When Ivy reluctantly takes a new part-time job, it’s a means to an end. Doing this favor for her pain-in-the-neck roommate means Ivy can have her apartment to herself again much sooner. The last thing she expects is Hugh—the hot Scot who just happens to be her new boss—asking her out on a date. And then another. And another.Something about Hugh makes Ivy want to let her guard down and open up, … open up, which would be perfect if he wasn’t possibly returning to Scotland in a matter of weeks. But maybe that doesn’t matter. Maybe Ivy can learn to live in the moment and have a little fun, even if it means setting herself up for heartache later.
ONLY YOU is a standalone contemporary romance about taking chances, unexpected friendships, and holding on to the things—and people—that matter most.

I’m a huge fan of Marie Landry’s writing and have been since I read the amazing Waiting For The Storm a few years back. Since then, she’s been one of my must-buy authors and I look forward to her every release, and this one was no exception! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book after seeing the gorgeous cover, and it was worth every bit of the wait!
Ivy is a brilliant character – so down to earth and relatable, I saw a lot of myself and my friends in her, and oh my god, Hugh! If it’s possible to fall in love with book characters, I’m a little bit in love with Hugh! Talk about a Hot Scot! Marie’s writing is so descriptive that I could literally see him and hear every word he spoke… Oh, why can’t he be real?!
This is an amazing book – set at Christmas but not really a Christmas book, even though the setting is delightfully festive, it would be a perfect book for any time of year! It’s a romance but the focus is really on independence and the importance of friendships rather than the romance, which made it a stand out read for me. Also, there’s an adorable cat with an equally adorable name! Overall, it made me giggle, cry, swoon, and fan myself at the scorching hot bits! Highly recommended!
Ivy Sima regrets agreeing to let the snarky Celia rent the spare room in her apartment. The snarky Celia gets fired from every job, is constantly bitching about something and eats her food. So when Celia gets fired again, nobody will hire her, except for holiday theme park Santa’s Village … on the condition that Celia can recruit at least one part-time elf. Ivy succumbs to Celia’s emotional blackmail to work part-time at Santa’s village, where she meets Hugh MacKinnon, the hot Scot. Ivy and Hugh start dating but Hugh goes back to Scotland when Santa’s Village is closed until next winter. Is this the end for Ivy and Hugh?
Only You is a funny, sweet and steamy story full of fun and quirky characters you’re going to fall in love with

I loved Ivy and Hugh’s story!
Marie Landry has created characters you want to be friends with and a Christmas Village that sounds like so much fun to work at.
Ivy was relatable, fun, and she really is someone I could see myself being friends with. She is just a little awkward, looks out for those she cares about, and is feeling just a little discontented recently.
Her relationship with Hugh was sweet. I liked that it didn’t instantly happen within the first few chapters of the book. Instead it felt like it grew organically within the plot.
The romance and story felt fresh and unique – especially with some of the action taking place at a Christmas Village where Ivy ends up with a part time job.
This is the first of Marie Landry’s books I have read and I am looking forward to reading more!
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
This was a well written, emotional heart warming read. Hugh and Ivy are such wonderful characters. The storyline was interesting and kept me wanting to keep reading. I recommend it to all. I received it from booksprout and voluntarily reviewed it.
Only You was absolutely delightful! I have to admit, I had no idea it was a holiday-themed romance until I started reading it. But you know what? It was exactly what I needed in my life. For the last couple weeks, I’ve been trying to get in the mood for the holidays but I’ve been resistant for some reason. The holiday spirit Only You inspired was very real. Now I want to indulge in all the Christmas things.
Is it normal to want to be best friends with a book character? Because I totally want Ivy to be my new BFF. She was spunky and relatable. I felt like I totally “got” her. Is it ok to say I was a little worried about Hugh in the beginning? I was afraid he was going to turn out to be some jerky playboy, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. This hot Scot was 100% swoony. Ivy and Hugh had amazing chemistry and I couldn’t get enough of it. They gave me ALL the heart eyes.
I loved the romance, but I also flat-out adored the focus on friendships in this book. In fact, I bought Mistletoe Kiss after finishing Only You because I wanted more of this world. I also really wanted to go back and get Bridget and David’s story. I hope there’s more to come from these characters… especially Celia. I wasn’t sure I would end up liking her, but I really did. I’d love to see her get her own HEA.
Only You was charming, swoony and sexier than I expected! My first Marie Landry book was an absolute success. I want to devour her backlist. Books like this are why I love romance as much as I do. If you’re looking for some Christmasy swoons, look no further. This book should be at the top of your list.

Lately I’ve had to remind myself that even at twenty-nine, I still have some maturing to do. It’s not always easy, and it comes with growing pains and learning a new normal.
There he goes again, being all cute and charming and Scottish. It almost makes up for the fact he didn’t kiss me. Almost.
Hugh and Ivy’s story held my attention from the first chapter until the last page. A book I would recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When Ivy agrees to work as a part-time elf at Santa’s Village in order to help her cousin and roommate get a better job, she has no idea that the owner and Santa there is a hot Scot. A hot Scot that she’ll fall headlong for. Also a hot Scot, who unfortunately, is not in the US permanently. Can Ivy open up her life to Hugh, knowing there’s every chance she’ll get her heart crushed when he goes back to Scotland?
Only You is a sweet, sexy little holiday read. Hugh and Ivy are adorable together, and pretty great individually, too. I wish all Santas were like Hugh!
I was totally hooked from the very first page with the well written storyline and the well rounded characters! Ivy and Hugh were very likable, believable and engaging which made this book a very enjoyable read!
The brilliant thing with this story is the normalcy of it. No over the top characters, no crazy impossible situation. Ok it’s a little bit on the naive side but, it still a pleasure to read it

I absolutely ADORED this book! Ivy is a realistic (and damn funny) heroine and Hugh? Scottish and SUPER swoon-worthy. Just saying. Add in a Santa’s Village that brought to mind David Sedaris’s The Santaland Diaries and this book was a total winner for me.
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I seriously loved every second of this amazing book. Ivy and Hugh were adorable from the very start. My love for these two characters knows no bounds. I loved watching them fall. And I loved that this wasn’t your typical boss/employee book either.
I loved Hugh. He was smart, sophisticated, and compassionate. Not your typical boss book boyfriend at all. I think that was so refreshing for me. And Ivy, she kept me laughing. I love a book like this. The story was captivating and the characters far exceeded my expectations.
Please check out this great book. I promise you will not be disappointed.
This is a well written book with likable and realistic characters in Ivy and Hugh. Their chemistry is off the charts hot and it was fun to watch their relationship evolve and grow. The supporting characters help to bring the story to life. The author brings drama,a bit of mystery and tons of humor and love in this sweet story and I enjoyed reading.

Only wanting to get her apartment back and her cousin out, Ivy agrees to be a part-time elf at the Christmas Village. When she meets Hugh she is immediately attracted to the Scott. As these two get to know each other, one thing is for sure and that is Ivy is over her head when it comes to Hugh. Can she learn to live in the moment or will she loose her heart at the end of the season? This is a beautiful story of life’s reality of falling in love and the challenges that it brings.
