Now my boss has sent me to interview him. It’s a massive scoop for the magazine, and turning it down would kill my career. So, I delude myself into thinking I can handle this.
Perhaps this is the closure I need to finally move on.

Only ever you review
WOW what a read , this was hard hitting , exciting , emotional and just wow
Ryder omg I could eat him all up completely gorgeous in my mind from distribution of him I was hooked, Zeta strong beautiful and determined my kind of girl this book had me hooked from first couple of pages I didn’t do anything but ignore my family as I couldn’t put it down….5 stars from me , a woop whoop and high five because this book is just completely blown me away and I love it
Ms. Davis, builds a very good storyline and uses her stories to help people with troubles and a need to talk to people for help.
This book ripped me In half and slowly put me back together again. The prologue is a difficult read, but vital for the book. Read the trigger warnings and decide if it’s for you.
If you make it through the prologue, your reward is a hell of a book. It’s written in two parts, set eight years apart. The author takes you on a rollercoaster of emotion as you experience the highest highs and extreme lows with Ryder and Zeta. It’s an unflinching love story, with all of the human weaknesses and strengths laid bare.
You can’t help but fall in love with Ryder and Zeta though. A couple who are truly meant to be together, in spite of what life throws at them. Perhaps they were always supposed to be together after everything has happened, and not before.
It’s a remarkable book and one that I would highly recommend.
This book was so good, two people met due to personal tragedy. The chemistry between Ryder and Zeta was always there and very intense. Getting through what they went through during the years of separation and then finding each other again was so romantic, they were made for each other. This book, like all of siobhans books, it very recommended, you need to read them all.
Wow. My heart has been broken and battered and finally put back together. Only Ever You is a highly emotional read dealing with sensitive subject matter, but done so in a beautiful way.
Ryder and Zeta both have horrible pasts that they are trying overcome. So their journey to a HEA is not an easy one, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. It was real and raw and painful, but also filled with hope and happiness and love! I got emotional whiplash, but it was so worth it.
Another fantastic read from Siobhan Davis. I highly recommend.
A damaged boy and a damaged girl trying their best to find their way through the hard life they’d been dealt. They sure stumbled along the way, but any love worth having is worth fighting for. Zeta and Ryder had to make it through so much to come out on the other side.
I love that Siobhan tackles the hard issues and helps people see the other side. It’s so easy to judge from the outside but not everything is so black and white. Siobhan writes those shades of gray in a meaningful way that shows the reader the taboo societal issues in a different light. Her books never disappoint and I’m so glad I dove back in for a reread so I could experience it all over again.
Holy Wow!!!!
Siobhan slays it with, yet again, another heart wrenching story that keeps you guessing.
Zeta and Ryder have been put through the wringer.
Some of the most challenging events to have happened to an individual. They keep getting knocked down and find their way back up.
This couple has definitely had their ups and downs, like very few others. And that just makes it that much sweeter to take that journey with them across their lives. From teens to Adulthood.
A perfect emotional book that keeps you on your toes.
Gosh, this book. AWESOME! My favorite by this author (so far), and I have read quite a few! This was such a rip-your-heart-out and stomp on it book. I fell in love with Ryder and Zeta. I love a second chance romance but this one was so much more. Ryder is truly troubled and has so much going on, Zeta is helpless when it comes to him. Their journey will keep you burning through the pages.
So angsty this one, but in such a great way. Ryder and Zeta story is a great second chance book. It has a little bit of everything all wrapped up into one book. You have the teenage love story in juvie, the rock star, the writer and all the angst and romance you need in a book. I loved everything about this book, if it wasn’t for work getting in the way I couldn’t put it down!
This one was a little different from what I usually read and I think that’s a good thing. There’s so much drama and angst. Ryder and Zeta have gut wrenching stories of thier childhood which brought them both together. The push and pull between them is heartbreaking over the years, but they just keep coming back to each other and hurting each other over and over again. A great read.
Omg this book was amazing! This one really tore at my heart strings. Ryder has had a tough go at life, a couple wrong choices later, his life will never be the same. Zeta, she like to put on a tough front, but she is a sweetheart, who feels her emotions deeply. Zeta had a tough go at life and meets Ryder at juvie. It was love at first sight, but will it, can it, last for ever? This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Only Ever You by Siobhan Davis is a story that tackles dark subject matter and can be a trigger from some readers.
Siobhan has a way of pulling at one’s heart with her writing. Her ability to handle dark subjects continues to amaze me as she writes in such a way that the emotions seep from the pages. This book was hard at times. A lot of heartache and a lot of angst but worth the read.
Ryder Stone and Zeta Williams first met juvie eight year prior. Having formed a bond together through their dark backgrounds they set out to plan a future but sometimes people change and things just don’t work out like we hope.
Eventually the two are reunited when Zeta, who works for a rock magazine is sent to interview Ryder who is now a successful rocker still struggling with his past. What transpires within the pages of this book is a rollercoaster of emotion that have you feeling all kinds of emotions.
I love that the author tackles dark topics. She doesn’t stray from the darkness in the world, but I will admit that this book was overwhelming at times. After I read this story, it took a good week for me to move on to another book because there was just so much that happened and so many emotions pulled out of me while reading.
Overall 4 stars!
So many ups and downs!! What an emotional journey!! Swoon worthy and passionate! Wonderful story!!
“Love is a place where hope and desperation lives
Because even though you’re gone
You’re still part of me
And I’ll always want you back.”
Two young people whose lives from an early age was not easy. Violence, fear, lack of opportunity. And parents who did not care. A wrong choice leads to the death of a child, and with that, a boy will never be the same again. A startled awakening, a man in the room, and an unexpected tragedy. And so, a girl finds herself in a sea of trouble. Ryder and Zeta meet in the reformatory, two souls so similar, who recognize each other at first glance, but find themselves trapped in a place where the idea of romance is far from fairy tale.
The two will get closer, fall in love, seek solace in each other and exchange confidences. Ryder, the first to achieve freedom, promises to wait for Zeta, but someone from his past returns, threatening everything he loves most. And so, promises are undone and Zeta’s heart broken.
Many years later, Ryder got what he always wanted: he’s a rock star. And lives as such, surrounded by money, drinks, drugs and women. Guilt still consumes him, and the self-destructive mode is a way to get numb. When meeting the new journalist who will cover the tour of his band, he will come face to face with the woman who he never forgot.
The journey of Ryder and Zeta will not be beautiful, joyful or easy. Quite the opposite. The wise boy of the past no longer exists. His new version is intense, on the verge of a collapse and full of demons. It will be up to Zeta to decide if she is strong enough to try to save him.
The book will awaken several feelings. Many of the attitudes of the protagonists, especially of Ryder, will be difficult to accept. The part that addresses the two in the juvie was the one I liked the most. Ryder’s rock star version made me angry, he was an idiot several times throughout the book. I thought Zeta very easily forgiven every time.
The topics covered are strong, controversial, with some situations that can cause discomfort. The two protagonists were clearly marked by their past, and carry unresolved issues. The two are toxic together, however much they need each other. It was interesting to approach the mental health problem, as well as the importance of seeking specialized help to deal with trauma.
The final part delivers an interesting twist, which will impact the couple. Ryder and Zeta are far from conventional, but present their story in a true and sincere way, without hiding the facts, no matter how they present paths that deserve to be forgotten. Or that hurt sometimes.

This book was great!
This story was one wild roller coaster ride and that’s all I’m going to say about it because if I say anymore I’ll be giving away all the surprises that’s hidden within this story and I do not want to do that because I think you should be the one to find those surprises yourself!
So it is a yes I most definitely do recommend this book!
I really enjoyed this one! There were so many emotions, so much angst, and so much lust in this book. Top that off with a bunch of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t put it down! What’s not to love when you have a sexy, super-hot rock star and a strong, beautiful woman? Ryder and Zeta progress from friends to lovers, breaking each others hearts a few times along the way, but never being able to deny the chemistry between them. Pick this one up today, and you won’t be sorry!!! Warning, there are some dark scenes in this book which may be triggers for some, so if that’s an issue, proceed with caution.
Siobhan Davis does it again! She is the master wordsmith. Every time I thought I knew what direction Ryder and Zeta’s story was going, it would suddenly take a hard left turn. I couldn’t put this book down. I was hooked until the end. So if you are looking for an amazing come back story, then look no further than Only Ever You! You will not be disapointed. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Only Ever You is about two teenagers Zeta and Ryder who fall in love in a juvenile detention center and are ripped apart by Ryder past coming back to haunt him. Then eight years later, they come face to face again as grown up adults not the kids they were before. Can they heal and find a way back to each other? Or is too late for them to have any type of relationship because too much damage has been done. to each other as different people than they were before.
Only Ever You tackles a lot of heavy topics and there are so many topics to list them all. So I think it is important to make sure to note that if you think you might not be comfortable reading this type of book don’t read it. There are a lot of mental health topics that might upset some people. Only Ever You is told in two parts, which means its a long book which could of been split into two smaller books.
I really love these two together they are both broken but together they are mended. Ryder is broken, he is still dealing with his involvement in the crime that led him to the death of that boy. Zeta is also broken but for a different reason. Together they just fit. I want them together. It is the hope I have for these two to have a HEA. It isn’t until everything is revealed that we get a clear picture of and the twist I never saw coming. It was a good book.
This storyline had so much promise. A couple who meets in juvie only to be separated but after time are reunited and have a happy ending.
That is not what happened in Only Ever You.
Zeta and Ryder meet in juvie, except Zeta’s crime is fake and Ryder’s crime is horrifically real. If you can get past his actions and continue on, not surprisingly they are separated…for her own good. Thanks for including Zeta in the decision making, Ryder! Then in a super not believable way, Ryder is now a rock star and Zeta is a reporter for a rock star magazine so their paths cross again.
I’m going to be totally frank here. Ryder was one of the most disgusting characters to read. His actions that led him to juvie, the man-whoring, the cheating right in Zeta’s face (that is excused because mental illness??). Honestly I’m not sure how I finished.
But if you love angst and can deal with all my hard stops, Siobhan Davis is a wonderful author who inspires so much emotion in me. Just not this time.
Anytime I read a book, there always comes a moment when I start thinking about my review for it. I think of it as my early sign that I’m in for a good read! Especially when it happens super early on in the story.
This was sitting on my Kindle and I was super excited to read it but I just hadn’t started it yet (for whatever reason) but I was really struggling one night with some anxiety and I could feel that anxiety crawling up my neck so I just grabbed my Kindle and lost myself with this story.
I swear it came me from an anxiety attack! It kept my mind focused on the story and not the outside world and it was just bliss. — THIS is what was my “sign” lol I knew I was going to share how this saved me that night! —
I love love loved the beginning of the story and the interaction between Zeta and Ryder and their dynamic felt effortless. Once things were more in the “present” so to speak, things felt sort of…forced with Ryder’s lifestyle? I only felt that way with him, not with Zeta. There were moments when they were together that I struggled to see/feel the same effortless connection between them, but because of their past, I mean..I could also understand why it wasn’t as effortless as before.
If that makes sense, lol
I also think I was expecting the story to have more involved with the “rocker” scene and it didn’t feel that way to me. It was more the lifestyle around it and less about the music? And because some of the beginning scenes (no spoilers here!) tugged on my music loving heart, I was looking forward to maybe reading/seeing more things like that throughout.
Don’t get me wrong, the story is good and I’m glad I read it! I think I was just expecting something a little different and that’s why I maybe didn’t connect with it the same as I have in past books by this author.
I would NOT be surprised, in the least, if I read this again and then came back to completely change/update my review because the first time I just wasn’t in the right head space for it and the second time my mind was blown.
It’s definitely possible! lol It’s happened to me before!
