A wonderful story from beginning to end.. I look forward to the next book in this series from Tamara
I couldn’t put this book down!!! Only an Earl Will Do by Tamara Gill is book 1 in the To Marry a Rogue series and I am so happy to have read this book. I read this book in a day because I just had to know what was going to happen with Elizabeth and Henry. It was as exciting as a rollercoaster ride… so many ups and downs. Tamara has such a gift for writing and is truly one of my favorite authors to read. This regency story is so original and the storyline is great. I so enjoyed this book. This story has a kidnapping, death, a big secret, schemes, true evilness, a loving family, misunderstandings, rescue, a forced marriage, a promise to wait, blackmail and love. It has it all and I highly recommend this book. It will not disappoint.
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
A long time ago Elizabeth and Henry came together in love as one. Henry went away to America to make his fortune, because he wanted to be able to repair his Scottish castle and support Elizabeth without the use of her dowry. Henry returns after two years and everything has changed. Elizabeth is not receptive to him anymore as a lot happened during those two years, and she feels betrayed by Henry.. Henry has no idea why he has received a cold reception, but he is determined to get to the bottom of it. Will Elizabeth and Henry have a second chance at love?
This is indeed a second chance at love story, and it was brilliantly delivered. The story has drama, passion, hope, despair, a villain and a really good twist. Well-written with a complex plot, well-developed and interesting characters along with a story that moves at a really good pace make this a book very worth reading. I was pulled into the story very quickly, and I was able to connect with the emotions of the hero and heroine. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be reading more from this author in the future.
This is part of a three book series and all three are good reads.
wordy wordy wordy
A very entertaining read from a new favorite author!! I like when the characters are real seeming and the plot not outrageous for the time. This book and this author (I immediately read another of her books) are new favorites.
Lady Elizabeth Worthingham the daughter of the Duke of Pemworth, had her future set out for her. Marry well, and marry without love until she found herself pregnant & Henry Andrews, Earl of Muir has gone to America to make his fortune in order to save his earldom from ruin. Henry isn’t answering her letters so she marries Lord Newland. Returning to England after three years abroad, Henry is determined to make the only woman who captured his heart his wife. But the icy reception he receives from Elizabeth is colder than his home in the Scottish highlands.
A lovely novel Henry & Elizabeth have always loved each other but misunderstandings & secrets threaten to come between them. There’s also the dastardly Marquis with his own agenda. The pace of the book is very good & I was hooked from the beginning. Although I really liked Henry there were times when I could have shaken Elizabeth. I love the author’s books & this disappoint, a page turning lovely read
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Review A Wonderful and Delicious Story from Start to Finish
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Henry and Elizabeth are very much in love. They share a night before he goes off to America to make a fortune that will save his Highland estate. Elizabeth finds out she is pregnant and her father wants her married. A message comes back with Henry’s refusal. Elizabeth is forced to marry a kind man one she doesn’t love. When Henry returns, he finds Elizabeth widowed. Now the intrigue begins. A third party is blackmailing Elizabeth and Henry promises to help. Elizabeth must tell the truth but is afraid. Henry loves her and must learn to trust her again and both must work together to stop this madman. The characters have depth even the minor ones. There’s great dialogue which keeps the storyline flowing. I loved how Elizabeth’s family stand beside her and help her through all the trials. You won’t be disappointed with this book.
I did receive this book through a contest and am glad I did. Found a new author to follow
