The heat in the kitchen can’t match the heat in the bedroom… worse, I’m supposed to be spending the weekend with my controlling mother, and the rest of my wacked out family.
Then my GPS fails me, I skid into a tree, wreck my car, and flooding means I’m stuck in a hick town with no way out.
My only hope is the tiny town’s local mechanic who makes it clear he does not want me cramping his style.
Turns out, Xavier isn’t just a mechanic.
He’s a former Green Beret.
And he’s decidedly cagey about why he’s in the middle of nowhere.
Between his fully stocked pantry, his taste in wine, and his sex appeal, being in close quarters with him is sure to be a recipe for disaster…
If you love Alpha Male Protectors, Opposites Attract, Accidental Romance and Steamy Action Adventure stories with a HEA…The One Wild Weekend Series was written for you!
If you’re looking for the next Christian Grey you WILL NOT find him here. You WILL find hot men who know how to protect and please, smart woman, and unpredictable plot twists in a standalone.
Warning: R-18 for language, content and scenes that WILL keep you up nights and MAY cause you to spontaneously combust…

Great story and would have rated as 5 stars if not for the terrible grammatical errors – fire your Editor Lexi.
Cute story. Some parts were very not realistic but a very nice action, romantic story. Easy to read.
Love it
It’s a short read, done in less then a couple hours. I’ve enjoyed this series so far and this one was a good addition. I didn’t like this one as much as i liked some of the others, but it was still a good read. It was intense, and sexy.

New to this series. They aren’t numbered but there are many. This story was an okay read for me. It’s about Carrie, who has just been dumped by her boyfriend.. Carrie is a chef by trade so she’s going to see it all around her but she is dreading her Valentine’s Day. Now, Carrie gets to spend the day with her family, her crazy family. Unbeknownst, an accident saves the day and she ends up in a small town for the weekend instead with a grumpy but gorgeous- hot mechanic. Xavier just caught a break. Keeping yourself together during the Valentine day weekend when you kind of man states it over is hard. While you are the head chef and have over 50 special couples to the restaurant you work in mayhem. And after that you have to go to the lodge to spend with your mother who over criticizes as she is the matriarch is damning, so it will be a relief when you get in a car accident by hydroplaning into a tree. There is the small town a mechanic who is an distraction attraction on a stick helps you forget, so why is he so suspicious about what in your suitcase when he sees your knives? As a chef you’ve never met one who didn’t travel with their extension of themselves. Where you to ready to jump the cutting board for a steamy interlude or is he just off serving dish. China’s and mayhem meets dysfunctional family in the Cliffhanger

This is a great read! A great series! Xavier is working as a mechanic in a little town. Carrie is a chef. She is coming through this small town because she took a wrong turn and then her car hit a tree and now her car needs help. She needs help. She is a feisty, spunky, independent, talented chef, somewhat well-known. She walks to Xavier’s shop and he agrees to help her. Xavier says the car will take a couple of days. Xavier is moody, mysterious, hunky, sexy, ex Special Forces, and sizzling hot. They get stuck in the apartment above the shop by bad weather – rain, wind, power outage, no phone, no electricity. Carrie was on her way to a family reunion at a lodge. The storm and her car are keeping her at the shop. Things will start to heat up! There is family drama, danger, intrigue, passion, steamy hot sex, sizzling chemistry. Why is Xavier so mysterious? What is he hiding? Who is he really? Carrie is holding back on her family, holding back on Xavier. You really will not be disappointed. Really great read!

Another One Wild Weekend With series story. Chef Carrie is dreading her Valentine’s Day, her boyfriend has dumped her, she has to work and she gets to spend the weekend with her crazy a$$ family. However, she gets into an accident and finds herself in a small town for the weekend instead with a grumpy but hot mechanic. Carrie’s weekend may be looking up as there is more to Xavier than meets the eye. A fast paced story with a whole lot of sexy steaminess between these two characters but as things heat up so does the thought of a HEA. Is that even possible? Enjoy!

Carrie and Xavier have amazing chemistry but their meeting doesn’t start out exactly in the best of ways. I liked getting to see Xavier open up and how Carrie got under his skin. She hasn’t had the best past few days and Xavier proves to be the distraction she needs. What starts out as a necessity, quickly turns into something more.

This book is definitely not a favorite from the author. Although the book did flow, I found the couple rather unrelatable and a bit lacking.

I absolutely loved this book! Carrie and Xavier meet when she is headed to her family reunion at a ski resort and the weather causes her to hit a tree with her car. She finds Xavier working as a mechanic and hopes he can help her. He is in town on a secret mission and isn’t supposed to engage with anyone. He drops his guard with Carrie and soon the two are in each other’s arms. He knows he needs to let her go and he does, although reluctantly. After she leaves, his waiting pays off when the place they are watching calls him with a job. He takes it and runs into Carrie again. He helps her to stand up to her overbearing mother, gives her information she doesn’t know about her brother and in the end, saves her life when things at the resort go south! In the end, he makes her an offer she can’t refuse after her weekend at the resort created chaos in her life.
