Very good book
Didn’t finish. Needs an editor. Story is plodding, lots of problems with word usage.
4 stars for One True Mate by Julie Trettel. This is book one in the Westin Pack Series. This is a paranormal werewolf romance. Kelsey has been on her own and is terrified of what she is. Kyle is the soon to be alpha of the Westin Pack and has been waiting for his One True Mate. He finds her in the lone wolf who comes to their land. When they start to discover more about Kelsey everything changes. I enjoyed this story and how different it was from other books in the same genre. I don’t want to give too much away so I am going to leave it at that.
Who wouldn’t love a true love story…it’s getting to the details of why it happened the way it did. The author had a great story line and as it progressed it turned into a real tragic but action-packed tale. The characters were very well described and you could get a feel of the emotions as the story took it’s twists and turns. I enjoyed this book.
This one is just OK for a light read. A wolf shifter who is supposed to be an Alpha is willing to wait two years without making his “true mate” aware of the fact that they’re meant to be together? Speaking of which, the story suddenly jumps ahead two years with no warning or segue into the jump. This was confusing at first. The editing could have been improved with some typos and misused words. Plus, who issues a challenge to the pairing of so-called “true mates” who supposedly literally can’t live without each other? I didn’t ‘get’ that part of the story. I appreciate the work this author put into this story, but a good editor would have made a big difference.
Neeeds some good editing.
I loved this book! Even when you think you see things coming, you really don’t. If you love fated mate wolf shifter books, this is for you! Highly recommend!
