This is my Top #1 favorite Book Series … Love Gideon Cross
Sylvia Day is brilliant … I highly recommend this series.
If you haven’t read it yet, what are you waiting for
Loved this series
I love it.And I wish these one was make into a movie
All I can say it, thank heavens that this torture is finally over. It’s funny really, the author has expanded the series to be 5 books long, however by the end of it, it felt rushed with many unresolved issues. If you are not going to commit to write a strong concluding book to a series, do not do it in the first place. For example, what has happened with Cary, Tatiana and the baby? And what has happened with Corinne’s book? Has it been published?
It saddens be to say, but I did not connect with any of the characters, and certain character’s demise did not bring out feelings that it probably should have. While it was surprising, the feeling of sadness was fleeting. Almost as fleeting as the sadness that the characters felt. They seemed to move on pretty quickly after it happened, and not all character’s reaction was what I was expecting.
To be honest, I expected much more from One with You. It just seems to be all over the place, trying to wrap it all in one pretty bow but that wasn’t the case. I think that all of this didn’t have to be stretched out over the space of 5 books. Everything could have been fitted into 3 books as originally planned if only they scrapped all the dramatic, repetitive bullshit.
On the bright side, Eva has finally realized that her and Gideon have been using sex to fix their problems. That alone is one hell of an accomplishment.
Kuddos for trying to go without sex for three weeks. Unfortunately, they barely lasted a week. I really thought they would really give it a serious go and we would finally get a break from all the sex that usually takes over most of the plot, but I guess not all wishes go answered. It didn’t take long before they went at it like rabbits again.
Overall, One with You fell a bit short and the Epilogue was a bit disappointing. I really expected more. It just seemed to be bring up the same issues from previous books that should have been resolved long time ago. The only thing that redeemed this book was Lucky and Gideon’s friends. They really helped the plot big time.
The author did a great job of connecting you with the characters and building your connection to them. Loved the romance and drama! Love the wedding!
First of all I need to be honest I wasn’t too into the idea of reading this series, I hated 50 shades of grey but a friend Swore by it and a few days of intensely hot read, here I am.
I tried to read one book at a time but it was impossible for me to put them down long enough to write a review so, this is my opinion based on the whole series.
Holly cow they are good, Gideon is a broken man, he holds all the pieces of himself tight together but can’t glue himself back up. But when he meets Eva some part of him awakens and little by little he starts to be whole again.
Eva is a great character, she has so many facets, she’s strong, tender, intelligent but hides within herself all the fears her past created.
Together they are explosive apart they are nothing.
The side characters are perfect too each one has a contribution to the story in some way, whether it’s portraying the struggle of one of the characters or giving them a moment of peace. Every single one of them is so interesting I would love to have spin offs so we could explore them more.
This series is amazing, beautifully written with round characters, amazing world building and just so happens to have lots and I mean lots of sex in it. I doesn’t get boring it has a great pace, the conflicts are interesting because they have everything to do with the nature of Gideon and Eva’s relationship and all the secrets they keep.
I loved it. Have you guys read it?
I wish i had a gideon!!
I’m writing a review for the entire Crossfire series, which is one I think about even years after reading it.
I stumbled across this series by accident when I was browsing a Half Price Books store several years ago. There was a woman in the same section as me who was on the floor searching through a pile of books she’d pulled from the shelf in front of her. When I bypassed her, she stopped to apologize and asked if I needed in the area she was blocking. I told her no, because I was just browsing, and then she asked if I wanted a recommendation. I said, sure, why not, and she handed me a book from the top of the pile she was digging through. It was the first in the Crossfire series. She said she was frantically hunting the most recently published book in the series but hadn’t been able to find it in any of the discount bookstores because no one was selling it back. She had a limited budget for books and only allowed herself to buy from those kinds of stores but was about to give up her rule and buy it from Barnes & Noble down the street.
I figured that was a pretty good rec, so I bought it, as well as the next few books in the series (that were available at the Half Price Books I was at). Needless to say, I wound up purchasing the most recently released book on my Kindle a few days later because, like the woman I’d run across, I needed more.
Sadly, this is one of those stories I attempted to come back to recently and it doesn’t hold up as well as I remember it, which is the only reason I’m knocking a star off my overall rating. I loved it at the time, but it doesn’t necessarily hold up well over time and doesn’t lend itself to be re-read.
But if you’ve never read this series, I highly recommend it.
I can’t believe this is the end to Gideon and Eva. I can’t believe Sylvia saved best for the last. I didn’t want them to end their story, but they did end their story with a happy note. They finally got the happily ever after, after so many hurts and struggles and obstacles. I think Gideon was perfect book husband for me, but in reality he wasn’t for me. Sylvia Day, you are amazing at your art. Even though I will miss them desperately but she did promise a glimpse of them in the future projects. Definitely worth to read and listen. Also definitely worth more than 5************
A little abrupt on the ending. Otherwise, a decent ending.
Ohhhhh….I loved every bit of this book, and it delivered everything that I had hoped for! But I am so so so sad to see it end. I loved Eva and Gideon in Crossfire. They will be sadly missed.
Wow! Unpredictable, startling ending! I will miss these characters. I hope we see them in the future.
What can I say that hasn’t been said about this series. THE BEST LOVED IT everyone wants a Gideon Cross. The book boyfriend to end all book boyfriends.
SEXY, HOT Did I say HOT I meant sizzling HOT. Every book in this series is
wonderful and I can say I have read them 5 times each.
I loved it
I was really let down by this last book. It was not the author’s best work. It seemed a bit rushed. I read it again and still could not change my mind about it. The honeymoon was not what it meant to be in my mind.
If you want a series better than 50, read this. A great, steamy, can’t put it down series.
This whole series is amazing
Awesome book!!
Going into the “final” Crossfire book, I still had high hopes after the let down of Captivated. It’s hard to sum it up but I liked this more than book 4 but not as much as books 1-3. Yes, Gideon and Eva do come a long way in a short time but there were too many loose ends. I normally am ok when this happens but when certain plot points are harped on throughout several books, they deserve to be tied up. That’s one reason I don’t believe this will be the final book. I just hope if and when there is a book 6 that it goes back to its roots and is written out of the love of two characters and not for contractual obligations.
This was a great series and I’m sad that it’s over. I really wanted to love this book but I’m really disappointed on the way it ended. I love the emotional growth and intimacy between Gideon and Eva and the fact that they both were really committed to making there marriage work. I was expecting an epic ending for this ups and downs angst ridden couple. I feel cheated like we could’ve gotten more but we didn’t. I definitely wasn’t expecting the surprise twist about Eva mom so I guess that was good but we were left with so many unanswered questions to like what Cary love triangle ??? there was no conclusions there. Who really knows if Tatiana was really pregnant or if the baby was Cary. Trey was around but not really in the picture at all. Poor Cary was kinda left in the wind did they truly make up I guess we’ll never know. Gideon relationship was his mom was also a big question mark it was never resolve. We kinda got a glimpse of why Gideon brother Christopher hated him so much, but no real resolution there either. I was also wondering what happen to Corinne??? The epilogue was a joke REALLY? ONE MONTH LATER!!! That’s it?? To say that I was disappointed as a total understatement.
