The men in Nicole McLaughlin’s Man Enough series are tough Alphas devoted to serving their country and the women who love them. National Guardsman Aiden King has been attracted to Hannah Walters for a while, but he never made a move because of her close relationship with his best friend. But when circumstances change, Aiden is surprised when his friend gives his blessing. Problem is, there’s a … there’s a reason he’s still alone after all these years, and as much as he wants her, that secret keeps him from acting on his desires.
Hannah has finally decided to wait for the kind of love you read about in books and see in movies. After her failed engagement, Aiden’s unassuming support has become a touchstone for Hannah. It soon becomes apparent that he may be exactly the kind of man she’s been looking for. But the closer they become, the more he keeps her at arm’s length.
When Aiden suggests a road trip to take Hannah’s mind off her troubles, the two of them go on a journey neither one expected. She just hopes that the final destination is them together for good.

Only With You is the fourth book in Nicole McLaughlin’s Man Enough series. This book starts out with Hannah Walters floundering after a failed engagement. It comes to her attention that Aiden King is a good listener and an even better friend. What she doesn’t know is that Aiden has been attracted to her for a while. Aiden is a strong, sexy man but has a troubling background and major insecurities which means major misgivings for a good relationship with any woman let alone with Hannah.
I’ve enjoyed this series. This book seems to have a more serious tone than the other books. At times Aiden’s problems pulled me away from enjoying the story. It seemed like he almost had too much baggage. I liked the main characters, Aiden and Hannah but wish I could have stayed focused on the story a little better.
Nicole McLaughlin and her guardsman men are hot, sexy and Aiden King is unlike any man we have seen. He has secrets of his own, one huge one that not even this reader saw coming but when it does even you be surprised. Hannah is exactly what he needs to break free from his past and learn to live. These two with their feelings just made me want more of it. It was good to see who will break first and boy once it happened there was no stopping Hannah from getting her man. Love it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
This was another great story by Nicole McLaughlin. I met Hannah and Aiden in “It Should’ve Been You”, but I do believe that this book could be read independently of the series. There was enough explained that a reader could follow the story and understand. Also there was not too much “rewritten” about earlier books that it was over done. The book has great character development and several plots that held my interest.
Both Hannah and Aiden have on-going issues in each of their lives that makes them feel less than lovable. Together they find friendship and then love and then happiness. (I really like when couples are friend first then find love.) The road there is not an easy one though. That is what makes the story so interesting.
While this is a romance book, it is not a light and fluffy read. Hard life problems exist and cause the connection of Hannah and Aiden to be strained. As it is with loving another person, you accept the problems that come with them and as a united front, the couple can face them and hopefully find healing.
I felt so many emotions while reading this book. Parts were humorous, heart breaking, romantic and calming. I look forward to continuing the series.
I was given the ARC for this book by St. Martin’s Press. I want to thank them and also Nicole McLaughlin for allowing me to enter the world of this book early. I truly enjoyed my visit in this journey of Hannah and Aiden’s love story.
Only With You by Nicole McLaughlin is a sometimes touching, all the time entertaining contemporary romance. Ms. McLaughlin has delivered a well-written book and filled it with fantastic, lovable characters. Hannah wonders if she’s broken, if she’s capable of falling in love. Aiden knows he’s broken but he has a fascination of Hannah. Their story is packed with drama, more than a little angst, but it doesn’t take over the story. There’s also humor, sizzle and surprises along the way. I enjoyed reading Only With You and look forward to reading more from Nicole McLaughlin in the future. Only With You is book 4 of the Man Enough Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Only For You by Nicole McLaughlin is the fourth book in her Man Enough series. This is Hannah and Aiden’s story and why he is so distant there is a touchy subject so be prepared. After reading this I can see why their story was hard to write. It can be read as a stand alone or with Becca’s story Should’ve been you as Hannah is her twin.
Hannah Walters has decided to give men a rest for a year after a bad break up from her fiance. But she was also the sister you hated in the previous book. But while staying at Jase’s home on their National Guard week-end, Aiden and Hannah end of trading phone numbers and texting each other. When they begin to go beyond friendship he puts the brakes on which leaves her wondering if there is something else going in within Aiden’s tortured soul.
Aiden King has had a slight crush since meeting her at Jase’s but he also has a heart breaking secret plus PTSD from being a Army sniper while deployed. He owns a bar that he loves cooking for and has a grandmother in failing health. But when she passes away suddenly , Aiden decides to search for the mother he never knew. So he offers Hannah a road trip that will take them to Colorado and Wyoming to find her. But what he finds is not only does he have secrets but his mother does as well. Can Hannah help him on the path of healing his heart and soul while connecting with his mom and half sister? Hannah must also learn that she must soul search her own heart while Aiden seeks the help he needs to become the man she loves.
I received a free ARC of this book from netgalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
It seems that in most of the books that I have read lately, instead of being cherished and loved, one if not both of the main characters were subject to abuse as a child and are still struggling with the physical and mental scars as adults. Is this a new trend? I hope only in fiction, because if not, it is a sad commentary on the way this country is moving away from our traditional values.
This book immediately follows that last, in which Hannah Walters breaks her own engagement followed by her best friend, Jace becoming engaged to her twin sister, Becca. After leaving the Army, Jace remained a member of the National Guard, and at the end of the last book Hannah was developing a friendship with one of Jace’s friends and fellow Guard, Aiden King. Hannah is taking a break from men and trying to discover herself, but there definately is an attraction between her and Aiden, although she gets mixed signals from this large, quite beautiful man. Slowly the reader and eventually Hannah discover what went on in his grandmother’s home where he grew up to make him think that he is too damaged for a woman. A Hannah decides she will soothe and help heal this strong and gentle wounded warrior.
I felt the story was especially strong in character development and very realistic. The author’s writing style flows and I had a hard time putting it down, so eventually stayed up way past my normal bed to to finish it. Bonus points for the cover picture actually looking like the characters and they do ride a motorcycle together. The only con, was I found the author’s possibly anti-gun sentiments projected onto Aiden as totally unrealistic. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Hannah is a schoolteacher, with a twin sister who dates her best friend, and just broke off her engagement. She’s smart, strong, and not afraid to say what’s on her mind. Aiden is former military but serves in the National Guard one weekend a month with his buddies. He owns and runs a bar. He has had a traumatic past which prevents him from getting close to women. He’s had a crush on Hannah for a while but knew her and Jase were close. But since Jase is dating Hannah’s sister, he gives it a try. They go on a trip to locate his mother and end up camping, which is not ideal for Hannah. While on the trip Hannah figures out what Aiden is keeping from her, can she convince him to trust her to stay by his side?
I wanted to cry, laugh, and beat up someone. This story will break your heart and make you hope he has the courage to get past his demons. Some sexual tension and a man who doesn’t think he is good enough for the woman he loves.
