Based on the tragedy of the Twin Towers … two powerful novels of heroism, loss, and redemption by New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury
ONE TUESDAY MORNING
The last thing Jake Bryan knew was the sound of the World Trade Center collapsing on top of him and his fellow firefighters. The man in the hospital bed remembers nothing. Not rushing with his teammates up the stairway of the … Not rushing with his teammates up the stairway of the south tower to help trapped victims. Not being blasted from the building. And not the woman sitting by his bedside who says she is his wife. Jamie Bryan will do anything to help her beloved husband regain his memory. But that means helping Jake rediscover the one thing Jamie has never shared with him: his deep faith in God.
BEYOND TUESDAY MORNING
Determined to find meaning in her grief three years after the terrorist attacks on New York City, FDNY widow Jamie Bryan pours her life into volunteer work at a small memorial chapel across from where the Twin Towers once stood. There, unsure and feeling somehow guilty, Jamie opens herself to the possibility of love again. But, in the face of a staggering revelation, only the persistence of a tenacious man, questions from Jamie’s curious daughter, and words from her dead husband’s journal can move Jamie beyond one Tuesday morning … toward life.

Great read and good caracters
I have really enjoyed many books by Karen Kingsbury and would like to read more.
Probably feels a little dated now, but well written and a good read.
I’ve finished reading One Tuesday Morning but have just started reading Beyond Tuesday Morning. I really enjoyed reading this book written to give a perspective from what could have been two families touched by the 9-11 tragedy. Their stories were gripping and hopeful, even though I could tell partway through the book how they would most likely turn out. The endings left me feeling a lot better about how God works good out of the most horrible situations. And the author obviously did a lot of research about 9-11 and its immediate aftermath, which gave me a better understanding about how difficult it was for the folks directly impacted by it.
I’ll update my review once I complete Beyond Tuesday Morning, which I expect to be every bit as gripping as the first book.
Would recommend this book. I love all of Karen Kingsbury books.
I read it for the second time and liked it both times.
Love these two books. I like how it seemed like the story plot was real . I showed how you have to learn to trust Jesus that he is going to take care of us. Great books.
Karen Kingsbury is an amazing author. Her stories feel so real. I love all of her books
For most of us, September 11, 2001 is burned into our minds – where we were, what we were doing, how we found out — when the planes hit the buildings. This fictional account of people who could have been In the twin towers is riveting. A “must read”!
Not one of her best works but a good read never the less.
Awesome book, emotionally draining at times.
This was a sad read, but it spoke to so many of the emotions that American’s had about 9/11. My son is a firefighter and this made it particularly hard for me, but God peered through the pain and met me there. I enjoyed this book very much!!
Excellent novels combining a real happening into a fictional story. Couldn’t put it down once I started the two books in one.
I loved this book; it gave me a glimpse into what very possibly happened to someone in the aftermath of September 11th. It is on of my all time favorites.
This is a cannot miss author. Her books are informative and I find my self spell-bound when reading.
One Tuesday Morning is the story of how two men who looked identical met on the stairway of the World Trade Center just after it was attacked on 9/11. One died in that tragic event, and the other lost his memory. However, the fellow firefighters of the one who died found him and recognized him. This is the story of the survivor’s journey back to God, what happened as his memory slowly returned, and how the wife of the man who died finally came to the same faith her husband had faithfully lived before her.
Beyond Tuesday Morning continues the story of these two main characters. The characters are realistic and their struggles are clearly portrayed. The story inspires believers to live their faith every day, trusting that God will do His mighty work in our loved ones who don’t yet believe.
CAN’T BEAT A KAREN KINGSBURY BOOK
Life can be heart wrenching but God will get us through it when we depend on Him.
