Dragon love burns bright, can she survive the flames?73,114 wordsGraeme made his way to Serenity for one very specific, hopefully-deadly reason, but a few friendly wolf shifters on the Serenity Police Department almost made him reconsider his centuries-old death wish. His body, however, remembers it well, acting upon it when he is unable.Heather Herrin has just received news that threatens to … received news that threatens to change everything for her, but when she sees a half-naked beast of a man in a hospital bed, he takes center stage in her thoughts, giving her some relief. Until he runs hot then cold so often she almost gives up on him, having no way of knowing he’s someone that will make her entire life make sense.
Are Graeme’s reasons for turning down what he thought he’d never be blessed to have enough to keep them apart? Or will Heather manage to break through his walls in time to save them both?

I can listen to this hot little dragons voice allllll dang day. growl! set me on fire anytime dragon. the narrator is not the best but the story is so good that has me more interested. I am pretty dedicated to this series anyways.
Wayyyyy Better Than the First Installment!
This book focused way more on the romance. Not much action happened in this book which was what I needed and expected out of this book. OH MY GOD, Lisa Ladew does know how to keep a series going by ending this book with a cliff hanger. Now I’m starting to realize that this series isn’t just about the romance going on. It’s something more than that and that is what’s keeping me hooked into this series. I WILL BE CONTINUING ON WITH THE NEXT BOOK, OF COURSE!
Dragon love…oh, my!
Loved so much more than the 1st book.
Graeme is trying to deal with his past by helping to conquer a current enemy.
Enter Heather who is so confused about things in her memory.
Love how they came to each other.
This one just about broke my heart. I have an affinity for all things dragon, so when Graeme is so weary and guilt ridden he wants to give up the will to live, it about broke my heart. Lisa Ladew has given her characters personality traits so distinctively flawed they’re relatable on so many levels. But what Graeme lacks Heather makes up for. She’s got such a strong personality that just won’t give up. This is one of those romances that keeps you intrigued and hope burning for the right thing to happen and bring you the HEA you’re looking for. I’m beginning to like this series more and more.
Heather and Graeme’s story is full of angst. Heather doesn’t fit into her family or society and she thinks she is failing at life. Graeme has been on his own for centuries and believes he is the last dragen and would end his life if he could work out how. He fights the pull he feels for Heather but eventually he realises he has to accept his One True Mate. This is a great second book in the series. The shiften are accepting that there are True Mates and that there is hope for the future with children. Look forward to meeting more of the mates.
This is book 2 in her series. It was different from the first one with twist and fun with funny curves in the story. This one was more difficult to read but still easy reading the story the story still went quick. I had trouble reading the book and was done reading the book before I realized it. I really like how the author handles the book and series.
One True Mate 2
They are all back the Felen, Foxen, Wolfen, Dragen and the fight against Khain the Great Destroyer rages on.
Book two starts off with Graeme, one of the heroes from book one, still in a coma and barely hanging on.
Heather Herrin feels an affinity to fire and rescues lizards in her spare time to be able to return them to the wild.
Graeme wakes after two weeks in a coma feeling better than he has in years and asks about the woman he saw at his bedside.
A chance meeting at the police station has Graeme feeling possessive towards Heather and fighting it all the way. Heather’s attraction to him is just as strong but she isn’t fighting it. He keeps sending mixed signals that has her frustrated and heartsick.
This continuation is great and I look forward to the next one.
