This was a lonnnnng book! haha. I’m a huge fan of Jade and her writing. She’s very dirty which I love! This book was dirty, yes, but so much more! It was deep, into relationships. Not just between a couple, like husband and wife, but between brothers, Sisters, Father and son. It was a great read.

Grace and Brett are a couple that are drifting apart, bogged down by stress, money problems, and just being too tired and overwhelmed to try to even bother with sex anymore.
Until one day, a handsome stranger who calls himself Thomas comes into their resort and has a proposition for them…$50,000 for one night with Grace. But Brett has to watch.
Sounds like a hot book, no? Well, it is. HAF. The sex is crazy good. But it turns into SO MUCH MORE. Secrets, lies, love, deception, and a bombshell twist. Plus, like, a lot of hot sex. A lot.
I was up till the wee hours reading this one. Perfection. Loved it.

I almost set this book aside several times. I hated the guys in the story, for most of the book. And not in a love-to-hate kind of way either. They’re both terrible human beings.
It says something for Jade’s writing that I persevered. Grace, the heroine, was a likable character and Brett and Thomas somewhat redeemed themselves by the end of their story. And the sex is hot and well-written.
Definitely worth checking out.

This book BLEW ME AWAY!! It was so very naughty yet also raw & emotional. I took to Brett and Grace immediately, however it took awhile for Thomas to grow on me because he was such an a**. Really makes ya think about how far would you be willing to go to keep the things that you love. And would the sacrifices really be worth it in the end.

The idea isn’t new, One Too Many is much like the movie Indecent Proposal. Wealthy and handsome man offers up a load of cash for one night with your wife. The difference here being that the husband needs to be there, non-negotiable.
Another difference is that the wealthy and handsome man has a personal stake in it and it isn’t a kind one. He wants the marriage to fail as part of some misdirected payback from a wrong he believes was delivered to him in his youth.
^^I was good with all of that.
The story also takes the turns you’d expect. Wife enjoys the night all too much. Husband has feelings of not being able to bring his wife the same pleasure. Insecurities and jealousies abound.
^^I was good with all of that, too.
There was some unexpected items woven in to this tale though. One of which was some feelings of inadequacy on Grace’s part. Also, in how Grace and her husband, Brett, dealt with the fallout.
I was good with all that, too. Mostly.
What I absolutely did not enjoy was some strange competitive aspect that came about. It went from strained marital angst to full on cheesy sports analogies with the flip of a page and took me completely out of the story.
This could of been great. It had that potential. It was taking something dirty and taboo and making it into this pure, true love moment. Then it wasn’t that anymore and it was something all together different and it had to find its way back.
While I appreciate that it did eventually get back there, it was a huge bummer in the inbetween.

One Too Many
This is a ménage book by Jade West about Brett, Grace & Thomas.
One married couple in financial distress – One Stranger with a solution… One night – no hold bars – with your husband watching. A night to blow your mind away and who better to tell this than Ms West, a phenomenal story of BDSM and erotica.
I loved this book. I found it unique. I’m not normally an avid ménage reader but Ms West has now become one of my one-click Author’s.

I feel like this entire book was a cycle that just repeated itself. There was one main event this entire book focused on, almost to the point of obsession. I would have loved a broadening of the characters lives, some added backstories maybe? More depth. I’m not sure. But I was damn glad when I finished this book.
And if I ever read the word “shunting” again it’ll be too soon.

“One Too Many” for me was such an interesting and diverse read.
Whilst not my favourite of Jade’s books I still enjoyed and appreciated this very much.
This was certainly a very different read from the norm and I think that is what I found so intriguing about this.
The emotions explored here were very easy to get lost in and I found that this did manage to convey to me the deep sentiment that comes from knowing your partner inside out.
Perhaps not as much so in the beginning, But certainly later when Bret and Grace started to reconnect within there relationship.
Also, a side effect brought forth unwittingly by Thomas.
So what did I love about “One Too Many”
Well Brett and Grace’s marriage, it was like a warm welcoming hug.
There closeness and acceptance of each other but also that fact that they were flawed normal individuals, Was so refreshing to behold.
There eventual affection and support towards Thomas was also extremely endearing.
I loved that they had the ability to just accept things at face value. But also, the ability to question things when it was actually needed, does that even make sense.
The fact that this book and the story was just so normal, no tricks or gimmicks just folks trying to live there lives the best way they can, I loved that about “One Too Many”.
And OMG can I just say those bedroom antics,
HOT HOT HOT!!!!
anning myself here big style girls.
Joking aside the bedroom scenes here were amazing and compelling, so well written, It wasn’t just sex you could actually feel the tenderness and sentiment and also the playfulness behind the filth and corruption.
There was also perhaps a deeper message to convey here, a moral one, is it actually worth the risk to destroy something so precious as the love and trust in a union over money.
Could one night actually destroy a lifetime of affection and trust.
finally, I really liked how this jumped from each characters POV.
I felt much closer to all three from getting to play in each of their heads for a short time.
What did I have slight issues with, well it’s actually a short list and these are just my own personal observations.
So here you are,
I wasn’t really a mega fan of the ending.
So that’s it from me, this is a fabulously unusual read that you really should give a chance too.
I don’t think you’ll regret it.
I was provided with an ARC of “One Too Many” By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.

“One too many. It’s always that one that sends you over the edge.”
This is not an unfamiliar trope for a storyline. Wielding her pen, the sword of her imagination, Ms. West has created a masterwork with this trope with a story that involves the progressive development of primarily the two male characters with a deliciously dirty deviant delve in the dynamics of a MMF ménage.
Brett and Grace Foster are celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary in a state of despair. They had invested the inheritance Brett received from his Stepfather (really the man he considered his Father), into the purchase of a resort inn along the seaside of Wales. It was far away from the high-pressure jobs they both had in the city and it was their dream or maybe mostly Grace’s dream to run a successful business making people comfortable, happy and relaxed in this beautiful place.
They were vulnerable and ripe for the pickings. While discussing their distressing impending bankrupt financial situation, a stranger, Thomas Heath, steps from the shadows and offers them a lifeline. He begins bargaining for an uninhibited night of full use of Grace’s body from 9:00 pm until sunrise. The price is set at $50,000 pounds. Brett must also be in the room to watch the entire night.
Both Grace and Brett are almost in the state of shock as they agree to the filthy things Thomas describes he will do to Grace during their evening. He sets a date a few days ahead and orders numerous parcels in preparation for the evening. Grace is turned on even though she does not wish to be. The desire of Thomas Heath is a potent aphrodisiac. Along with her secret (or perhaps not so secret to Brett) desire, is the fear that she is truly not worth the amount of money Thomas Heath is willing to spend. Brett is fuming mad but in angry, but futile, denial. He cannot control how incredibly turned on he is at the filthy things Thomas Heath has discussed doing to his wife.
Thomas Heath has more than perverse pleasure at attempting to rock a solid marriage to its foundation as his agenda. This one is personal. He knows Brett and Grace from days long passed during their formative years in school growing up in the same home town. They have injured him unforgivably and the reader is not privy until near the end of the story as to the nature of his grudge and the source of his desire to wrest Grace away from her husband Brett. He has done this before many times and is jaded by the fact that the couples he has similarly proposed, placed greed above the sanctity of their marriage and the money they receive is poor comfort to the failed marriage they experience because of compromising the intimacy in their marriage.
Thomas Heath proves to be a patient and practiced lover. He is an extraordinary Dominant maestro of pleasure pushing Grace beyond her physical, mental and even emotional limits. He exerts superhuman control over his beautiful physique giving Grace moments of keening pleasure after pleasure. Brett has never seen his beautiful wife in this state and he is restrained electronically in his seat to insure he is not a participant or he loses all the money. He is intensely conflicted. He is painfully aroused and astonished at the depth of his wife’s capacity for rougher sexual exploits and not a little jealous.
After Thomas Heath leaves Brett and Grace, they struggle in the aftermath of the master cocksman that Heath proved to be, and Brett initially has little success in emulating this master. Eventually through love and perseverance, Brett has a revelation which turns his whole world right again. He becomes both a fighter for the business and every bit the skilled Dominant lover for his lovely Grace. Thomas Heath seriously thought that Grace would come to him leaving Brett behind after about a month’s time. Heath is surprised by the gauntlet that is laid down when Brett calls him instead inviting him to a rematch. This time both Brett and Thomas would pleasure Grace, and may the best man win. There is some naughty, dirty effery happening this night. This is a dream come true for Grace. Two men at the same time. Reading this is certainly not for the faint of heart. Lordy…this is heady, potent narration. However, soon a major revelation has the tables turned once again on this threesome.
It is surprising then that this über sexual exploration of interpersonal dynamics and desire has at its roots the strongest sense of morality without judging what occurred between consenting adults. Loving couples need something sacred for themselves despite all the inherent thrills in sexual explorations. Another person within the intimacy of the couple is “one too many”. Even serial sex itself without love and connection can eventually seem like “one too many” when the last partner you had unexpectedly breaks your heart. A life of vengeance is a waste and family is worth sacrificing for always.

I waited so very eagerly for this book to arrive. After Bait, I didn’t think I would ever be ready for another Jade West story. I stalked Jade everyday for updates. The blurb so fascinated me and her naughty teasers kept me on the edge of my seat. Just waiting for this taboo story to arrive. The premise so deliciously wicked – the answer to all your problems comes with an indecent proposal… one night with your beautiful wife. No holds barred but with one condition. You have to watch every single moment.
Jade certainly did not disappoint. Brett, Grace and Thomas’s story is so utterly twisted, so shocking and so fascinating that I was unable to put it down. I didn’t want to step away and miss one single moment with these characters. I expected smutty, sordid and sexy with this story. And yes, with this threesome that’s all there and then some. What took me completely by surprise and had me shaking my head was how complex Thomas Heath was, how solid Brett and Grace Foster were and how one proposition rocked their foundation, and how the past really can mold someone for good or bad.
There are some things that can truly spoil a great marriage. Sex and money… too little of one and not enough of the other most certainly will destroy what was once amazing. That was Brett and Grace. They threw everything they had into a dream and a hotel on the coast. They had big dreams for success and family only to watch as those dreams slowly but surely wash out with the tide. Bills piling up and their relationship strained to its breaking point, everything changes when a stranger checks into their modest little hotel on the coast.
Secret needs are revealed. Secret wants are unveiled. I watched this story develop and bloom with so much intensity and raw brutal honesty. It was breathtaking, exciting and thigh clenching. Hell, it was filthy, foul and eye opening. There is definite sexy attraction with these three. Chemistry and even a sense of camaraderie if it can be believed. Until that is gone and something else seeps in. Then something else happened. This book became a story of deeply held pain, regrets, and a chance at redemption.
Jade once again penned a beautifully written tale. Bold and daring. It left me gutted and sobbing, heated and fanning my face. I turned those pages until there was nothing left but an epilogue that only made me dare to hope for more later. This was amazing and so very well done!
FANTASTIC, Jade!

After being married for 10 years they were “in debt up to their eyeballs.” 10,000 pounds for 1 night. No now 20,000 pounds and hubby is to watch. Sold for 50,000 pounds.
Everyone has a price. Ours was fifty fucking grand.
Jade West writes about sex that makes you wish you had your man close by or woman if that is what you would prefer. I loved reading One Too Many. And, can’t wait to read more of her books.

Jade West writes some of my favorite ménage stories so I was really excited to read One Too Many. This is like An Indecent Proposal with a Jade West twist. It is filthy in a sexy and perfectly dirty way and delivers an emotional punch that is more than you may expect when you first start reading.
Grace and Brett are a married couple who are struggling under the financial burden of their bed and breakfast being forced to compete with a chain hotel. Despite still being very much in love, the strain and desperation of their debts are causing strain and bitterness in their marriage. Enter Thomas, who overhears their conversation about their limited options on the night of their tenth anniversary. He makes them a shocking offer. For a huge sum of money, an amount that will fix all their financial issues, Grace will spend nine hours in bed with him while Brett watches. Initially, Grace and Brett are horrified, but the more they consider it, the more clear it becomes that they can not refuse. As one can imagine, those nine hours bring about many complications, though the are not necessarily the complications one may imagine. Grace, Brett and Thomas’s story took me on a ride I was not expecting. Definitely hot and dirty and sexy, but also very emotional. I’m still not quite sure how I feel about the ending, dare I hope for a sequel? I always love Jade West books, and if you like your romances dirty and non conventional, I recommend this whole heartily.

Wow what a book! I’ve been dying to read this book since I first saw it mentioned. Jade West is one of my favourite authors and after seeing the teasers, I was more than intrigued where this story was going to go.
This book was both exactly what I was expecting and at the same time more than I was expecting. I was already getting an Indecent Proposal vibe from the teasers alone and I was expecting a hot and dirty read. Someone offers cash to spend a night with your wife…you know it’s gonna get filthy. What I wasn’t expecting was the emotional punches to the gut this book gave me. The characters are so very easy to fall in love with. Brett and Grace have a love that’s rare and they’re very easy to understand and relate to. Tom, on the other hand, is a completely different subject. I struggled so much with his complex character, although he did win me over in a big way by the end. While I wanted to love him, I found myself having to walk away from my kindle to calm myself down. I can’t remember the last book that left me in a constant state of conflicted confusion. I didn’t know if I wanted to punch someone or if I needed a cold shower while reading One Too Many.
This book is Jade West at her absolute best. She took me on an emotional journey that’s left me desperate for more from all these characters.
This is the first book I’ve read by Jade West, which was recommended and what a recommendation it was. This book had it all from hot steamy hardcore sex, angst, drama to love. This book is Jade West at her absolute best. She took me on an emotional journey that’s left me desperate for more from all these characters.
