Silas Boone III has been punishing himself for years for his younger self’s screw-ups. Just as he finds someone with the power to make him trust himself again, he’s confronted by a face from the past – one that reminds him of his mistakes and all the possibilities he once dreamed could be his.
“I’d found the love of my life. Most people don’t even get that much, so it felt selfish to look for more.”
After his boyfriend of nine years dies suddenly of a heart attack, Cameron MacGowan moves to Fort Collins for a fresh start. What starts as simple flirtation and easing back into dating turns into a tangle of longing and wanting for two totally different men.
Can Jay, Boone, and Cameron navigate through the treacherous waters of the past to reach a future together?

Only for Us by JD Chambers is the sixth book in The Only Colorado series. It is a fun and sexy romance between three hot and amazing men – Boone, Jay and Cameron. These characters are interesting and entertaining… I fell in love with them and was anxious to see them get a Happily ever after.
The story has a dash of drama to add spice, a great dose of steam, a pinch of sweetness and it all mixes well into a story that will capture you heart.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This is one of my favorite series ever, I’ve loved every book in it, and I’m glad this one wasn’t an exception. I loved that we got to see glimpses of past couples in this book. I enjoyed seeing where everyone is in their lives. The way these characters meet was very unique, it wasn’t traditional at all, and kind of messy, but I always appreciate unconventional story lines.
As always, the character development is A+. I though all three MCs were fleshed out characters. They were all easy to root for and it was obvious to see that they belonged together. Their relationship was fun and sexy, but it will also make you feel a whole range of emotions.
Three souls that are lost. I liked all three men despite the inauspicious beginnings with each combination of the three, but I think it’s Jay that stole my heart most solidly. Despite how difficult it still is for me to wrap my head and heart around menage relationships, this particular grouping really felt right. Each one had something to offer the partnership and their roles played a big part in keeping them together at various turns in their relationship journey.
The Only Colorado series is a tangled web of relationship connections from the past that all work out to some amazing partnerships. Only for Us brings us full-circle and concludes the series on a high point with all the love, kink, and sexiness that we’ve come to expect from the series. What makes this book special is the complicated dynamic and the sweet love and forgiveness that keeps these men together.
Cameron’s grief isn’t really discussed as it’s not really the main focus of his part in the story. His part is more about moving on from grief to new love and self-discovery. When Jay gives him some truly insightful advice into learning just who Cameron is on his own, it brings him Boone. Using the opportunity to introduce Boone was a great vehicle, but it didn’t really flesh out Cameron’s situation in a satisfying way. It made the jump into the more complicated relationship feel a bit shallow, not that it was superficial, just that it lacked the depth on his part that would have made his role really sing.
Boone I felt for. His struggle was a difficult one and the prologue perfectly captured just how tortured and conflicted he felt. It made him more pitiable than reviled from what we learned about him in Only Keep You. His role felt pretty juvenile for the most part, but it worked as a way to bring out the protective instincts in Cameron and Jay. I think Cameron and Jay could have been totally fine on their own, but Boone’s specific needs catered to their very different desires in how they show passion and love. It really worked as a whole with the way his unique qualities were integrated.
But it was Jay that truly captured my attention and my heart. He was complex in the differences between his presentation and his heart’s true desires. I found myself frustrated with Cameron on many occasions because of how blind he was to what Jay needed. Jay felt like the real adult in the relationship even if he needed Boone’s perspective to help him find the best solution to one of their issues. In the face of Cameron’s “put-together” life, it was Jay’s maturity and well-rounded character that stood out most. I also ached for him when we saw his vulnerabilities. There wasn’t a moment that I was disappointed in him, no time I felt that he could have been or done more. Thankfully the other two men could give him what he needed and craved.
This story felt quicker than the others of the series in terms of relationship genesis to the ending, partly because we’ve got three perspectives to cover and all their complexities in roughly the same amount of pages as the other couples in the series. There were quite a few foundation-building moments that felt skimmed over making it feel as if Jay really was going to be left out despite being the perfect fit for their group. It was his greatest hurt and yet never truly addressed even if things ended on an incredibly sweet and sexy note. Their journey was rather simple without a lot of angst and the exploration of their kink wasn’t as in-depth as the other books in the series. Focusing instead on the way these three men fit together with some spiciness in the bedroom (or anywhere else they can get up to their steamy shenanigans), the story was sweeter and a great wrap-up to the series.
This book has the right amount of steam and chemistry. Boone is a quiet guy who hasn’t forgiven himself for his past mistakes. Jay is loud, outgoing and confident within the mask he portrays. Cameron is still grieving and trying to figure out how to live again. I loved how his story evolved.

Some series create exceptional fictional universes, and Only Colorado is one of those for me. I absolutely love the way the interwoven characters form a supportive and fun community of friends where in happy to get lost. Additionally, this series offers such a range of characters with a variety of backgrounds, romantic pairings, and kinks. And though the stories and characters overlap to a degree, these books can be read as standalones should you prefer to skip pairings/tropes that aren’t your thing. Only for Us marks the sixth book in the Only Colorado series and introduced a throuple to this band of close friends.
I really liked the individual characters in Only for Us and especially liked that each man had such a different range of experiences and journey as they chased their happily ever after. Unfortunately, I found myself less interested in the triad’s romantic interactions, especially physically, than in their moves to remedy personal conflicts and create an environment that nurtured their bond. I guess I wanted to feel that pull between the men a bit more so I was as invested in the relationship as I was in Boone, Jay, and Cameron on their own. Overall, this is one that’s worth the read but not my fave in the Only Colorado series.

Jay, Cameron, and Boone are lovable and sexy men. Each one has issues that make him doubt his potential as relationship material. Boon has cheated in his past and has never fully come out of the closet. Cameron lost his long-term lover and isn’t sure he can find a love like that again. And Jay wants to be in a relationship, but he doesn’t think anyone can see him as more than a fling.
These sweet men are just right for each other! The relationship doesn’t grow without missteps, and it isn’t always easy, but there is really not a lot of angst here. The guys are just happier and more fulfilled when they are together than when they are apart. I love this series, and I am so happy to see Jay and Cam find their happy ending with Boone. The author makes it easy to fall in love with her characters, and I look forward to reading her next offering!

A wonderful trouple
I love JD Chambers writing but am still catching up of her works but this MMM is exceptional. Each character is diverse, unique and complex in their own way. I haven’t read all the books in this series but really want to based on the awesome side characters. I love a toppy twink and there seem to be very few quality versions out there but Jay is exceptional and my absolute favorite!! He is all I want in a dom/top characters plus he has such heart, empathy, and love to give, you just want to give him a hug.
The dynamics and coming together of these three is semi-slow, angst-filled but is great when they all decide to date and move forward. This is a relationship formed between three men, not a couple that adds on a third. I like this approach and felt like each character was so perfectly matched and equal in the relationship that they just melded seamlessly.
JD Chambers injects humor and heart into her writing and this is a great MMM romance that will fill your heart. I loved it! Now I just need to catch up on all the other characters!!

What a wonderful way to end a series.
These characters are all dealing with different life events making them insecure. Together these 3 men uplift, encourage, support and above all love each other. Part of the relationship is a 2nd chance romance, some of it is learning to love again but the most important part is learning to trust again.
I can’t wait to see where JD brings us after this amazing series but it can only get better from here. I do hope we get to catch up with some of these characters in short stories as time goes on.
