I love music-rock genre stories especially with a little extra naughtiness tossed in. This one was wonderful. So very refreshing to read a story that doesn’t involve the seedier side of things… but a story of a hard-working, musician struggling with private pain and a strong-willed, mischievous woman struggling with her deepest desires. I loved that they focused on each other and stood by each other through their struggles. What a lovely, uncomplicated romance.
His Sassy Muse….
All Kennedy O’Connell waned was a much needed massage, but she gets much more than that. She is the President of Guest Services at the Sovereign Hotel in Las Vegas. When she enters the only place she can relax and have peace, her jaw drops at the sight of a half naked man on her massage table. She can’t stop gawking at him. He is gorgeous built for sin and has the most sexiest tattoo she has ever laid her eyes on. Thank god he does not see her as her face and her body for that matter as they were the color of a blazing fire engine red.
This encounter snowballs into a comedy of errors that makes this story so much fun to read. The hot body that Kennedy drooled over turns out to be Rockstar Isaac Anschau. He has the reputation for particular tastes when it comes to bedroom sports.
Isaac is more than meets the eye. He has buried deep emotions that have followed him for 5 years. He lost someone close and has not come to terms with it. It is coming to a head when he no longer has his artistic mojo and his words are blocked in the sorrow he is feeling. His creative juices have dried up and his career is in jeopardy as a result. He sees hope when he meets Kennedy, She gets a rise out of him in more ways than one. But there is an issue that is restraining their relationship and holding it hostage. He has a Dom side and Kennedy definitely does not want to be a sub for any man. It’s a struggle for them both and I found myself reading their story like wildfire to see how everything turned out.
The third book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone with any problems. This is the story of Isaac and Kennedy
Isaac has been working non stop while grieving the death of his best friend. But his grieve has caught up on him. Then he meets Kennedy.
kennedy is strong sassy and not a sub or is she.
What I enjoyed about the book is that is shows a different kind of D/s relationship. Isaac shows Ken that the relationship is what you both want and need. It can be light and full of fun.
What is different about this book is that even though it is funny, romantic and very sexy, it also deals with serious and very current social issues.
4.5 Stars
Great story! This is a wonderful addition to Ella Sheridan’s If Only series.
Although Isaac is an Australian rock star, he’s no prima-donna and humbled by his current creative slump. Kennedy is a fun, down-to-earth woman. Her mischievous streak is hilarious and Isaac is totally swoon-worthy, and yet also very understanding of Kennedy’s feelings.
Very enjoyable, fun and, without giving the story away, a particular incident from Isaac’s past is dealt with in a very understanding manner. The respectful way the author handles this subject, and how Isaac finally faces his feelings about it, is commendable.
Don’t miss this one – you’ll enjoy it!
Only For the Moment is a real winner. I loved the story and the characters. I love Isaac and Kennedy, they are so engaging together. The story was a bit serious and a bit humorous. I do hope Ms. Sheridan gives some of Isaac’s band mates their own stories.
