Horses aren’t the only thing she wants to ride…
I should be a little more excited about visiting a working ranch in Montana.
I mean, there is an actual cowboy on the brochure, and he is smoking hot.
And maybe if I wasn’t a workaholic, I’d be looking forward to getting away from it all more than I am.
But my brain doesn’t have an off switch, and the cowboy who looked good enough to eat on … switch, and the cowboy who looked good enough to eat on the brochure, just doesn’t cut it in the flesh.
While Liam is an over the top flirt who grates on my nerves, his half-brother Tyler is the exact opposite.
He’s just as gorgeous, but he’s rude, gruff, and hates his brother’s agritourism idea as much as he hates his long-lost brother.
Something is decidedly off at the Laughing Cat Ranch, and I aim to get to the bottom of it…
Well, after Tyler and I make use of the bed in the fishing cabin.

Horses aren’t the only thing to ride… well, Lexi Hart, wasn’t kidding. In fact, there wasn’t a whole lot of horse riding in this novel!!
Let’s start at the beginning – Zoe is this workaholic heroine, who is dedicated to her job and when she isn’t working, which isn’t often, she spends her time trying to avoid Derek, her rather persistent ex. Anyroads, her best friend, Molly, was meant to be going to a dude ranch for the weekend, but she can’t go, so she persuades Zoe to take some time off. But there is something off at the ranch. The owner, Liam, despite his good looks and charms, gives Zoe the creeps. His half-brother, however, the smouldering Tyler, is an altogether different story.
This novel is a super-fast read, perfect to while away an hour or so. But I must admit, I did enjoy the second half of this novel more than the first, especially when Zoe puts on her detective hat and begins to piece together exactly what has been going on at the ranch. By the time she discover the harrowing truth behind the glossy website and the beautiful location, I was hooked, there was no way I was putting this novel down!
Zoe was a character that I really came to care about. She is very independent, very driven, and it was a pleasure to read about a heroine, who doesn’t uproot her whole life because she has fallen in love. She doesn’t have to change who she is, and although Tyler does not either, he certainly seems to develop a confidence and understanding as the novel progresses.
I really liked Tyler. He is a very down to earth character who is determined to keep the ranch going, but he is also in a very abusive relationship with his brother and is blindsided by his father’s death and the disappearance of his girlfriend, which perhaps explains why he seems so terribly blinkered to what is actually going on around him. His fear of disappointing his dead father keeps him tied to the ranch, Which unfortunately means he is controlled to quite an extent by his brother.
Liam, the antagonist in this tale, is a really vile man. Zoe instantly takes a dislike to him, which is not surprising as she is meant to be on holiday, not trying to avoid the predators glare of her host. Liam’s treatment of Tyler is appalling. He gives him all the horrible jobs, he undermines him and cares not one wit about the animals on the ranch. Tyler spends so much time banging his head against a wall that he does not see Liam for what he truly is – an abusive and vile individual. Liam certainly brought a darker, menacing side to this story which made it unputdownable.
I really enjoyed this novel and I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Zoe has been working on a report for 5 hours and is in need of a break. Molly, Zoe’s friend owns a coffee shop that is across the street from Zoe’s office. Molly has won a weekend stay at a ranch and she can’t go so she talks Zoe into going. Tyler is doing his work when his step-brother Liam tells him that he will need to give a guest a riding lesson that afternoon. Tyler is not happy with dealing with the guests of the ranch. As soon as Zoe gets to the ranch and meets Liam she is on edge around him. As Liam is talking to her, she is getting more on edge. Once she meets Tyler she rather be with him than Liam. The horse that Tyler is supposed to use for the ride is hurt and can’t be ridden. Zoe is not going to stay put while Tyler goes to find the vet so she goes with him. They run into bad weather and end up staying at a cabin until someone can come and get them. When they get back to the ranch, Zoe decides to leave, but something tells her things are not what the seem to be at the ranch. Tyler is not happy with the way Liam is running the ranch. Zoe asks Tyler to tell her about Liam and the ranch. Things come to a head when Zoe can’t find anything on Liam before he came to the ranch.
Can Zoe and Tyler get to the bottom of what Liam is doing and save the ranch?
This was a very enjoyable read and I would recommend it to anyone.

I loved this book. It was fast paced and really tight in action and the development of the plot and characters left you no doubt you know what is happening.
Tyler is a gruff, quiet ranch hand who meets Zoe, a workaholic FBI agent when she comes for a short break away at the ranch. Things are not as they seem at all and much drama ensues. Tyler and Zoe’s chemistry just sizzles once they get drawn into it. This book is so fast, easy to read and loved the plot. I have to admit I think this is my favorite so far in the One Weekend With series. So worth it!
This was an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review. Very very good!
Good mix of investigation and romance
4.5
Very good surprising romance because at first, it begins as a simple romance to evolve into a complex investigation, mixing feelings, lies, murders.
The story is very well written, with good characters, endearing and moving.
Zoe spends a weekend on a ranch in order to use the gift from her friend who cannot come. There she meets Liam, in whom she quickly has no confidence, and her half-brother Tyler. She and Tyler find themselves stuck in a thunderstorm and she discovers both the man and his story, but most of all, as an FBI agent, she senses that something is wrong in this ranch.

Fast, easy read. Steamy
On 08/17/2021 I completed “One Wild Weekend with Tyler” (nook). I enjoyed the story and the unraveling of the background mystery. However, I was disappointed with several typos as well as incorrect word usage and incorrect punctuation.
Too short.
Beautiful characters and wonderful story line. Lexi Hart stories are easy to read and definitely a page turner.

I loved this one. It was filled with drama, some intense suspense and action. Tyler and Zoe come from two different worlds, but they work so well together and their chemistry is high. It’s not an overly long read, I finished it in just a couple hours because I didn’t want to put it down. This one is my favorite of the One Wild Weekend With series.

Zoe works for the forensics accounting of FBI. So basically she’s an FBI agent. She researches various accounts of those who are coming up on the radar to see where this money is going and the final paper trails. She’s not supposed to be doing fieldwork. Her fieldwork is her computer. So she’s kind of persons brain doesn’t shut off specially when she gets a hunch typical. She goes on vacation because she is forced to buy her best friend. She’s double dared to go on this”dude ranch” in Montana. Once their somethings a little off. She can’t put a finger on it but she knows somethings up. Liam who is now the brochures seems a little swarmy. Always smiling trying to be the charmer. Gives her the creeps. And then there’s Tyler. Surly angry stomping around not really pleasant. Surprisingly they are brothers. So Tyler is mad at Liam who seems to be the loss long brother he didn’t know we had. Liam gets the ranch after their father dies. This ends up to be a suspense romance Kinda because body start popping up our bodies keep disappearing and Tyler seems to be the connection. Zoe and Tyler make a connection by having relations being stuck in a rainstorm. But did she make the wrong choice? Can she figure out what is going on with the ranch since her brain is clicked on telling her there’s something wrong. Is Tyler the one who’s making all these people disappear? No cliffhanger. Definitely action packed in and out of the sheets.

This well written, book 7 in the Alpha Male Protectors, Opposites Attract, Accidental Romance and Steamy Action Adventure has great characters that are well crafted and have a great chemistry. This book and The One Wild Weekend Series has intrigue, danger, threats, and twists and turns. It’s fast-paced and filled with sizzling heat. Must read where she is FBI Forensic Accountant, Zoe and a ranch hand Tyler go on a rollercoaster ride of love, loss, and a bit of treachery
I loved these characters and the story lines. Tyler was done wrong by his half brother, Liam when there father died. Liam is a bad man who can’t be trusted. He is a womanizer and uses them for no good and then gets rid of them. He makes it so it was Tyler who did bad things when it was Liam. He doesn’t get caught until Zoe comes to the ranch and sees what is going on and has a wild weekend with Tyler. Tyler nor Liam have no idea what Zoe does for a living. Zoe does some investigating on Liam and Tyler. In the end Zoe goes back to the ranch to get Liam to confuse and take him into custody. Liam has other ideas until Tyler shows up with the sheriff and Deputies who come to take control of Liam. Zoe goes back to Houston and later Tyler comes to Houston with interesting news that has them together again. Love the story. I had a hard time putting it down cause I wanted to find out what was going to happen next. Can’t wait till the next book.

A new author to me. I have mixed feelings about this particular story. The plot is conflicting for me. The story is about This book is about Zoe and Tyler. Zoe is an FBI agent and Tyler owns a ranch with his brother Liam. Liam is smooth and flirty but Tyler is opposite while hot, he’s gruff and irritated. Zoe, of course, falls for Tyler. I had conflicted feelings over their romance. Zoe is basically in the relationship and has even been beaten up due to it, while Tyler shows no concern and is constantly thinking about his ex.

This is another great story in The One Wild Weekend series. A workaholic woman that figures a weekend at a ranch is a good way to recharge. There is instant attraction between our workaholic and our broody cowboy but when they come together, wow. Enjoy!

Lexi Hart did a great job on this story, the plot was written well. Zoe and Tyler’s journey was a little bump but these two were made for each other. They were drawn to each other. The chemistry between them was sexy. They were great together. I enjoyed their journey.
This was a great story. Thank you, Lexi. Hart. Great work 🙂
