Sylvia Day’s Crossfire Series is brilliant
Eva And Gideon’s final chapter is amazingly heartwarming and bittersweet. We rejoin the pair after Eva has left Gideon after one to many of his attempts to shield her from all the burdens he is dealing with. The straw that broke the camels back as it were is nothing in the grand scheme, but when coupled with everything else, Eva realizes that if she capitulates again she will be setting the precedence for how their marriage will forever play out. She must stand her ground now or forever feel resentful. Gideon knows that he has change and by starting make real painful but real efforts to be the man Eva wants he knows he can grow into the husband she deserves. A partner and confidante someone she can rely on an vis versa. The Crosses have a walked a long arduous road to find their happiest and no-one not even their own pigheadedness will take away what has been so hard fought for. It doesn’t stop the the outside forces from trying though, but the two have learn to weather the storms and the trust that they have built their love on is rock solid foundation. Now they are going by the old adage that the best offensive is a good defense. Gideon and Eva will have to stand as one to get the future they so richly deserve. But with enemies who are crazy enough to forget sense Eva and Gideon may just have to throw out the rulebook.
This series is one of my favorites. Totally blows fifty shades out of the water. Gideon and Eva have an incredible relationship with ups and downs, happy and sad times but you can still feel the love they have for each other. Eva has tried to move on but Gideon draws her back. They are, to me, a perfect couple. They make you believe in love. I absolutely love this book and the whole series.
Perfect! but i really wanted na epilogue.
Awesome read!
Powerful! I honestly didn’t know what to expect with the last installment of Gideon and Eva’s story. How do they continue and overcome so many obstacles and make it believable? Can they move past certain pains and heartache?
I read it in one day and was riveted from the beginning. It has a some twists/surprises and satisfied some questions while it left me craving for more.
Sylvia Day concluded this series with passion, heart and unconditional love – very classy. Thank you.
My favorite series!!!!! The crossfire has a very special place in my heart as is the first novel i’ve ever read and it blew my mind..
I love Eva and Gideon.. i love the relationship they have .. not only Eva is a very strong and determine heroine, she is the only one who stands up to Gideon and is the only one Gideon really care about.. their relationship is explosive, passionate and very deep… they can’t live without each other even thou Eva thinks they need to have a more independent relationship but still her heart feels different.. this is the final book of the series.. and i will keep reading it all the time because I haven’t found a series that really steals my heart as this one has… Gideon the most amazing Alpha male i ever read.. he is strong, controlling and always showing his power even in the way he walks and conquers every room and every single part of Eva’s life.. their love is consuming and very passionate.. the sex is AMAZING… A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! lucky Eva …. in this final book we get to see everything we’ve been waiting for.. What happens with Corinne, with all the secrets Monica has… we also get a glimpse of the relationship of Gideon and Christopher how are they going to end.. in this book we still have so many conflicts but still you can see and feel how much mature they are.. specially Gideon and Eva.. they are more comfortable around Corinne and they don’t let her or anybody to mess around with their relationship and their lives… i like that in this book you can see how much all the characters have grown and how they have actually come to terms and be happy for one an other…
Even thou i wish the ending was a little more Happier and less chaotic but i guess their life was never calm .. they were a hurricane together and that somehow makes it hard to make a more happily ending.. (i guess) but still i wish Monica was still there, that Eva and her would have a better relationship..that they had the wedding of their lives… i wish we could see Elizabeth Vidal regretting what she did to Gideon, i wish we could also see more about Anne and Dr. Terrence specially how they pay for what they did to Gideon… but still i love the book …
There is so many things i wish that happened but still Crossfire is my favorite of all time.. I will keep Gideon and Eva in my heart and i will continue recommending this series to everybody… FOREVER!!!!
This was a great series
I think this book tied up the series nicely. It didn’t feel too rushed and it didn’t feel like it was a superfluous book. There was plenty going on to keep the reader interested and rooting for the lead characters.
The one thing I wish we had more closure on is the situation with Cary. We don’t really get to see how his life turned out. I would love to see a spin off series that would cover what happens next for him…it could even have the obvious cameos with Gideon and Eva! (Perhaps this has already happened?)
Other than that, I think if you liked the rest of the series, you will enjoy this final chapter.
Loved this entire series. Well written, great characters, and believable dialogue. Don’t feel like I am reading a series written by a high school student. Story flows and is easy to read. Loved it! Read it more than once!!
Junk! There was too much time spent on other things and not on the main story line
