Breakout sensation Monica Murphy takes the New Adult genre by storm with the deeply emotional, completely addicting story of Drew and Fable.
Temporary. That’s the word I’d use to describe my life right now. I’m temporarily working double shifts — at least until I can break free. I’m temporarily raising my little brother — since apparently our actual mother doesn’t give a crap about either of … give a crap about either of us. And I always end up as nothing but the temporary girlfriend — the flavor of the week for every guy who’s heard the rumor that I give it up so easily.
At least Drew Callahan, college football legend and local golden boy, is upfront about it. He needs someone to play the part of his girlfriend for one week. In exchange for cash. As if that’s not weird enough, ever since he brought me into his world, nothing really makes sense. Everyone hates me. Everyone wants something from him. And yet the only thing Drew seems to want is… me.
I don’t know what to believe anymore. Drew is sweet, sexy, and hiding way more secrets than I am. All I know is, I want to be there for him — permanently.

I can’t believe I m only reading this book now. I don’t know how it slipped by me but I luvd it so much. I’m so glad I listen to my friend and read it. The book is so good I really enjoyed it. Both these characters have had a hard time. But they both come from very different lifestyles. Drew is a guy that has it …
Love this series! The characters! The conflict! The writing! Realistic, heartfelt, and beautifully done! Racing to the next book in the series!
This book was steamier than I’d first thought but I really enjoyed the story and deep connection to the characters. Can’t wait to read more by this author. If you like this book try Retreat To Me (The Second Chance Romance Series Book 1)
One week girlfriend/therapist
Too many bad things happen in life. Drew’s life is no exception. Money and prestige are nothing. He can’t run from his demons so he asks Fable to help shield him.
Fable has seen too many of these guys and wants nothing to do with Drew. But desperate times call for one week girlfriends, she folds and agrees.
This week …
This is the first book that I read from Monica Murphy. ‘One week girlfriend’ is a new adult story and it ends with a cliffhanger. (Luckily, I knew this before I started the book.) I really liked the story so I will definitely read the next book to see what happen next with Drew and Fable.
Fable hasn’t had an easy life. Being poor and having a …
This was a beautifully written story with complex characters and a very engaging story line. Drew and Fable’s relationship was intense, passionate, sweet and heartbreaking at times. It has been a while since I had read something so moving, definitely touched my heart! Loved it and highly recommend the series!
Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because I was fooled into thinking it was a Novel instead of part of a series.
Cute story. The male character was a tad weak, but really cute.
I liked the characters and the story.
Good read.
I found it to be too many words. It was difficult to follow the logic of a young man at 15 being seduced by his stepmother. He was bigger, stronger and it seems that his father would have believed him had he confided in him.
CLIFFHANGERS==LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THESE BOOKS!!!
Yes, I Loved This Book, I Hate That It Was A Cliffhanger, But The Good News Is That The 2nd Book In This Series Is Already Out.
This Book Contained A Strong, Emotional Story Line. It Was A Little Predictable And The Characters Had Way To Much Baggage And Need To Do A Little More Growing Up …
