A hilariously steamy, classmates-neighbors-enemies to lovers romantic comedy with a fun internet celebrity twist. Was it too much to ask for one wild week away from college, away from the cold weather, and away from my classmates? That’s all I wanted. A spring break vacation where I could live my best life with my friends and get a little crazy for once. Possibly, drink too many cocktails on the … too many cocktails on the beach, wear the skimpy bikini I bought, and have a no-strings-attached, tropical escapade with a co-ed.
Sounds perfect, right?
Well, it didn’t happen because my dumbass missed the nonrefundable flight.
And if it wasn’t bad enough that I was stranded on an empty, snow-covered campus over my senior year spring break, it was about to get a whole lot worse…because he’s still here too.
The tall, dark smart ass. The cocky classmate I’ve been rolling my eyes at since freshman year. The annoying internet star who everyone thinks is hilarious.
Julien Carson.
So you know what? Screw it.
It’s just a few days, and nobody has to know. Plus, I guess he’s not so bad to look at when he’s saying all the right things and making all the right moves. Maybe I don’t have to fly thousands of miles for a spring fling because I can’t come up with a single reason why Julien shouldn’t be my… One Week Stand.

This was so fun! I’m used to the angsty side of M. Mabie’s writing but I loved this just as much. The title says it all- it was a cute, very steamy, funny storyline. Julian has had a bit of a crush on Peyton the last few years at college. But he finally decides to make his move on an upcoming trip to Cancun over Spring Break. But there is only one problem- their plane is about to take off and she’s still not there. So he doesn’t get on the plane. Peyton shows up at the gate a few minutes later disappointed. But later that night he invites her over for consolation tacos and he takes his chance. She quickly realizes she can get her spring fling after all with a staycation with Julian. But could it be more?
Their banter and chemistry was great and like I said already, some very steamy scenes that had me turning the pages.
One Week Stand ticks all my romance loving boxes with classmates-to-enemies-to-neighbors to lovers! Add in some sexy flirty banter and seriously laugh out loud romance and I’m in heaven!
READ THIS BOOK. READ THIS BOOK NOW. READ THIS BOOK BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE! Let me count the ways I love this college romancer. I didn’t realize how much I needed a good, hard laugh that nearly collapsed my lungs … and M. Mabie delivered BIG-TIME. I’m so in love with her right now. Who knew that she had that kind of funny snark and blistering chemistry in her with one hearty laugh after another. I was so plugged into this hysterical story from the first page. It was the most fun I’ve had between the pages in a long time.
The enemies-to-lovers story between students Peyton and Julien had me in stitches. When both miss a spring break vacay in paradise, Julien finally makes his move and brings paradise to Peyton for a staycay that turns into a “one week stand”. Watching this play out was priceless. Peyton and Julien have simply the best oil-and-water chemistry. Smart, snappy comebacks, raucous fun, and hot sex. Every line was hilarious. Each gives as good as they get, which flowed seamlessly.
Every moment of their “one week stand” made me smile, swoon, and laugh. And the humor sustains nearly to the end when things take a more meaningful turn. Read this outrageously engaging quickie read and see an entirely new side to M. Mabie. What happens when a lovesick guy puts Plan B in motion?

Favorite Quotes:
“I’m sorry. You’re so pretty. Don’t be mad.” He’s backtracking. “I’ll never do it again.”
Honestly, someone should write the software engineers over at the makers of mobile devices to come up with some kind of f*ing warning when you’re getting hate on a viral level. Like when you open the screen, it could say, “Hey, just so you know, you should probably take a Xanax and a shot of tequila before going any further. Because what’s going on with you online today isn’t cute.”
My Review:
Turn up all the fans and air conditioning as high as possible as this one is a scorcher that had me gasping and smirking, then gasping some more. Oh! My! This New Adult Romantic Comedy will be a boon for condom sales. I am chartreuse with envy over this sweary and snarky couple’s stamina and sensual expertise as the only time my bedroom has seen my body “flushed, ears to ankles” has been during a craptastic illness with a high fever.
I adore Ms. Mabie’s clever and irreverent humor and I loved her City Limits rom/com series. Her storylines and writing were lively and fun, super-steamy, and laced with sharp wit and spicy levity. Long after finishing I am continuing to sip ice water in attempts to cool down and calm my breath, and it seems my face is still oddly sporting a naughty grin that I just can’t seem to wipe away.
What a great story! I have read several books by M. Mabie and this one is out of the park! This book was definitely different from any other books I have read by M. Mabie but I loved every word of it. I loved the storyline and it closed perfectly.
This one had me smiling, laughing and falling in love. I loved Juliens sense of humor and dedication of his attraction to Peyton. I also loved Peyton’s sense of humor to fight back I with whatever Julien threw at her.
One Week Stand is a standalone and a short read. I would love to get more of Julien and Peyton.

Witty, hilarious story with a great twist. I love enemies to lovers stories like this!
OMG I LOVED THIS SO HARD!!! Yes, I’m yelling, but it needed to be done! This was so much fun and sexiness rolled up into a can’t-put-it-down-till-you’re-done book of funness! (And making my own words up too). Julien was absolutely the best, funny, charming, hot, and literally did whatever he could to get Peyton. She just cracked me up, between her absolute attitude in the beginning, and then how much she was with him later on. I just loved everything about this. Completely & totally!!! You must must must get this!!!
A stretch away from my last Mo book so I didn’t really know what to expect. Everything from the cover to the chapter titles had me ready to roll. And once I started I think I only stopped to…nope, Im pretty sure I read it straight through.
I could already tell Peyton was going to be a fun character from the way she speaks about Airport security to how she talks to herself in a scolding manner. One missed trip and a couple tacos later then hilariousness ensues. I can’t remember the last time I snort giggled so many times in a row. Has to be some kind of record. I immediately loved Peyton and Julien and the banter they shared. It is told in both of their perspectives and both had me in stitches. I loved the way there was no time wasted and their story was just short enough for comfort and just long enough to give me all the deets. And you are going to want all those deets, trust me(can we say YOWZA?!).
One Week Stand was the perfect amount of humor and steam that had me giggling and swooning and craving more. Fantastic read that has me wanting I read it all over again.
Classmates to neighbors…Enemies to lovers! I love a good romantic comedy. M. Mabie brings the steam between the funny moments!
This is just the cutest, quirkiest little story! I want to pick up Peyton n Julien and put them in my pocket for safe keeping. This story is supposed to start off as a sneaky rendezvous then turns into one really naughty week then turns into a huge internet drama llama. There’s a ton of comedy, tons of VERY hawt moments and a few “Awww” moments that make you want to give them each a hug. Loved this couple!
I’ve met this author two or three times now at signings and I’ve always walked away thinking, “she’s really funny, like quick wit funny.” However, her books are usually angsty as heck and I LOVE that about her, but she’s put the angst on the shelf for a minute with this read and introduced us to something new from her. I felt like this book was an ode to her brand of self humor and it was a fun read.
The humor was a little over the top for me at times, mostly because Julien occasionally had a case of diarrhea of the mouth, lol, but it worked because Peyton finally starts to see him as more than this annoying guy who gives her crap in a few classes and instead realizes he’s entertaining, ingenius, infamous, and can make her laugh while seducing her…and seduce her he does. For one whole week Julien and Peyton are wrapped up in nothing but each other, hence the title, and it’s funny, but also pretty hot. Okay, it’s really hot. Is it a little instalove? Yes, but considering they are together 24-7 for a whole week and have known each other for 4 years I let it slide. There’s nothing real deep about this story, it’s just a good entertaining read, like a nice spring break getaway. There is a Youtube/online/social media subplot that I did really enjoy and appreciate the depth and conflict it brought to the story arc, the conflict was just corrected pretty quickly…I could have done with drawing it out a bit more, make our MC’s miserable for a little while longer, but then that would be the old angsty Mo 🙂
ℎ , — ℎ . This book has everything!
This book is quite different from what author M. Mabie has written in the past. Different
as in a unique and a lighter romance read.
Julien and Peyton. Enemies to Lovers..or are they enemies? One Spring Break changes everything between them.
Sassy, sweet, spicy, witty, humorous, intense chemistry between the main characters…just a great read.
