story would finish, although I already had some ideas of course. The story is slightly addictive and because it’s not too long it never drags or feels like it’s just filled with scenes that don’t add much to the story.
The result is a cute and sweet story about a girl who lost faith in Christmas and in guys, rightly so. It’s the perfect story to read on a bad day. It’s just lovely and adorable and although there are some dramatic moments, especially because Onyx isn’t the most confident person in the world and because some high school girls are just bitches, it’s mostly a story that made me smile and feel great and happy. And once I did read the last page I had this very nice and pleasant warm feeling in my chest.
It’s not some deep story. The characters aren’t layered or complicated or incredibly interesting. The plot also wasn’t that sophisticated. But sometimes that’s not what we need anyway. And today this story was what I wanted, what I needed and what my soul and heart longed for. And I’m glad that Christmas brought it on my path, because else I might have never read it.
This is a cute quick read. Onyx is afraid to love and hates Christmas. So much is happened in the past she is afraid to open up. Just when she thinks things aren’t able to get any worse her life begins to change. I enjoyed this story and the characters.
This is such an amazing book. I love Onyx and the guys Dylan, Allan and Robyn. It all started years ago where Allan and Robyn made a pact about Onyx. Dylan comes to town and is a cousin. They include Dylan. Dylan than says but what if she didn’t have to choose. This starts a series of events including a PSL. They star in a play her bah humbug and Onyx despises X-mas. That makes her perfect for the role but offcourse there is an evil girl wanting all she has.
I absolutely love Onyx, she is an amazing character. She’s sweet and I can completely relate to her with despising Christmas, but a special drink may remedy that as 3 hot guys come to find her irresistible. I love the details of the town and how the characters interact with each other. It’s very well written and so smooth and easy to read that you feel like you’re apart of the story. I highly recommend this book.
This book is amazing. Melissa Adams knocked it out of the park with this one. It’s such a unique book. I love the twist on Scrooge. Onyx is a great main character, and her guys are fantastic. This was well written with great characters. Even the evil Valentina.
